Uea does make for a cute kitty but I was disappointed that there was nothing in the way of any further play in his kitty persona. What a tease these writers are.
Am I the only one who found the romance between the leads forced? Like I didn't find any chemistry between them…
Nope. Itās the weakest part of the story. The screenwriter Kim Eun-sook wrote Goblin /Guardian: The Lonely and Great God; an epic romance. She seems to put romance into her screenplays even when it doesnāt really fit. Moon Dong-eun and Joo Yeo-jeong are better suited as comrades and confidants.
Such a satisfying series. It washed away Song Hyeās stinky performance in Now We Are Breaking Up (a dreadful drama). She usually has resting fish mouth but she did a great job of a woman hell bent on revenge with bits of crazy, and a icy cold detachment. I wish they showed more of her scars and her skin as she really committed to the role by losing weight. The weakest part of the series was the romance. No need for it - they were fine as allies and confidants, otherwise an amazing script and cast.
OK so in my previous comments I said that Kiyoi seems like he is trying to make the relationship work while Hira…
Some people are incapable of accepting love despite it being presented like a gift. Hira is one of these people. It seems so simple all he needs to do is accept. He canāt fathom that his most beloved would love him. Itās the definition of tragedy.
[S01+S02]DO NOT WATCH This show unless you enjoy feeling nauseated &like punching the screen throughout! Are there…
Really? Of course there are. As a human being there are all types of people. There are people born of trauma, of anxiety and extreme shyness & social awkwardness like Hira. Both of these characters are not perfect which makes the series compelling.
Worshipping someone is a kind of objectification. This would be why Kiyoi is so angry. Moreover, Hira's inability…
I disagree. I donāt think he objectifies him. I think he lacks the emotional maturity to meet Kiyoi face-on as an adult so he hides behind a fan and sunglasses. He is a tragic character who has no self-worth, deserving of pity.
OMG Hira's fan boy act is grating on me! Kiyoi is craving for affection /confirmation from Hira and he even feels…
This is how Hira conveys āsafeā love for Kiyoi - it may seem frustrating but itās fascinating. He doesnāt have the maturity or self worth to meet him as an equal so he hides in the shadow behind glasses and a fan. He is a tragic character worthy of empathy.
Hira is a frustrating character which is why so many people dislike the series. He has no self love. He canāt accept Kiyoiās love and attraction even though itās staring at him right in the face. Itās heartbreaking when he doesnāt recognize how heās insulted Kiyoi by not wanting him to meet his parents. Ironically Hira canāt truly love Kiyoi until he loves himself first. Self love canāt be imbued.
This has all the high cheese of Unforgotten Night with a bit of extra steamy bedroom action thrown in. I see no white tigers but when you see an old dame in crazy glasses I am SOLD! Sign me up for this one!!!
