I’m 43 and loooove the nc scene 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve rewatched it countless times 😆😆😆 but seeing as this is my favourite BL novel, I also love the plot. I just love everything about the novel. Oh and there are only like 3 nc scenes in the novel, so it’s all plot.

I was so worried they’d ruin it, as Thai BL can be…bad. But this is amazing. The casting is amazing. The screenwriter has done an amazing job at adapting the story. The acting is amazing. The production is amazing. The wardrobe is amazing. The sets are amazing.

It’s still unreal that this is TopTap and Minlee’s acting debut!!!!!

I don’t know what the manhwa said about the scene, but in the novel Jay was pissed that pink bunny had ruined his ‘fun’. Jay was grieving his mum but the only emotion he could express was anger. He wanted violence. He wanted to hurt people. Then this pink bunny sticks his nose in. Jay wanted to ‘play’ with the bunny (beat the shit out of him), but the bunny asked if he would sleep with a guy. Jay was a bit shocked, but thought ‘fine’. He could get it out of his system by blowing the back out of this meddling bunny.

Sun was also grieving his mum, but couldn’t cry. He was numb. He offered himself because he thought it would be painful and he ‘deserved’ that pain. He cried for the first time since his mum and brother died during sex. It was crying because of pain but more the emotional pain. He didn’t have sex to cry, but that’s what ended up happening.

Jay was fascinated by this bunny who was crying. He wondered how he could cry but he (Jay) couldn’t. He had been brought up not allowed to show emotion. He had a complicated relationship with his mum (she left him with his cruel father) and couldn’t remember being comforted when sad by anyone other than her when he was very, very young. Yet he comforted this crying bunny.

This is why Jay was obsessed with finding the bunny. He was the only person he had felt an emotional connection to since he was a small boy.

Another thing that I’ve seen people get wrong is the throwing money scene. People think Sun was paying for sex like he was a prostitute. That’s incorrect. He hurt jay’s injured arm and felt bad, so he chucked the money he’d earned that night to cover medical expenses.

That had a lot of promotion and budget. Things like payback, Deep In, Winter winds…blah blah…something Hill 😆, that other Thai drama with innongsa are really wowing and making a huge splash

The novel is amaaaaaaazing. Better than the manhwa. It’s my favourite BL novel. And if you like that, you should also read Deep In The Act. Phewwwwwwww. Hot hot hot (and watch the series that’s on right now Deep In)

Ok, maybe don’t read it all the way until the end if you don’t want the ended of the series to be spoiled lol but this had already knocked Addicted from my number 2 BL novel spot by the time I had read halfway through. Payback novel (I prefer the novel to the manhwa) is still my number 1, but daaaaaaamn it was close.

This series is obviously not as graphic as the novel (it would be porn. Good porn, but porn 🫦🥵), but they are keeping it close to the novel. Love it love it love it.

As for finding the novel online, there is a fantastic translation that is easy to find, but it only has half the novel. Do NOT read the AI translations because they are really, really bad. It took me a while to find the rest of the good translation because certain book piracy sites were all down, but some are back online now.

The official translation site (the one I read) license ran out, which is why it was so difficult to find the rest. The author has signed a new licensing agreement with someone else, but it hasn’t been released yet.

This was one of the funniest kdramas I’ve ever watched. I had to pause so many times because I was in literal hysterics laughing

It’s my favourite BL novel. I actually found it romantic just in the way that they were healing each other. I much prefer the novel because the manhwa misses a lot. This isn’t a fluffy romance story, like you said. It’s a dark romance and they are nailing it. They’re obviously not going to have the brutal gang rapes, but I’m satisfied they are including the seedy pimping out of actors. I’m just worried because there’s still so much to do and they’ve only got 3 ep left 🧐
