Ho no, I do re-watch those also. Not so much Color Rush because part 2 is disappointing. To my Star (both parts) is in my top 5 of all BL. But I watched so many it's difficult to keep track. Semantic Error is a classic, but it's rushed. They wanted to do the drama before the whole novel was finished. They're not doing a part 2 apparently. The ending was good, but for those who also read the novels or webtoons, it can be frustrating.

Oh I don't know. The new one are nice to watch as they are short like Roommates of Poongduck 304 or Our Dating Sim. For China, I don't know. It's often very frustrating. The ban of BL on TV makes many story not as good as they could have been. They play with the limits between friendship and love, yet, it's never clear...

There is various type of BL depending on the country.
In Thailand, its not taboo, so the dramas are a bit more camp, with various LGBTQ+ characters.
Korea is more conservative, so it's gay, but the BL characters can't be defined by the way they are. It is actually more representative to the 80% of the gay population who tries be invisible. The love stories are cute, but they always keep it a secret or the relationship is only focus on the two, without family or friends (Semantic Error, The Tasty Florida, Light on Me).
Japanese BL is way more open. Even if Japan is very strict and very conservative, the gay population is safer in Japan with the discrimination law and trans people able to change their name. Their BL are vary from fiction about bullying (Fujoshi, Ukkari Gei ni Kokuru) or taken from popular Yaoi Manga (Cherry Blossom After Winter, Cherry Magic, Ameiro Paradox, Given, Love Stage, Minato Shouji Coin Laundry) or novels (Utsukushii Kare). The relationship with the family and the "necessity" of having a child (More Than Words, Watashi to Otto to Otto no Kareshi). It shows the sadness of being "straight" for your family. It also shows the gap with the younger generation who are more open about their sexuality (Takara-kun to Amagi-kun), and are not afraid of their parents.
Taiwan is the only Asian country that has gay marriage recognition. Their drama vary, but they also made my all time favorite (We Best Love).
Other countries are also starting to make BL like the Philippines.
I do love any good BL, and I watched many movies and drama from all around the world. Japan is my number 1 because they were the first on Yaoi and BL.

Cannot wait to see what they did from the novel. It was a bit complicated in the book, and Kawi was very straight, a bit homophobic at times to my view. However, he realised he missed his friend and became, in fact, in love with him for what I remembered.
Fluke Gawin Caskey replaced Mike Chinnarat Siriphongchawalit and they've change the the script as well, to be more about love than resentment from the original script. It should be 12 episodes and not 10.
I don't know if their is anyone from the LGBTQI+ community here, but with what is happening in the world against my community. The fact that America is becoming more and more like Russia, China or North Korea toward Gays and trans, don't you think it is brave to be an idole, loved by many, and do a gay drama? And I am not talking about the campy, drama queen kind, but a regular gay drama. Something that 80% of that gay people, who are NOT on the Gay Pride, who just live normally, who can fade into the world without people noticing their sexual orientation. Not in the closet, but who just wanna love who ever they want without caring. I am that kind of person.
People don't insult me for being gay, because I never cared about them. I don't wear a flag, and my family knows who I am. So why do we have someone like fubanshee666 complaining about 2 guy kissing, whoever they are. Who knows if they are gay or not. Maybe even bisexual, but who cares???
Korea is not homophobic. Compare to a few countries in Europe, maybe. But watch the news and see what is happening around the world. In France, we don't even have BL drama, while we can get married. So, it is a way to say "be gay but sh.t up!". No parental rights, and no protection against homophobia. I already talked about the USA, but I can talk also about many European countries like Poland, Italy, and other who have laws against LGBTQI+.
Yes, Korea is NOT a gay friendly country, but yet, they are changing, evolving, in the right direction. In 20 years, Asian countries may be more advance in accepting this community than anywhere else in the world.
Boys kissing Boys, Girls kissing Girls, Boys kissing Girls... Isn't it all about love? Isn't it better than hate? Leave the idoles and celebrities make their choice about what they wanna do with their life. Stop judging who they love. When you love someone, you respect their decision instead of becoming a bully because you are NOT the one they love....
And, by the way, the lead actors are actors AND idoles. Zuho is already known for his acting. Lee Sang Min will do another BL drama (YRU Korean remake), Chae Soo Ah did The Eighth Sense earlier this year. Film directo Park Sun Jae already did 2 popular BL Korean dramas : Color rush 1 & 2, and Mr Heart.
But the worse is that they already made a similar non BL drama like that. So why do another one? Why not just keep the BL part and do a fantastic job with it? Especially that the "Gangster" who took over the body has a daughter (so, not gay), but will become more open. So the "gay part" will not come before late in the drama, if they did. So why not just keep it as it is? And what about the gangster's daughter?
I am deceived because the novel is a BL, and they decided to take out the BL part. Why? Because it's a real action novel, where the gay guy is not a stereotype (well, at least after the reincarnation). They are shameless for this. Taking an amazing Queer story to be straight, like there is not enough of those already? Now they have to steal BL stories too??? I am very upset, because it's not the first time...
Tai (Saengtai) as a gift: when it rains, he can't ear anything apart the voice of his soulmate. But, in time, what he believed as a blessing turned into a nightmare and start to loose his trust in Phat who he can ear even when it rains.
Other description from myanimelist.net : Michi Yoshino is unsatisfied with her married life. She and her husband, Youichi, get along just fine save for one fact: they haven't had sex in two years. In a romance that has grown stale, Michi wants to rekindle what they once had, but You is indifferent, always pushing it off to another day. As the distance between them grows ever more insurmountable, they drift apart emotionally and become disconnected.
Luckily, Michi finds solace in her male coworker Makoto Niina, who is in a similar situation with his own wife. Bonding over their shared pain, they give advice and support to each other. The two grow closer, each working to save their own marriage, but is there truly any love remaining to reignite?
To quote you, "I am not Korean, and I am not member of any fan club. The fact, that you like it or not, is that…
"How do you think that you know more than me? Are you in my head? Do you watch what I'm watching? Are you assuming that none of the rest of us have any Korean friends? "But you, judging me without even knowing me, that is saying a lot about you. " YEP. Sounds like what you've been doing all along." Well, then you understand perfectly what you're doing to me. So, how was it to be on the other side? Do you now realised you just being doing it to me for days? All you said in here is exactly what you are doing to me. I have said many times that I just repeated what the press said. I did say many times I just wanted to make people understand why it's a big thing in Korea.
"Good grief. Some of us have been watching dramas for years and years now. Some of us have grown up with Korean-American friends. Some of us (ME, in fact) have gone to graduate school with folks from Korea. Some of us have read extensively about Korea and its culture and its history" Of course, I shared my view when you're judging the Korean people. But you know, you should make your "Korean friends" read your posts. Are you pretending you have Korean friends who actually lived in Korea for 40 years (yes, I am 40). Not kids, I'm talking about adults. You know, the one who actually were victims of the politics and corruption in the country, or the one who hasn't fled Korea after the stock market crash in October 2008 (If you know Korean history, you should remember this because Lee Da In was proven guilty of being part responsible for it). So if you know as much as you said about Korea and still think you can judge them ? Why? Because you have Korean friends? It's like a white person saying "I'm not racist, I have black friends"!
I will answer your other comment, but it's over. You have no argument whatsoever. Nothing you said had any values. "I am right, you are wrong" That's all you're able to say.
To quote you, "I am not Korean, and I am not member of any fan club. The fact, that you like it or not, is that…
I CAN READ THE PRESS AND WATCH THE NEWS FROM KOREA!!! And I don't see why me knowing more than you makes me a bad person. But apparently, apart from the fact that you can insult me without any argument, it's me being the bad guy. I learn history from actual Korean people. Not being Korean doesn't mean I don't learn from them. But you, judging me without even knowing me, that is saying a lot about you. You could watch also some variety shows from Korea to have a better idea about what the celebrities are like in Korea. Very, very different than any other countries. So making it personal by insulting me when you know so little, THAT sounds pretty stupid to me.
