I agree with the comment about an emotional and sensual scene. (Never thought a hetero grandmother could get so emotionally invested in a BL love story or that it would be a total turn-on.) Great acting.

Why is a celebrity dating categorized as a "scandal" in this day and age, so weird to write an atricle on here…
Agreed. I wrote a similar comment, but then wondered if “…what we got here is a failure to communicate.” (‘Cool Hand Luke’, 1967, with Paul Newman) Maybe the word dating has a connotation we don’t understand.

GIVE ME A BREAK! Since when is “dating” a scandal? It’s normal adult behavior; even celebrities should be able to enjoy sharing time and affection with someone. Why is “dating” being discussed ad infinitum in the media? Are they harming someone? Are they breaking any laws or secret moral code? In Korea, is the word “dating” a euphemism for doing something filthy and perverted? I’m asking a semi-serious question. It took me several dramas before I realized that when the English subs say, “I like you,” it’s a bad translation. In English we would almost never say “I like you” in a romantic context; it’s too weak to express romantic feelings. We use “like” in a more generic way; we like fish, or baseball, or a friend. If we are being romantic, we might say, “I care about you,” or “I love you.” My point is, maybe “dating” and “scandal” mean something different in Korea that I don’t understand. If not, and fans think “dating” is a scandal, all I can say is, “Get a life, sweetie!” The real scandal is that a celebrity’s career might suffer if fans learn they’re guilty of a terrible, ghastly, unthinkable crime like…uh, “dating?”

Review Kakafukaka
Too many spoilers and too much information. I haven't watched yet, but the unusually long review seems like overkill unless the reviewer has a personal bias.

Let me add...The Legends, Two Weeks, Warrior Baek Dong -soo, Summer Scent, Ilgimae, My Love From the Stars, Third…
I prefer happy endings, but sometimes a tragic ending is appropriate. If I understand the author's intention, this list is about bad endings, not necessarily sad, just bad; perhaps they were poorly written, directed, acted, or just plain incomprehensible. They are endings where the audience feels like they are victims rather than viewers. I disagree slightly with the list above. My Absolute Boyfriend (Korean version) has an interesting ending. There are strong clues that in the future, the ML and FL will get their "happily ever after," (we all know who the mystery man at the end is, although we never see his face). My Love From the Stars has a good ending. It's satisfying, mostly happy, well acted, and with good directing. I'm not sure why it's on your list.

True. And I wouldn’t mind a second season. But I was so disappointed with the blah ending. Don’t you think the earlier episodes showed they were capable of a much more interesting, exciting, and original finale? The “mask” was an enormous turn-off for me.

I’m so glad people still watch “Farewell My Concubine.” As an older U.S. citizen, it may seem odd, but I’m a huge Leslie Cheung fan; he was brave and brilliant. The western world discovered him because of this movie. Sadly, it’s been more than 20 years since his death. I’ve always wondered if he really committed suicide; or, was his death linked to the Hong Kong transition to Chinese control, his popularity as a bisexual Hallyu/global superstar, and a crackdown on so-called “deviant” behavior? Did he embarrass someone in a high position? Hey, there’s a script somewhere in that thought. Anybody want to collaborate?

Person Zhang Yi Long
Excellent actor. How tall is he? My eyes are drawn to him whenever he’s in a scene. I’m not sure if it’s his acting, stature, or charisma; or perhaps all three.

Title Warm on a Cold Night Spoiler
Anyone recommend me a good drama that is currently hiring?
Here are some recent dramas, although they're not airing at this moment. I've watched them, and they're all very different, and very good.
1. "Love Between Fairy and Devil" is a C-drama starring Dylan Wang (Wang Hedi) as the Devil and Yu Shu Xin as the Fairy. It's a Xianxia fantasy with beautiful scenery, lots of action, good character arcs, and a fierce attraction between the ML and FL. There's even a sequence with a "body-switch" that both the ML and FL handled with skill. Wang Hedi absolutely nailed his "feminine" role without going over the top. I love actors who know their craft.
2. "Reborn Rich," with Song Joong Ki as the ML, is a modern day K-drama, but with a "wu-wu" element (i.e. a mystical or fantasy plot device). It's a mystery that dissects social issues like corrupt politics, high-finance, and the world of the chaebols.
3. "Alchemy of Souls" is my favorite. It's a K-drama that pays homage to the Xianxia genre. AOS stars Lee Jae Wook, who leads an impressive cast, although you can't take your eyes off him because he dominates the screen with a skillful, mature performance. In addition to the good acting, there are fun special effects, interesting characters, and a well-written original plot.

Title Warm on a Cold Night Spoiler
Hi, no specific spoilers please, but can someone let me know if the ending is good or sad for the pairing of General…
The Chilan/Crown Prince relationship is part of a plot twist, so I can't say much without a spoiler. When the villain is revealed, the writer used an old, and disappointing, gimmick that didn't feel organic to the story. It created many unanswered questions, and tore holes in the plot. I wish he had written something clever and original. For the ML and FL, there were some sad moments near the end, but ultimately they end up together and happy, although not in a conventional way.

They looked astonishing beautiful on their wedding gowns 😍
Well, at least I know they got married in the end. Isn't your comment considered a spoiler?

I didn't want to comment any more on your irrational ranting, but Cyril, sweetie, you're wrong. Once a person is convicted of a crime, it's no longer an "allegation." Weinstein was found guilty. This is another instance of a common syndrome called "opening your mouth before your brain kicks in." If people disagree with you because you distort the facts and write half-truths, don't get angry with them; get help.

Wow! You've got a lot to say; and some serious anger issues. What does it reveal about you? What triggered your violent verbal venting? (Sorry, I like alliteration.) Hate is bad for your health, so please calm down. This isn't the place for under-educated political rants. The rest of us are trying to discuss LSG. Fans have the right to discuss, criticize, or support his choices, but should their opinions hurt his career? Is he less talented? Is he doing something illegal? Personally, I hope he continues to be successful. If his loyal fans openly express their support and compassion, the haters will soon give up and look for new victims. If Korean agencies, brands, or production companies choose to let fans make their business decisions for them, then I can choose to stop watching Kdramas. That's how a free society works. Cyril, get well soon, sweetie.

Let’s stay on point. We’re talking about the power of Korean fans to dictate to celebrities how they should live their personal lives. Some of your examples are irrelevant. For example, Brad Pitt’s choice of lovers didn’t end his career; nobody cancelled his movies when fans made unfavorable comments. Weinstein’s well-documented immoral and illegal behavior ended his career, not the fans. In the U.S., fans are allowed to freely express their opinions, even unpopular ones. But it’s the 21st century; unless there is strong evidence of wrong-doing, we don’t expect celebrities to drop to their knees, apologize, and beg forgiveness for loving someone the fans don’t like. Yes, like every other country, our nation is flawed, but the U.S. still represents one of the most open-minded and progressive countries on earth when it comes to personal freedom, especially freedom of speech and freedom of choice.

He's so good - and different - in When the Weather is Fine. Worth watching for him.
I'm also a rookie and have Prosopagnosia (face blindness). It makes recognizing actors challenging. I have to be aware of strong or unusual individual features, such as odd eyebrows, jaw lines, prominent noses, hair color, etc. Lee Jae Wook has a unique look: so he is easier for me to recognize. Remember the FL's younger brother, the programmer? He worked with another kid, a hacker named Han, who looked Goth. Lee Jae Wook played Han.

I wanted to thank MR. TURTLE.. It did a very good job in acting. Very clever too. Its final performance for swimming…
Agreed. I loved the turtle, too. He had a pivotal role but you’re the only one to give him credit for doing an outstanding job.

known fact : it's a plagiarized drama who's doing cultural appropriation
Whoops. Another spreader of misinformation. Sweetie, please don’t say it’s a “ known fact.” You don’t “know” any such thing. You’re just trying to make a point by pretending others agree with you.

Have you seen him in “Memories of Alhambra” ? He had a small role as a hacker (not the missing brother; the other one). He even stood out in a bit part.

It just doesnt follow the laws definition of plagiarism, but we all can see it is indeed a copy. Its not even…
You said, “…we all can see it is indeed a copy.” No, “we all” can’t see any such thing. First, you are not a mind reader who knows what "all" of us are thinking. You’re stating your own personal opinion and don’t have the right to speak for the rest of us. Second, it's an old trick to claim “we all” or "everyone" agrees with you. You’re just pretending everyone is in agreement with you in order to add credibility to your claim. Politicians do it all the time, but only gullible or intellectually impaired believe them. Finally, without proof, your statement is just a lot of worthless noise. If you can’t prove it, then all I hear is “blah, blah, blah.”
