I don’t think Khem’s reticence for the initial bulk of the novel works in the context of a drama. I like this change. He’s more interesting this way.

I don’t like being frightened, avoid horror, and am fine watching this home alone at night. Others are screaming. It depends on what grabs your viscera. There aren’t really any jump scares so far, which is why I’m okay.
