Yes the leads are unrealistically written . All the other couples were realistic- his sister, her brother but these two -I don’t know- they seemed to live in La La land

I wouldn’t call him a fool and he really did not devote himself to loving her like some characters did in other dramas . He did not sacrifice everything. He had his own hurdles to overcome and his own dreams and goals. This couple was a team that kept boosting each other and there was mutual respect and love . It was a balanced mutual love . And love is never equal , there is always one person who will love more than the other.

Just putting my opinion out there. I have not finished this drama yet. On episode 25 . My question is this: how much unfaorness does Fang Muyang needs to swallow for others ? He does it willingly yes and it’s great but something like this is also what wears down human beings. No one can just keep on giving. - that is just plain unrealistic. That is why I like the the second couple better - his sister and brother in law. They are both very human- with jealousy , hatred, spite, anger and love. There needs to be a balance and the 2nd couple really shows that. That is why the fact that they love each other and will get through hardships sounds more realistic than the lead couple. One sided sacrifices are just a pipe dream, no couple can survive that

I really like Fang Mu Jing and Qu Hua’s story even more than the leads. It was very meaningful and had a lot more depth and maturity to it. They have written both their characters beautifully.

It looks like it’s becoming more and more dangerous for the ML to stay there and we really need to know the FL’s lineage

I think the ML is too prejudiced against the FL from the beginning. He has assumed so many things about her just because she is cold and a little closed off . He is too hostile towards her for no reason. He is being so overly intrusive about her private life. It is obvious that she is depressed and in a lot of pain. She needs to get a lawyer at this point because this is harassment.
