Mr. Gu looked bored with his life before meeting her. He was so lost in life that he didn't mind misfortune things happen to him and alcohol was his only way to feel better but now after meeting her he changed so much so i don't know why they think like this to tell you the truth and the kiss just because it was not zoomed in doesn't mean its awkward. It just felt right for this couple at least for me but i think in the future we might have another kiss that will be zoomed in. Just because Mr Gu is not like many of the other male main characters from other dramas where they express and show their feeling all the time doesn't meant he is not interested in her and bored its just his character is like this. If you mean "escape from her presence" by that scene where it was after she saved him from the dogs is because he is scared now since he really like her so much now and he know he will have to go away from her since his life is dangerous and it might be dangerous for her. Many people don't understand that when he say he is scared of her it means he like her since she is effecting his life and feeling so much now. ( I wrote all this since you asked for our opinions )

Exactly! me too I like slow romance more than fast one or ones where one of the leads or both of them like each other from the first minute of the show.

I really hope this season will be in china again like really it wont be new journey to the west if they wont really go to the west but i don't know if they can because of Covid.

Actually many people watch it in Korea and celebrities too like Gong Yoo as he shared about it and posted in his instagram and said that this deserve more views.

I mean My mister which is one of the highest rated dramas in MDL and also made by the same author of MLN reached the highest 5.5% nationwide only by episode 12 so i am not surprised that MLN reached only 4.9% by episode 12 which is so similar. It just this type of stories unfortunately don't have so high viewership rating in korea and also many people end up watching it in Netflix not only in TV which wont count. I am just comparing against other cable shows ( TVN - JTBC etc ) since you cant compare against free channels like KBS SBS etc.

I am with you on the rainstorm scene since it’s where mr Gu start liking her, I mean this quiet timid girl suddenly run in the rain and was about to risk her life to save him which made him scared from her because he start liking her and he is afraid of it since his life is dangerous and it might effect her but he wanted to become human and change before winter as she said so he decide to do the worship thing.

No they kissed for real go see the behind scenes it just the director wanted to make it look this way since this was the characters couple status and emotion at that scene it felt better to not be shown to the viewers or zoomed, I am sure in the future where that story reach a high level of intensity their kiss will be shown since at that moments and it will work with the couple status in the future with their emotion feeling so high so they will show us the kiss.

The romance is like 50 or 60% of the scenes. So it’s one of the main focuses but not like rom-com dramas where it’s like 90%

Each person feel and see chemistry in different way for me I feel the chemistry here and find it so strong. I also was in you position in other dramas one of the most famous examples is Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo almost everyone felt their chemistry but i didn’t. And here I don’t feel any chemistry between ki jung and tae hoon but I feel her chemistry more with her boss/coworker. So it’s not that we are ignoring it’s just everyone is different some can be like you and some are not. Also mr gu is bored with her? Since when? he enjoy being with her so much it’s clear.

That’s why I never watch the same story from two type of media or adaptation. Since it remove the element of surprise for me.

Well for me I find many legal and historical dramas boring, each person have different taste it’s normal. For me MLN is so far my favorite drama of 2022, I think this is a good start for you to know that this type of dramas is not your taste so now you can avoid dramas like MLN in the future.

I saw only the first two episodes of through the darkness and his acting their was already masterpiece so I don’t know if it will be better here but for me I saw his drama ”shark” back on 2013 many people didnt see that drama but his acting their was incredible too but this character in island might be even better since it’s another really hard role that if he nailed it it will be so crazy.

Omg the police here are so chill like for real he showed his leader the kidnap cctv and nothing happen after it no team of three to five people at least going to the building immediately and start searching and asking all people and start investigation like really it make your blood boiled i really hate these things specially in investigations dramas. And i feel its a mistake showing us the sister situation and where she is, Since by doing that they removed the mystery element for us the viewers here as now we know she is alive and where she is.
