Ep. 28 was just amazing. We again see Arthur Chen’s stellar acting! And that conversation between Feng Yi and Duan Xu was so meaningful! It really moved me - what he said about He Simu.

And of course Duan Xu is not idle - he is hatching plans in the background. There will be two showdowns happening at the same time in the end- one with Duan Xu and the mortal world and the other between He Simu and Yan Ke. These last 12 episodes are going to be interesting.
When Yan Ke asks He Simu - Do you want to be human? ——- I was like - Oh no she needs to be careful. This deranged guy should never know her true intentions
The chemistry is incredible and she IS supposed to be older than him, it's established in the story. ML is deadly…
People don’t get that a younger actress would never have worked for this role. You need a confident older actress with the right aura to carry this role and Dilraba has outdone herself. Arthur Chen complements her as that young man discovering love for the first time . It hits the right notes

Well Duan Xu is actually very strategic. I would not call him weak at all. I would say that he is playing to her weakness- she always wants to protect him. His ultimate goal is to win her and have her by his side . The thing is he understands her very well and he is using that to his advantage. He could show his dominance in some other way - he also controls her senses. But he is choosing not to follow that path. I actually love DuanXu’s character
My question is this. Why should he be this ‘superior of men’ ? How do you even go about evaluating that .
I think the ML here is way more attractive than those cold narcissistic CEO, Prince etc. they always come with too much emotional baggage that they project on to the women . And the women need to become their ‘saviors’ almost like their moms
