It made me think who the real demon was

I randomly found this movie, the title seemed interesting and I like watching action movies but in it's core this is not an action movie, not even a thriller, it's psychological.

Story
I liked it, I enjoyed watching this movie even if it was disturbing and violent. It's definitely not for everyone.
It's a bit slow but from the very first scene it's building up to the ending.
Dave saves a criminal and he feels guilty about that, it's hard to decide if what he did was right or wrong but that was his trigger.
The scenes with Dave are the bast parts of the movie, he is a complicated character. You can't say he is a bad person but he did do some bad things.
Some might consider the ending sad but I think it suits the whole movie. It makes us think what was real and what was fake and the whole build up pays off.

Actors
I don't have a lot to say, every actor did a great job. Daniel Wu shows emotions really well and he definitely brought the character to life.
Nick Cheung as Hon Kong, the villain was also great, his smile was creepy and I hated his character.

I think the quote at the end sums the whole movie pretty well "In every MAN there is a latent MALICE."

Does true love exist?

That's the whole premise of the movie. The deities bet if it exists or not by cursing a random human child.

Sangui is adorable and you just want all the good things to happen to him but the poor guy is cursed and only trouble finds him. He wants to find his first love but he is scared because he thinks she thinks he is a freak so he first wants to break the curse.

On his journey, he meets this weird girl obsessed with wanting to find a cursed prince and becoming a princess. I genuinely though she might kill him at some point while she tries to break the curse. She took the break part quite literally. I liked how they resolved this, it was cute.

Then he meets a witch but she is not actually a witch, she just can't sleep. I loved their friendship and the way they helped each other. He helped her sleep and heal and she showed him his curse is not that bad.
Regret is also a curse. I loved that line.
Her story is beautifully heartbreaking.

I like how everything is connected in this movie with lines we might not notice immediately.

The whole movie has a soothing and warm vibe. The music is beautiful and fairytale like. I can't explain how much I like music in this movie.

This is not a romance movie, it's a movie about healing and finding yourself.

Overall, I recommend it. It's cute.

It's called forbidden zone for a reason

I watched this randomly, it's not bad. It's actually entertaining but I didn't like it. I didn't like the main character and I didn't like the story but I still watched the whole thing and I think it's decent.

The CGI is great and the fight scenes are interesting.

The main character is weak at the beginning and then suddenly he is over powered at the end.

There's this one scene where they try to stop the rock with swords and it reminds me of the scene in Guardians of the Galaxy where they try to stop the ship with the net made of robots. It kinda looked like that and it was funny for no reason.

It's a typical story, the main character is special but he doesn't see it until all of his friends die. I'm not joking all of them die (except one and you will know immediately who that one is). I actually started playing a game Who is going to die next? while I was watching. I managed to guess every time. Yay for me, nay for the characters.

My favorite character was the villain, the black haired one. I hate how he didn't get his cool moment and power at the end. I get the point, he was greedy and that destroyed him but I still wanted to see him kick the main characters ass.

The main character is as interesting as a broom. His power never works when someone is dying and at the end he annoyed me with how happy he was that he defeated the villain. I know, I'm slandering him a lot but I don't care. I don't like him.

Overall, it's meh. Watch it and you might (not) like it.

Stupid heart wants what it wants

I tried to watch the short version a while ago but I couldn't get through the first episode. I somehow didn't like anything about that drama. This comes out and I completely ignore it with the intention to never watch it and that's the reason I watched it.

I thought I would hate watch it but I was so wrong.

There are many messed up things with this drama. The beginning, the cheating, the bets, Vee being hurt by Ploy cheating when he cheated himself, I could go into details but I won't.

So why did I give it a high rating?

I enjoyed the mess. It was awesome.
Vee is my favorite character and I loved seeing him suffer.

Two of my favorite scenes are:
1. Ploy hugging Vee at the balcony begging him not to leave her, Vee looks towards Marks balcony and Mark just stands there watching them. That's when Vee started crying hard.
That scene lives in my mind rent free.
2. Ton comes to ask Ploy to be together again, Vee leaves them and goes to the balcony, turns towards Marks balcony only to see Nuea and Mark smiling, turns towards the door, Ploy and Ton are hugging.
Karma really said it's my time to shine.

Vee definitely suffered his share of pain for everything he did to Mark.

Mark took his revenge but in the process he hurt himself too. It starts to get obvious he loves Vee too much.

I hate cheating but the story wouldn't be so spicy without it.

The angst was so good and then the sweet moments were even better because you know what they had to go through to get there.

Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who likes very dramatic and messy dramas and can look past all the red flags.
Put the red glasses on and enjoy.

Kara and Satomi fighting over Yuki for nine episodes

This drama is a mess but it's an entertaining mess.

Story
Overall, the story is good.
Who is Kara and why is she obsessed with Yuki?
It's explained in a few plot twists at the end. I predicted them and I think anyone who watches a lot of crime dramas can see what they are.
The ending is wacky. I'm not disappointed but it could have been better.

This drama has a great (not love) triangle , Kara is obsessed with Yuki, Satomi is obsessed with Kara and wants to prove she is involved in a crime and Yuki thinks Satomi is cheating on her with Kara.

Yuki was annoying and kinda dumb, she gets better later but her character wasn't really fleshed out. She is Kara's obsession and Satomi's girlfriend, other than that there's not much importance.
She trusts Kara who she met a few days ago over Satomi who she knows for years.
She goes to the villa in the woods with Kara and doesn't tell anyone.
She is okay, meh character.

Side characters are also dumb and annoying. Sometimes so dumb I want to slap the screen. They don't investigate anything properly and they are fast to point fingers at Satomi.

Satomi is cool. He is smart and he does everything to protect Yuki.
He was the one who realized Kara was fishy and started to investigate her.

Kara is cool and smart. She is also crazy. She keeps murdering people but nobody seems to notice (except Satomi).
She is always close when a murder happens but the police can't connect the dots.

What made this drama awesome were Satomi and Kara. He keeps chasing her, she keeps running away.
It was fun watching them. Their dynamic and conversations were what made me watch this drama to the end.
For them this drama gets 10/10.
For the rest 7/10.

Would I recommend this drama?
I don't know.
It's a bit frustrating in the beginning, ep 1-5, it gets good and crazy from ep 6 and then ep 9 is completely insane (insane in a way leave the logic out of the door).

A delivery of things and feelings

It's two in the morning and I just finished this drama.
I have the tendency to binge watch stuff because I quickly lose interest, not all the time but most of the time.
With this, I watched one or two episodes a day. I took my time and I had fun watching it.
It's slow and the big mystery is stretched out till the last episode so if you expect fast paced thriller mystery you are at the wrong place. It's more about characters and healing.

Story
I started watching this because of Kimura Takuya and because I love stories that involve memories.
Technically we are a bunch of memories, if we lose them, who are we?
Do you stay the same person or do you change? This drama touched on these topics and I liked different opinions characters had. The adults wanted to forget the past while the kid wanted to remember every moment.
And Yukio was scared, he was scared of his past and who he was.
He lived three years as Yukio, if the memories come back what will happen to Yukio? Will he disappear?

Things I liked
- Episodic format. Every episode had a different story, different thing he had to deliver while the memory plot was sprinkled in between till the end.
- Yukio's past.
- No romance, just friendship.
- The relationship between Naomi and Yukio, she took him in and protected him.
- The way Yukio unintentionally helped people while delivering stuff.
- Yukio being done with half of the characters. *The eye roll*
- Badass women Naomi, Sakuhara and Shika.
- Yukio's hair, I had to mention it because it feels like his hair is also a main character.
- The catchy song in the opening of every episode.

Overall, it's worth watching and I would recommend it to people who like character driven stories. It's original and sometimes weird but I liked it.

When even the time couldn't separate them

I started watching this randomly because I was bored and it turned out to be so good I completed it in three days.
The intro music made me happy.

Story
The story was interesting, I liked how he went back and forth between past and future. He is a really smart dude, he was always one step ahead of everyone. Yes, it's because he saw what will happen but he used that info in a smart way.
I thought he would be a cool cold guy but he turned out to be a funny nice guy.

Thing's I liked
- The romance, it was natural and cute and I couldn't get enough of it.
- Hee Jin teaching Boong Do how everything has something to do with kissing and him just accepting that.
- Their kisses and that one scene with spaghetti.
- Boong Do's smile.
- Cool fight scenes.
- Pretty much any scene with the two of them.

Thing's I didn't like
- Hee Jin's friend that's also her manager, she was annoying. She was a bad friend and a bad manager. I couldn't stand her.
- Dong Min, Hee Jin's ex, also super annoying. He is immature and an awful person. I couldn't stand him.
- Assassin's that were alive for way too long.

Overall, I had fun watching this and I would recommend it to anyone.

Sharks never stop moving or so I heard

An inspiring movie about never giving up, not even in the darkest moments.

Story
It's simple even if it sounds cliche.
The story is fast, something is happening every moment and it's like that from the beginning to the end, you could say there is no time to breathe.
Unfair things happen, you feel sad for the characters but since they never give up, you cheer for them and feel happy when they succeed.
Woo Sol reminds me of anime characters who always get up after getting beaten to pulp. It makes you think how many lives does this dude have.
The story is simple, he goes to prison, people want to beat him up, he trains, fights, wins, fights again, wins again, fights again, wins and that's how it goes to the end of the movie.
It's pretty straightforward.
I liked the story and characters but I always felt something is missing and I don't know what that is.
Maybe the movie should have been longer, maybe the characters should have been explored more. I don't know.
The villain was awful and I hated him, he played the victim when it was benefiting for him even though he destroyed other people's lives. He had no remorse.
I don't know if he ever regretted his actions.
He literally got stabbed in the eye. If that didn't open his eyes, I don't what will.
Do Hyun was a cool character, a mentor and a friend Woo Sol needed. He didn't appear much but his influence was big.
If there is a second movie, I will definitely watch it because I want to know what happens with the characters.

The quote that sums up the whole movie.
"You know sharks?
They don't have swim bladders so if they stop swimming, they sink and die. That's why they keep moving. You are the same."

Dream or reality???

Let's be honest, this is probably not a 9 drama (at this point I rate dramas on vibes). The production value is low and the acting is bad but there's something that pulled me to binge watch this drama. It's entertaining.

The story is a bit predictable but it works. Who is the killer? We find out in the last episode.

In this drama everyone is trash and when I say everyone, I mean EVERYONE. When you think they can't go lower, they can. The bar is below hell.

We have trio fantastico, the villains. Win's father, Feye's father and Suea's father. All three of them suck. I do like how it's shown they have things they care about and want to protect, they are also not evil just for the sake of being evil, they went through some messed up stuff. There are layers to them. I also like how the drama didn't use that to excuse their shitty actions. They choose to be shitty.

The mystery. There's not a lot to say about it. The whole story involves an Island with a bunch of shitty people and a group of young traumatized people trying to uncover the truth with the power of friendship.

Main characters rated by their coolness:
1. Aya - Can't differentiate dreams from reality, constantly tired and confused but never gives up.
2. Mo - First impression was jealous girlfriend but second impression was a badass. She is smart and she takes no shit from anyone. I like how she didn't let Win be in her way, she wanted to find out the truth and she found out the truth.
3. Not a main character but still a cool character, police officer Tle - He is cool headed and he helped Aya whenever she was in trouble. I kinda shipped them but I don't mind that there was no romance.
4. Suea - He is a guy that easily believes anyone. He wanted to be on Aya's side but he also wanted to believe in his father so things were complicated for him. I like that he was honest even when he was doing the wrong things.
5. Feye - First impression bitchy, second impression brave. She is a strong woman.
6. Win - I didn't like this dude at the beginning. Why? I don't have a good reason, I just didn't like him. He always seemed shady and like he will betray his friends at any moment.
7. Yok - I thought she is naive but she is not. I thought she would be easiest to blackmail but I forgot people can be selfish and do things for themselves.

The ending is satisfying but then the plot twist hits. I don't think there will be a second season but it's fine. The plot twist doesn't ruin the drama, it just proves everyone is indeed shitty.

Would I recommend it? Yes. It's a mess but it's an entertaining mess.

This love needs CPR

FL sucks and it's okay if a character sucks but she should get some character development. I'm not saying she didn't get character development, she did, but it was sudden and it didn't make sense.
She only cared about herself and she repented at the end, when everything escalated.

She also approached ML with ulterior motives but then she fell in love with him and forgot about that. Honestly, I'm glad she did because if she asked ML to sue the guy after they were together (in love and happy), I don't think a truck of character development could make anyone like her.

The romance was cute but rushed, one moment ML is thinking of his dead wife and crying and the next he is kissing the FL.

Then they break up at some point and after that, the movie became more stupid but also more entertaining. One example, a bunch of concrete fell on ML but he is completely fine after that and running around. A bunch of concrete never fell on me but I think that's unrealistic.

Also, what was the point of FL being sick. It did nothing except make her faint at very convenient times.

Despite the garbage plot, the leads kissing and being cute together made me smile. The side characters are also nice, no one was annoying.

Overall, it's an okay movie. There's some humor and cute romance at times.

No one is going to save you except yourself

The story is okay, the plot is convoluted at some places but the characters are 10/10. I love Sanyoung and Professor Yeom.

The police officer felt like a side character with too much screen time till episode 9, after that I could see his purpose. The trio was formed and the drama was a lot more fun.

Things I liked
- The whole vibe.
- The use of folklore and old stories.
- When they had one subplot story that lasts one or two episodes. (The village, the hungry ghost)
- The scene where Professor Yeom takes Sanyoungs hand and gets saved.
- The scene where the evil ghost goes after the detective and then after the professor.
- The scene where evil ghost hugs Sanyoung and begs to stay.
- The scene where Sanyoung saves herself at the end.
- The mystery about the evil ghost that's unveiling slowly till the end.
- The ending.

Things I thought could be better
- Sanyoungs mother was beyond annoying.
- How did the evil ghost get to Sanyoungs father. They never show that. We can assume it's because he touched the head piece (The same way Sanyoung got the evil ghost).
- Them looking for five things that could seal the evil ghost dragged.
- The older detective dying in the second part of the drama, I feel like it should have happened earlier or plot twist, what if the younger detective died? That would turn everything upside down.
- The younger detective just being there for half of the drama not believing in ghosts.
- Why do Professor Yeom and Sanyoung see ghosts? Is it because they were possessed?
- What happened to the ghost of Sanyoungs father that she saw in the village?
- I didn't like the whole plot where the younger detective has a crush on Sanyoung.

I feel like there's something missing in the story but I don't know what.

I have to say this, I love Professor Yeom and I could watch a whole drama of him going around and teaching about folklore and ghosts.

Overall, I liked it, I had fun watching it, it has a nice message, mystery, good characters and interesting vibes. I would recommend it.

I will kiss (stare at) you till you drop

I had a hard time rating this drama because I binge watched first 10 episodes and they were cute. Nothing too complicated but still entertaining.

Sarawat is cute with his flirting and jokes. Tine is a dumbass but he is a funny dumbass.

Then ep 11 happened and somehow it started going downhill and their lack of chemistry was more visible.

I understand that people show love in different ways but they were too awkward for two people in love. They seemed like very good friends and that's it, nothing more. They had more chemistry when they were chasing each other than when they were in a relationship.

When they moved in together, I stared at the screen and felt nothing.

Then we got the Pam plot because a girl in a bl must be evil. She disappeared as fast as she appeared so I don't see why adding her was necessary.

For the sake of drama? Well, the drama wasn't entertaining.

And the worst of all, they break up in the last episode, get together and give us a half baked happy ending. It's happy but I stopped caring.

We also have characters disappearing for a long time, to the point I forget they are in the story. One example - Green, they started fake dating because of him but he suddenly disappears in the middle of the story.

I hated the plot with Mil and Phukong, it feels like Phukong is a replacement for Tine. Also, why would you like your brothers enemy that's chasing his boyfriend. Have some self respect. I liked when Phukong took revenge for Sarawat but that didn't last long since he continued to chase Mil later.

Overall, it started cute with a lot of potential but ended leaving a bland taste in my mouth. I can't even say this drama is bad, it's just meh.

White umbrella

This is a cute movie. You watch it and time flies by.

Things I liked:
- No annoying second female lead, she knew when to walk off.
- DJ and Writers chemistry.
- You can see DJ likes her from the beginning and it's cute.
- I like how he tried to understand her, he read her articles and her book.
- You can see she tries to be tough but she is a softie.
- Her running home to listen to his radio show.
- Two of them dissing each other.
- Her article about lost love and white umbrella, so beautiful.
- The song he dedicated to her.
- Their smiles at the end, I melted.

Things I didn't like:
- Her current boyfriend, he is never supportive and she pretty much just tolerates him.
- Her first love, he took advantage of her while she was vulnerable. I liked how she asked him why they broke up and he didn't know why.
- The glasses girl and guy. I didn't like anything about that plot. If they erased it and gave that time to main leads this movie would be better.
- I want more of the story, I wanted to see their life after they got together. At least one date or her moving in with him. Literally just one scene would be enough.

Overall, a weird cute movie.

How did the murder happen?

That's the question every episode.

This drama is fun to watch, the episodes and cases are not connected so there is no big story or a villain to defeat at the end. It's two students solving murder mysteries.
I like those kind of stories where the main characters are not detectives (in this drama Kindaichi is a grandson of a detective but he is a student so technically he has nothing to do with solving murder cases) yet wherever they go, murder is there.
They go on vacation, murder happens.
They go on a treasure hunt, murder happens.
They go somewhere with school, murder happens.
They are in school, murder happens.

I understand that it's the plot but it's funny to see how will murder find them.

A few patterns between episodes I noticed:
- Every episode, it's revenge. Someone killed a person they cared about and now they are back for revenge with an overly complicated plan.
- Not even one murderer or a bad person went to jail because they all die at the end. I might be wrong but I don't remember even one villain that survived.
- At least three people die in an episode.
- Kindaichi and Miyuki can't have one normal vacation.

This drama is dark and messed up.

The fact they went crazy with blood and special effects didn't help but I applaud them for that, the gore makes the drama better.

Some things are disgusting (not murder but some parts of the story) but I still enjoyed the drama because the point of the episodes is to find out how the murder happened and who is the murderer.

Overall, I recommend it to people who like weird murder mysteries.

The Pirates and The Bandits

I watched first fifteen minutes of this movie a while ago and it's not that I didn't like it, I just wasn't in the mood for it so I dropped it.
Fast forward few weeks later, I'm bored, in pain because my stomach hurts and I need something to distract me and I remember this movie.
It definitely distracted me and made me feel better.
It's a fun movie.

The story
It's ridiculously fun. The whale eats the royal seal and now everyone chases it. It's a mess, they are going left and right but it's never boring.
The villains are evil, the good guys are not completely good (but they are more good than evil).

The female lead (Captain) has her own story and a villain to fight which I appreciated a lot. No one needed to save her because she was capable of saving herself.
The male lead (Chief) is funny most of the time but really badass when he fights. That scene where he runs through burning ships was hot (literally and figuratively).

And the best part, their chemistry. They are awesome together.

The villains weren't really that interesting, basic reasons, basic ending for them but that's okay.

The pirate crew and the bandits are funny when they are together just as their leaders.

This movie is not really something that will make you think deeply but it's entertaining. It made me laugh more than once.

I recommend it to people who like comedy and weird movies.
