A satisfying ending after all the other dramas I've watched even though there was tons of cliches. While You Were Sleeping was the last drama I've watched with an excellent ending. The others were sort of rushing to end it. Like once the plot has been solved they are thinking, wondering 'What now?'. But LOTBS made a proper ending to justify whatever mistakes they made in the whole drama. The actors brought the story together so well that there wasn't a moment where I thought this is getting boring. Sucker for star crossed lover stories and thank God didn't regret watching this drama.

To be honest, at one point I felt that the story was getting a little boring. But as a person who watched all 7 seasons of Once Upon A Time (an American TV series), I wasn't surprised at the twist and turns in this drama.

Both stories had the same concept; the difference between reality and fiction and what happens when both world clashes each other. Though it got messy and complicated after 1st few episodes, if you got a hold of the concept, its not very hard to understand and it'll make so much sense.

I was only able to finish watching this drama for Lee Jong Suk oppa. When I finished watching 'While You Were Sleeping', I thought I should give one of his other dramas a go. So far, W is my 4th drama of his.

I've nothing against the female lead (I sort of forgot that she was in the movie 'Always' and she was my fav in that movie) or the character (Oh Yeon Joo) but at some point during the last few episodes I felt that they were force feeding the romance and there was lack of chemistry between them. It was very cute in the beginning episodes. Personally I kept repeating those scenes again and again but during the ends of the drama, you can see its too forced and robotic once he entered the real world. They had so much potential to keep it going, but why did it went downhill? And some of the characters were shadowed by the main characters and their forced romance. The writers could have formed a better story line for Yeon Joo's father and two of Kang Chul's friends.

Overall, keep an open mind while watching this drama as it will keep you on your toes with its unpredictability. The anxiety and suspense kept me going.

Also, can I just take a moment to tell y'all what an angel Jong Suk is. I doubt he's a man made creation. My goodness, how can such a hot, sexy and cute person can ever exist. You know when they say 'find a man who can do both', well Jong Suk is the ultimate definition of it. His smile, oh God, there wasn't a moment I never swooned for his smile. So in love with him, I really don't know what to do with my life.

The spoilers from my Instagram feed made me watch this drama and tbh I didn't regret a moment. Or maybe the end of the drama disappointed me a bit. Okay, let's go one by one.

Plot: Was amazing. The 1st 12 episodes were amazing. Actually, it was good till the end but personally, I feel like they should have brought the story in a different direction. I mean when I think about again, I do get it but I'm a sucker for romance; forbidden, angst-filled kinda romance so I was frustrated and disappointed till it was running in my mind for a couple of days. No matter how perfect they were for each and other, they were toxic as well to other people so killing them off was the only choice because separating them at the end is out of topic.

Acting: All the actors did such a good job justifying their characters. There wasn't a moment where I thought "this person is annoying me". except for the b**** of a sister who started the whole mess. hahaha. I've never cried along with the main characters in any other dramas but when Kim Moo Young and Yoo Jin Kang were crying, tears dripping down my chin automatically. You can feel the pain both going through like it hits your core. Especially when KMY cried, you can feel that he's crying because his world just ended and that he has no other choice but to take such decisions and if he could, he would simply end his life on his own because the pain was too much to bear. This is the 2nd drama I watched of Seo In Guk and I have to say he did a good job improving. and I'm planning to watch his other dramas to see him in different genres. Christ, his eyes. His passive eyes. Like he couldn't give a damn about anything but they spoke so many emotions words cannot describe. ARGH...

Music: Perfect. Nothing else I can say more to prove my point. It was perfect. Slow mellow like music gets to your heart and stays in your mind for a long time. My main Korean music playlist consists of songs from drama OSTs, so trust me when I say I don't regret listening to the OST at least 3 times a week.

Rewatch Value: I highly recommend rewatching the drama but I'm gonna wait till this throbbing pain in my heart to settle down a bit before I could ever think about rewatching the drama. His pain throughout the drama spoke a lot and it kills me every time I think about it. So maybe a year or so maybe, who knows hahaha

So far the best drama I've ever watched. From the beginning to the end it never failed to make me laugh and even though I didn't cry, it was very heart wrenching. Everything was going so good and sweet till the main character crashed. Learned a lot about mental health. Its always okay to take a step back and take a deep breath no matter how tough life gets.

The plotline was perfect. None of the characters were overshadowed one another. Every one had their part to bring awareness. Even during the sad and depressing parts, the music uplifted me. Like a sudden burst light shining through. The OST was perfect, actors were perfect, and the ending was perfect too.

I'm here right after watching the last episode and my heart strangely feels full and content. There's a huge smile on my face as I'm typing this. Safe to say this drama did made an impact to me. The message that they were trying to convey through this drama was very clear.

Would rewatch it again and would recommend it to those who are having hard time coping life. Remember to always reach out for help when you're struggling and you'll realise that you are not alone.
