Are you maybe used to watching fluffy BL where they hold hands and closed-mouthed kisses?? If so, maybe don’t watch this or anything that’s based on a manga/manhwa/manhua. Your hands will get calluses from all that pearl clutching

I love, love, love this series. Hori Kaito is hottttttttttttttt. The after who plays the young Ryo, Fuji Ren, looks sooooooo much like him. It’s so believable. He’s also a wee hottie. It’s being pretty true to the manga, so I’m wondering how they’re going to fit the full thing into the remaining episodes.

TutotYim are great. I don’t hate it, but I don’t quite follow the story and the dialogue seems strange. Tutor’s character seems to be all over the place, too. I’m gonna keep watching and PRAYING there will be an uncut released

I…don’t know what this is about. It doesn’t really seem to have much of a story. Just lots of fluff. Some of the subs are missing and so much of the dialogue doesn’t make much sense?? Maybe it doesn’t translate well and these conversations make sense in Thai??

TutorYim are hot together and I loved that they even had a conversation about switching, which is soooooooooooo rare in BL, especially Thai BL. It seems really low budget. In the first episode, when they are about to leave the temple, there are VISIBLE MARKERS on the floor!! Green markers on a red carpet!! That is amateur stuff.

I FEEL ROBBED OF THE NC SCENES, NOT EVEN KISSES!! But oh my god it was sooooooo hot when he said ‘say “yes, daddy”’ 🫦🫦🫦🫦

I’ll keep watching because there have been some funny bits and they have such good chemistry

From the novel, wasn’t the whole point that he DID want to hurt him?? Lu Feng wanted to destroy Xiao Chen for betraying him and marrying a woman, when he spent so long fighting to escape his family to get back to him. He hated him. But, of course, he also loved him.

They RUINED Boston. They RUINED the Only Friends title. I’m never gonna stop being angry at this series. It sucked. The finale dialogue was so weak, like an inexperienced writer wrote it. Awful.

The dialogue of the finale was the absolute worst of the whole series. Just awful.

Please, no season 3. Let Only Friends die in peace, instead of the ‘in pieces’ we got for season 2.

The trailer showed it to be the dark, gritty story it’s meant to be.

Watch Alchemy of Souls (2 seasons and bloody fantastic). My Dearest (2 seasons) is brilliant. Oh my god it’s emotional.

I’m trying to think of what my very first kdrama was. It was probably on Netflix (I’m also uk). But I got hooked and now I basically only watch Korean and Chinese dramas. Sometimes Japanese dramas. I watch Thai, but only for BL. Thailand has the most BL, but KBL is bringing out more now. CBL is gaining traction and produced some amazing BL recently, but it’s difficult due to censorship of LGBTQ content and resulting pressure on actors etc.

I think my favourite Korean movie ever is The Witch. Amazing. There’s a sequel, which is really good. There was SUPPOSED to be a third movie, but the rights were sold to MGM or something and there was a hold put on it. I’m still angry about it. 😤
