Ghosts, Mofang has a drama almost airing named The Glory. Let's support Xin Yunlai first big ML role. i know he…
I'm really enjoying The Glory, really intriguing and full of *moments* - I don't know how to describe but it's like drinking a justifiably expensive full bodied red wine. NB he's not giving the same puppy eyes Mofang gives though.
i tried to watch this drama while airing and found it boring because i couldn't get past gegeda-xingyun arc. Then…
If you find a way to let go please tell me.
I was rewording songs to this. Battle Hymn is my ringtone and I sometimes miss calls so I can hear it for longer. I usually avoid BTS which ruin my immersion but search them for this because I was hungry for any little titbit just to hold on longer.
And I am not the only wandering ghost still checking back here.
Up to 21 and loving how every plot twist keeps you hungry for more but never feels implausibly ridicuous. (But...what is with the upwards "falling" snow every now and then.....)
it's been almost a eyar since i watched this and I'm still a bit confused, what was the significance of the other…
Imho to show the danger of forbidden love and why main couple are so hesitant/ keep trying to distance on a personal level (in addition to obstacles from their commitments, sense of responsibilty , love for the world etc) . Because the man was formerly a uber god like our hero and being punished for falling in love with constant reincarnations always missing out on his beloved and suffering like in that one life we saw. Also highlights ML loneliness and probably some more things I can't recall off the top of my head right now.
my interpretation of the ending was more positive because - he chose to write notes so as note to lose their time together early on - as he continued writing notes his language became more familiar (at least if the the translators on viki are right) from calling her Lady Wen to Wen Wan to Wan Wan - he chose to come to the Lantern festival and brought a rabbit lantern as if to reference both Little Dumpling and her comment to her rabbit of "I trust my marital fate to you" - his micro expressions improved from initially hostile to bemused accepting to even slight smile at the festival even if he's seeing her anew each day- like another commenter said below, 50 First Date Vibes- - she was bravely enduring the loss and not giving up on him (symbolised by waiting at the lantern festival)
i.e. there is progress in the heart despite memory reset in the brain, and that was worth the pain and difficulty for the opportunities to avoiding all the disasters- they pay it together rather than he takes on the price all by himself.
I found nothing to watch. Waiting for the next Zhao Liying - Lin Gengxin project.. 😂
Agreed, they were a great pair even though I enjoyed her chemistry with the other guy, just added depth to all the......you know...the *waves hand in general direction of PA that is blocked behind a sanity saving fog*

I can't watch the Tale of Rose yet because I don't want to see him without Zhao LiYing and I don't want watch our Meet Yourself gal suffer.
But iirc in the interview with ZLY/LGX someone linked in the comments months ago (the "pull him out of the lake!!" one ) they said they didn't want to do a romance together again....so maybe they will avoid each other- or - their next joint project they will be enemies????
tried lots of stuff.. none of them worked.. sigh.. the Double was ok though and I enjoyed it.. but everything…
Same...sigh.....
A complete genre switch -with Parallel World- helped though, but now I can't finish that because I don't want to let go of the only thing that helped....which is daft really but Startitis (beginning about another 20 shows ) is also a strong force in the face of dithering procrastination.
I heard good things about the Double so , weirdly, I'm waiting to watch it so I don't expect too much from it as a lifebuoy and can enjoy it on its own merits.
Lol, also here after ShenLi... 🤣 The rollercoaster you mentioned is really fitting. I sort of liked the beginning,…
What are we going to do with this post Shen Li ennui? ?!
Yes the boredom here is really weird because all the ingredients seem right on paper, and although they start piling on tropes until one is punch drunk, they are done a bit differently from what I would expect , yet somehow it just doesn't engage the heart enough and the mind is left, as you say , spinning.
Is Floral Armour like Plot Armour, it doesn't need to make sense if you have a flower?
let me see if I got this right.
Heavenly Emperor: "give me the flower" Phoenix: "no!" *Phoenix nukes world, splits sky, becomes jinx * *HE forgets about flower whilst it is so badly guarded that a cook can take it to make soup*
HE: "give me the flower" Yan Yue: "Ok !" *HE Doesn't use flower, locks flower in vault guarded only by delayed onset amnesia curse*
Baby Egg "Give Mummy the flower!" Yan Yue and Mu Nan " OK! But Ouch" Peacock "No!" *rejected- poofs into nothing* HE "No!" *denied- goes back to bed to white-hairedly await possession opportunities whilst absorbing time magic*
HE: "give me the flower!" Phoenix "No! " *armies go to war, 3 realms endangered*
HE *stops time to say * " Give me the flower!" Phoenix - "er...OK!"
Flower poofs away: HE, seal on Yan Yue's spirit, all weapons, autocracy. Also Flower: doesn't go into new baby Phoenix (so good luck on your Nirvana baby egg), , instead goes into time dust to rewind Wei Zhi into the Sima Wangyue she felt no connection with and repeatedly stressed was not her, just so Chen Yan can say "I love you" and betray his saviour instead. The End
I watched this because everything I'd read suggested it would be bad, but after Shen Li everything is bad, so I thought it could be a sacrificial palate cleanser to redeem everything else.
In some ways it's not as bad as all that (although I agree with many of the criticisms and frustrations) In other ways: it's worse. And in still other ways it's oddly unique and less shallow than it seems from that admittedly glossy surface. I wish I'd watched it last year to be able to discuss it semi-live because I am so confused by that ending even after reading the discussion/ comments . This is like a roller coaster for the brain instead of the (failed aim of) emotions.

Wandering ghosts et al -how goes it? What will you watch next?
