I kept thinking, when first SS was telling off MaHD and SJ (I assume by tone of voice that’s what he’s doing)…
Makes too much sense. I'm guessing this is what his father is or will tell him. But he refuses to listen to SD about anything.

I've seen nowhere so far in the drama where she's been legally declared dead. I've always assumed they're still…
Oops. Agreed, I just posted something similar just now.

Knowing how MR was lied to and used in her previous relationship, she deserved better from KS. I'm disappointed…
I can't process how he wouldn't have realized he needed to protect her from SJ? All this does is give more ammo to CR that he isn't fit to be her husband.

The first thing KS should have done is make sure he's not legally married before he proposes to someone else.…
I think it's reasonable to assume 2 things (at least) that we didn't get to see on screen, but would have happened in the background:
1. KS, being the thoughtful person he is, would have notified the detective assigned to her case (he was introduced in the early episodes) after the suicide note/witness testimony to have him followup and close the case. The Detective would have had her declared dead and processed the paperwork. That's his job, after all. And he would gladly have closed out this cold case.
2. SS, would have eagerly filed any further supporting documents as when he first came to live with them, he urged KS to file to have her declared dead by missing for so long (this was before SD had SS make up the divorce papers). So SS would be ready for this.

It's the writer's fault for being so rushed now that we are missing several key scenes in the show that are leaving a lot of loose ends, which have us collectively scratching our heads.

It does have enough story (potential) for 50 eps, the writer is just an incompetent hack who never came close…
There is easily enough content for 50 eps, if they had properly structured the show to include the secondary couples, just limiting them to Uncle/Hee & YM/DW.

"Talking about how TRHC is fun...."https://media.tenor.com/S8RiZi_kVDQAAAAd/lies-liar.gif
The scenes shown in the clip are from when he saw his car with her writing on it, when they first met, the single mother's event, the ice skating rink. I'm not sure what the latest episode would have been there?

So for the Guess-the-episode-JanDi-finds-out-about-her-Dad pool:
I'll guess next Wednesday, Episode 109. I don't think there's time for this Friday and next Friday will be too late. (I'm aware I'm blowing my own prediction that this is Friday-Cliffhanger worth material)
Have a good nite, everyone!

You're much more diplomatic than I would have been.
I had started to draft one after reading yours, and figured I'd better stop and just shut up. :-)

FWIW, KBS AMERICA has finally started running a promo for this show....yeah, they're a little behind the times, LOL. (They air shows 1 week behind what we see on KBS WORLD and domestic services.) What's interesting is that the promo is only focused on the first maybe 5-7 episodes of the show, and talking about how its fun.

DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!!!

With the flaming dumpster diving direction this drama has taken, you can bet that we have to sit thru a full bullshit…
And never married either. At least they gave us about 10 minutes of the last episode to show their life together in the future.

I forgot the one moment that made me laugh in today’s episode. When auntie asked to use JH’s phone and he…
If big Dong closes the bakery, then she should elope with DH and open their own place in another town. There's nothing keeping her there.

I did also laugh that she asked dongie if her brother was still guarding the door so she couldn't get out, and he said 'yes'. Then next thing you know, she's rushing out of the apartment building into DH's arms. UHHHH, CONTINUITY PERSON?????? Maybe she punched-out big dong to escape?

Practically speaking: Now that she has a rich daughter, what does HD need KS for? I mean, seriously, she can cut him loose since all he was, was a beast of burden for her. That's over now, she has no real need for him....let him go to MR. What am I missing?

I still like my idea of Sun Ju and HD pulling a Thelma and Louise and staying dead.
All I know about it, is 2 women go crazy and drive a nice car over a cliff. and THATS ALL I NEED TO KNOW. YEESH....

sad , but great ending. May happen - who knows! All this time spent watching this show - down the toilet.
It's not really 'sad' per se, but fitting. I feel that there should be some kind of underlying message to each of these shows. I think here, it's SUPPOSED to be that class-differences can be overcome by true love? But I see it as 'dont worry, its OK to think of yourself as a loser because you'll get the princess after all'. Which to me is the wrong message. If he had the proper character growth in these 100 episodes and did become assertive, clear-spoken, proud, and dynamic and fought for his love with MR, then he WOULD deserve the princess, and a good job at HDF. "believe in yourself and do your best" should have been this series theme.

I realized too after subs that he is shell shocked. But i really want him to get ANGRY. Enraged! At YJ, HD, JD,…
I agree with you, but unfortunately, he's not that kind of guy. He internalizes everything because everything is his fault. It's why he ended up in the ER that time...he can't stop serving others and sacrificing himself.

I've never seen that movie, it sounds too violent for me ;-)

Wow, another hairpin turn on the SJ express line! Ep 104 takeaways:

JD's lineage is a secret from the family. SJ trying to buy affection from her sis and mom. And those 2 realize SD will blow his top when he hears she's back (at least HD is aware of that much). YJ tells her brother that she'll support him no matter what (THANK YOU YEJUN).
I am sticking to my call from last week: SJ will tell JanDi about her parents. I have no doubt the way SJ looked at KS at the fancy restaurant #2. Why? Not sure, but she'll use it to her advantage. When? I don't think there's time this week with only 2 eps left, but they are moving so fast now.
I have no idea why KS isn't telling SS. Like he's not going to find out in that tiny house? Dumb. And it's odd that HR isn't telling anyone of what she saw. Not even her brother?
KS is at least showing some resolve at the end of the show. But this is the time for action, and he's not that kind of guy. Look out, MR....you're about to be blindsided because KS is too dumb to tell you.

Which got me to thinking when I was at the gym today (working out is really boring and I need this show to have something to think about):
We've complained that this show was more about JH's love life than KS's. But the truth is, this show IS KS's story. JD, HD, MR, all the rest are supporting cast in reality. And the sad part of this is that he's shown NO character growth in the time we've seen him from Ep 6 and it's 10-year flashback to now. He's still the same cringe-worthy doormat we complained about here months ago (one of the commenters then even had a psychological name for his behavior). Right now, he needs take charge of his life. Yet, nope. Not happening.

Look, we all know he marries MR in the end with JD by their side and they go off happily-ever-after, even though that may happen in the last 2 minutes of the final episode. That's because the writers don't have the guts to have him do the stupid and inevitable thing where he breaks up with MR and returns to a loveless relationship with SJ for his 'familys' sake. Which would show us that being timid and submissive is NOT how you should lead your life. I could still make a case for what I said jokingly a few months ago: The last scene in the finale is an older, grayer KS back on the streets again, handing out flyers for a once-again missing SJ. And in the background he's spotted by an equally older MR, with her 3 kids and husband. He sees her staring at him and asks 'Do you know him?' and she says 'No, not really'.
THE END.
