I'm not claustrophobic but I did suffer from severe panic attacks. Hyperventilation, high heart beat, cold sweat & muscular pain. When I had them, peoples did freaking out because it was almost like I was dying. Anyway, what show here was more mild but it's probably bad directing/acting than anything as like I said, if he truly had a panic attack, it's impressive to watch - even if it isn't deadly unless you have others underlying illness.

Don't know what weird stuff they smoke during the writing of the time skip to 2024 but it wasn't good. They twisted a character so much just to add a really badly written plot twist. It would have made more sense to add the fantasy tag & demonic possession than... that.

As for the last few minutes, I was already prepared so I didn't mind - I just ignore it as I know it's just censorship. They at least tried to work with it and give us something satisfying (some doesn't even bother to do that).

Anyway, 8.5/10 post time skip -> 6.5/10 after that. As it was just the last few episodes, I don't really want to punish an overall good drama so I settled with a 8/10 but it really left a bad aftertaste...

You sound like a 14y old edgy girl. She wasn't at risk of being killed at this point. Her whole character writings is about her safety (and her loved one). All she tried was to defuse the situation - by trying to bargain the life of the girl & asking her "friend" to help them.

Sure it didn't work but what was smart about killing the girl at this point ? Like I said her priority was to save ML not to become some sort of murder hobo. It's what I would call stupidity.

I mean, she is a modern girl and I don't know you but I hope I wouldn't kill someone that easily. Would I slap her & curse her ? Hell yeah but killing is a step I hope I would never dare to cross.

Anyway, her priority wasn't that at all, she just wanted to leave right now as everyone tried to kill her husband - she just wanted to save him and even asked to use the "evil princess" as leverage. For me, knowing the way this character was written it make perfect sense.

That being said, I don't know what her "unknown frustration" is foreshadowing but I wonder if she is affected by SJ's negative emotion (as they are soul bound) and would at some point cross this line (& probably break her in the process).

Yes like some have already said, it's clearly their weakest works. The blur between reality and the movie wasn't always obvious. It was intended I understand that but it made the whole thing needlessly messy.

Another thing that I disliked, it's a story about two guy cheating on their partner (the long haired guy is even married with potential kids - as he did said he need to return to his family but it's maybe a thing lost in translation).

They even tried to paint the "girlfriend" as the bad guy because she wouldn't allow him to follow his dream and saying undertone homophobic line like "You can't give him, a future". But for me, the moment they cheated, they are in the wrong. I'm really black & white on this matter.

It's a bit unclear but apparently he was guilty of something at least, not sure if he was the guy that sabotaged the team in the competition but at least he was actively helping them afterward (with holding the signal reflector/amplifier). I'm saying this because it said that he was guilty but as he stopped is wrongdoing he wouldn't be punish. His aunt in another hand take 1y of prison & get fired.

Zero experience doesn't mean being completely clueless about thing. I mean like in the last episode Kanade being shy because Mashiro is shirtless was just too much.

Seriously, the story is good and the characters themselves are good but I hope this trend of leads being completely innocent like they are literally child would stop at some point.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking NC scene or french kiss. Just adult being regular adult with adult behavior. If they really want character this innocent, like the previous poster said, just do a story about high schooler.

I'm not sure about that as the actor Tian Xu Ning got cancelled in a lot of variety show he have filmed (pixelated or deleted) + his next project got downgraded to a "special guest". Regardless if it was true or not, it did directly impact him for example.

Loved the Drama till the end. But they didn't have to ruin CZ character. Everyone is against him in the end & he lost everything. Don't get me wrong, it was a scumbag move to try to force the marriage with FL but it was all the Emperor doing. And what did the Emperor did in the end ? Blame all on CZ like it was never part of it. The old minister was right, he is just a dumb puppet. :P

Anyway, except some part that were quite weaker than the rest, ML & FL carried the show so hard so it's still a 9/10 for me (10/10 if the writing wasn't this lazy about their "break up" era and CZ character).

You will be surprised. China produce a TON of those vertical drama and clearly popularized this type of content. And now, everyone does them. It's cheap, it's fast and very compatible with mobile. It's the Fast Food of Drama. :P

Not really, I personally - and hope - no one here would do such thing. It's a minority but unfortunately it's real. The main point was the overall negativity, just hoping people talk a bit more about what they actually like instead of what they hate. It really wasn't that deep. :)

Just look at your reaction.

What I will say next do not take it personally as I don't know you so I cannot truly judge you over one comment but:

- People can talk about whatever they want but those days they mostly focus on what they hate on a drama.
- Then, People echo themselves making this hate wagon bigger.
- And finally, it's daily with the same ranting over & over again.

Again not about you, but some are just plain fanatic about the lead. Don't get me wrong I love them but the blind hate against any characters that get in between them is absurd at some point. Some people will literally go to the Actor Social Media accounts to spread their hate over that.

At the end of the day, it's just a fictional character.

Peoples just blow this out of proportion. I wouldn't say she is the most likeable character but there is nothing wrong with her (or the SML or FL's brother). It remind me of the current hate wagon of Chu Zhao from "Legend of the Female General". People just love more to hate than loving those days. Or more like, they are more vocal about it maybe.

"Who needs enemies when you have friends like this ?" is quite fitting here. :P

This girl is the dumbest character I've seen in a while. Discover that your Boss is a Yakuza ? Threatening him to expose him if he doesn't leave the company!

She is a spoiled brat thhat just discovered that her love interest isn't interested at ALL & she always enjoyed bully peoples BUT I don't mind that if she get whipped by FL afterward. :D

I mean, yes it's bothersome but it's still way better than any drama release outside China. Do you prefer 1ep/week ? :P

Can we have hope that the "demon realm" will actually be the good guys ? Because so far the "good guys" are all trash and manipulative bastard. I mean yes, they want to kill ML but it seems fair game as they are locked behind this purple wall because of his blood line. We will see but I prefer when thing aren't just black & white. ^^

A vertical format drama also exist. I never read the novel or the anime version but I can say for a vertical drama, it was really good so I'm glad to learn they will make a full length drama!
