Share with me, what’s their relationship? In spoiler tag pls;).
Yes, from the spoiler, I read apparently the Bo sisters, s master and her sister were fleeing from the persecution of being attacked the Zushui Clan? They ended up in. I can’t even remember the name, female lead kingdom. While taking sanctuary there I’m horrible with names. The male needs faster. Her sister fell in love with the female leads master and got pregnant. The emperor was pregnant at around the same time so they gave birth close together. Unfortunately, female eats mother died during childbirth the empress gave birth to his son who didn’t have spiritual veins so she forcibly adopted the female lead and gave her son to the mail, leads master, bitter and resentful at what the empress had done she abandoned the infant in the wilderness. I think at one point she went back out of guilt, but discovered that he was gone. Her actions caused her intense remorse, all her life, and eventually she went back and found him and asked him to be her disciple, this is why she went against her clans wishes to not reveal the golden dream millet to the world to save his life

I think I read a spoiler that he’s actually her biological father. One of the reasons why she has to hide. Her identity is because the emperor had originally given birth to a boy, but the boy didn’t have spiritual veins, this is why she has to wear an illusion. So basically the emperor abandoned her son who didn’t have spiritual veins and traded him for a child who did have spiritual veins that was born around the same time. Which is the female lead
Even though I’ve read spoilers on who her master actually is to her when I’m re-watching episode 24 and now that she has the freedom to act kind of more like herself without the empress around, does anyone think that she and her master have remarkably similar personalities lol
I wonder why some people don't understand the character point of view, and their issue. also about the gdm, you…
I think personally because they need it spelled out for them and they can’t necessarily or don’t want to put in the efforts to read between the lines. On a surface level, they just see a character who can’t be honest and lies all the time he’s had plenty of opportunities to try and communicate and refuses to. They can’t look that on a deeper level. The characters are the product of their environments and circumstances.
And what are her priorities beyond healing herself? I’m lost.
it’s important because it was set up to keep the realms from going to war against each other so they came up with this duelling system instead. Winning the tournament and getting the blessed rain elevates your realms cultivation levels becoming more powerful. This is especially helpful to the lower realms that don’t necessarily have access to richer spiritual veins.
In a way this means it’s still a divided system because it means the upper realms like The female leads realm, and the second male leads realm have better access to spiritual veins so they can remain more powerful.
" So what made FL to think that doing all of this is better than just ask him and let him choose?"You…
I agree with everything you said, except I think that the story is more told from the male leads point of view since we get more information about his background and how hard it was for him growing up so that will empathize with him more . We know very little about the female leads background and have to read between the lines in order to understand her actions and behaviours, I don’t mind having to read between the lines
confusion - was she poisioned in the last event, or was she always poisioned and given antidote without her knowing…
OK, so from what I understand from reading spoilers from the novel in the novel, the Empress had consistently poisoned her every month from the age of 10 and if she did well, she got the antidote. I believe in the tournament where she fought against JZB the empress had decided to stop giving her the antidote.
In the drama series, I believe the tournament was the first time she had been poisoned it taking affect during the tournament was why she thought that JZB done it
Does Sito know that Ming Xian was always a girl, just disguised as a boy? When did he learn this? I missed that…
Yes, she was entering the entranceway to go fight in her battle for the tournament and he was just kind of hanging around the entrance because he felt like he didn’t have enough spiritual power to be qualified watch Ming Xian fight? He was covered in injuries from clearly being beat up by his siblings. She healed him and invited him to watch her fight and told him that it doesn’t matter to her that you can make something of yourself without spiritual veins. Now I think for this, she didn’t mean like for him to be a warrior or anything by her comment I think because you can’t be a warrior and have no spiritual veins I think.
I agree with you 100% I think the story is beautifully written. The miscommunication is annoying but 99% of cdramas…
I would say that the miscommunication parts are usually primarily part of the conflict of Xianxia dramas it’s one of the reasons why I could not get into Love and Redemption the misunderstandings a miscommunication just drove me crazy. At least for this drama I can understand. I can understand why they’re like that because of their respective backgrounds and environments and how they grew up

Don’t think that he initially knew that she was a woman. It would’ve been nice to see his thought process and actually putting it together instead of just accepting it, but we know that once he saw her draw her bow against another beast to save the fairies life after they were punished that he immediately put two and two together lol
In a way this means it’s still a divided system because it means the upper realms like The female leads realm, and the second male leads realm have better access to spiritual veins so they can remain more powerful.
