Reading the novel is shattering the perfect image of my man Chen Yi. Hence im postponing till i complete the drama. Its not that he’s bad, its just that i have built a perfect idealistic image of Chen Yi. Like too perfect its stupid. Its fine to do that with fictional characters tho😬
Novel spoilers(ch 1): Should i say novel is like a reality slap to me. Pointing out all that i ignored. Yes chen Yi aint a saint waiting for that one girl. But who asked for the details. Unused condom? Girls hair on his bed? The first thing he said to her when they met: Didnt you say you would come over tonight to sleep? He thought it was Tu Li in his house.
The problem with reading the novel and watching the drama at the same time is, its gonna mix up in my head. I wouldn’t remember which happened in which. I just started the first chapter of the novel and i dont like how they described chen Yi. Or atleast this is how Miao Jing sees him

But drama Chen Yi. Whatever happened or happens, we all know how hard working that boy was. For a better life. When he couldn’t have that, he did it for her. It’s sad that novel Miao Jing doesn’t know that.

Facing the same problems. I did this with hidden love . Read the novel as soon as i saw them making a drama about it. Novel was so good. Overall light hearted, thats why i could watch the drama. But im scared this is too heavy and i can only do it once. Drama or novel.
Chen yi worship: If Miao Jing didnt have Chen Yi then she may have thought her mom did care about her. But Chen Yi showed what true love is. Chen yi was there for her birthday. He was there in that ship to save her. Accompanied her after that when he could have just left. Evn when her mother stole everything from him, he was there to protect her. Fought the people who bullied her. This boy is struggling himself yet cant see her suffer in any way. He is actually more like her parent than her actual mother.
One may think he is cold and shut off character who doesnt talk much. But his interactions with Miao Jing shows his personality. Cold ml who? Chen Yi is endlessly giving when it comes to her.
Idk about Chen Yi from novel but this guy in the drama is way too perfect. So much that i cant accept a single slander against him. He is perfect wish he was mine kinda perfect

Someone explain me the timelines. So Fl was in Grade 7 when she moved to Teng city She was 16 in Grade 10 . And its 2022 at that time What is the present time. She even said she lived in that house for 10 years. When it comes to a good drama i care abt every single detail.
For all my bravery im still not strong. My boy had dreams. He’s working so hard from such a young age. From one job to another. This wouldn’t be so sad if he was just a trouble maker who didnt have many dreams and is just living. He had hopes and dreams of future. Knowing its all going to go down in some way or another breaks my heart already.
Song wei long. When hes in the right role he breaks my heart. He plays this traumatised boy so well it breaks my heart. Go ahead was sad enough to see him ho through so much mentally. I feel this drama here is much more. Hope he will be fine by the end. All the pain and sorrow i hope they can be forgetten by him.
10 mins into the drama and you know its going to be damn good. Whatever happens its going to be a solid drama with good character and story backing. And its totally my genre. Kinda plot i want to read the novel but this time i choose to go with the drama first since it seems as good
