Ikr! I got so sick of romance stuff, like they always include romance in everything. Even thrillers and crime…
Oh, you mentioned The Journey Across The Night on your profile, Sweet Home and Strangers from Hell. All these dramas are among my top 30 dramas ever. Glad to know we have a very similar taste. Hopefully they make more dramas with the same genre. Novoland was pretty good too. If you ever feel like it, we can always have discussions to share our opinions and criticism on dramas we watch. By the way Kishibe Rohan Wa Ugokanai is a good drama, especially if you're a huge Jojo fan like me (It's my favorite anime). I saw it on your plan to watch list, give it a shot.

Thanks a lot, I really like adventure genre but since I watched all Lost Tomb related stuff, I didn't know what to watch more so I appreciate your suggestions. I will make sure to check everything you mentioned.
Bright's look is legit making my overies go boombaya. Hahah. Win is charming too. And damn, how I relate ......wishing…
Hopefully someone thinks about making a BL adaptation. That will be legendary. Also yes the stylists of F4 nailed their job. Everyone looks stunning. I never thought Bright could become way more handsome than he already was with a simple change of hairstyle lol

Got it, I will check your profile and I love the Lost Tomb series but I agree some parts were boring and draggy. My favorite part is Ultimate Note (Obviously from my profile picture lmao). Sandsea / Tomb of the Sea, Lost Tomb Reboot were pretty good as well. The second part was boring as hell. The Mystic Nine and first season were good but not as good as the others. The movie was decent. I even watched the Donghua / anime of Lost Tomb and it wasn't bad. Do you know others dramas with adventure theme like Lost Tomb?

Oh, I added that one to my list. The two lead actors are really good actors. You should also check Lovely Writer when you get a chance. I watched more than 50 BL dramas, many movie / animes and read tons of Mangas lmao so I got good experience in that field. If you want recommendations tell me. I kinda wish there would be more historical fantasy dramas that are 90% focused on action, plot and characters bond / build up than romance like Joy of Life, Ever Night, The Untamed, Kingdom, Word of Honor, Arthdal Chronicles, The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty, Thunderbolt Fantasy, Ancient Detective, L.O.R.D, Fighter of the Destiny, The Taoism Grandmaster. Can you suggest dramas of the sort? By the way do you like The Lost Tomb dramas?
I watched the first episode and god damn I didn't expect it to be way better than the original Japanese version which I really loved. Considering that most main characters are acted by brand new actors, they all are doing amazing job and I loved how serious and realistic the plot feels compared to other adaptations. No moment felt cringe or over the top. Also the guys look hot as heck, especially Bright. I love his haircut and fashion style in this drama. Win also looks cute with that glasses. I love the FL too. I kinda wished that this Thai version would be a BL version inspired by the original F4 story lmao would be great if they did that but well I still love it.
Okay so I enjoyed the humor in this version and Siu Muk is such a pretty dude, I really love his face. I also loved all characters even the females and the straight romance scenes were good surprisingly. KK's wife is stunning! But I still had many issues like the fact that I felt zero chemistry between Tin and Muk. Like they had a good chemistry as best friends or bromance vibe not romantic chemistry. Even when they kissed, I couldn't feel any love. Just two dudes randomly kissing. I watched the Japanese version before like two years but for some reason the boss / KK here kinda scares me at times. I didn't remembers his character to be that creepy in Japanese drama. Although I laughed a lot but I guess some parts should have been deleted so that the drama would be much better. Muk's reason for breaking up was stupid as heck honestly. Also I hated the outfits and hairstyle of Ping's sister (Feel as if she borrowed her grandma's clothes, KK's wife who is older was 1000 times more stylish than her). Tin's hairstyle was also a bit irritating, he is actually a handsome guy but the hair makes him look odd at times. To be honest the only couple I really liked were Francesca and Louis.

I love all BL from all Asian countries but yeah I get what you mean. For years r*ape and sexual abuse were a thing in BL stuff (Especially Thai BL dramas) and what irritates me more is how they make it seem so dreamy and romantic. There are also stereotypes, very lame and rude humor here and there but from the last year things started to change. Now many BL dramas with really great and mature plots, amazing cinematography, high budget, decent humor, healthy relationships and almost perfect couples are being aired. They even started to address the whole stereotypes / tropes, sexual harassments and issues previous dramas had in the recent dramas and are making fun of them as well. Great examples for that are : Lovely Writer, Bad Buddy, A Tale of Thousand Stars, Cherry Magic, Kieta Hatsukoi, Manner of Death, Grey rainbow, I Told Sunset About You, The Effect, Call It What You Want, Light On Me. Yeah some of these dramas might still focus on the fluff and lovey dovey side than darker side while other are way darker and gloomy but they all do it in a healthy and actually romantic way instead of making the couples force themselves to love each other. They also give great care to the consent part which many dramas didn't care for before. The Effect drama I mentioned before was revolved around r*pe and how it can destroy someone's life and mental health, they showed it in a really dark and serious way to make everyone understand that including rape and sexual assault in dramas is a real problem. (To be fair the actual r*pe scene was short and non detailed to not traumatize the watchers which I appreciated). Lovely Writer made fun of how many BL dramas plots were overly sexual and focused on assault too much. Along with Call It What You Want, the two dramas showed how both authors and actors get forced to do lots of things they don't like by their companies.

Exactly! I even gave Ever Night first season a 10 rating, like even special effects were great but couldn't bring myself to watch more than 6 episodes of the second season and gave up. The FL is so boring and meek, it made me bored as heck! The fact that the ML literally raised her made the whole thing even more gross. Also Arthur Chen was way more suitable for the ML character than the other actor. Even Arthur's body was more fitting, I know that might sound rude but sometimes actors looks don't 100% fit with their characters personality and description. Arthur was perfect for the role, it's sad he couldn't act in second season. Tbh lately if you want something not too focused on romance and have cool friendships you should check BL Chinese dramas (Which are bromance, not actual BL lmao they take BL novel plots and turn them into friendship / brotherhood) Personally I'm a big BL fan but I also love bromance BL inspired Chinese dramas cause they focus on the action and relationship between the two male leads. Even if there is a romance, it wouldn't be the main focus.
Ikr! I got so sick of romance stuff, like they always include romance in everything. Even thrillers and crime…
Indeed! I watch historical drama for the sake of the fantasy concept and cool powers / clans. Lately they were really focused on romance and the real issue is that all the couples from these romance focused dramas are the freaking same! Cool, expressionless, classy, robot like ML who always appear flying out of nowhere then lands on ground like a piece of log to rescue his girl and cute, gentle, frail, brainless FL who only exist to make the ML seem cooler and in some cases a strong, rude, violent, stuck up FL and funny, sly, mischievous, masochist ML who for some reason handle the rudeness of FL. They are all the same and the plots are the same as well. There is no uniqueness and everything feels cringe. You know the drama Ever Night? The first season which was focused on world build up, powers of characters (Especially ML), fights and all that stuff was amazing then in second season they had to ruin it by making that season heavily focused on romance between the two main characters. Like even when they make great dramas with strong plots they all of a sudden make a U turn, throw all that out of the window and switch to romance. There are literally 100000000000 romance dramas out there so what we need nowadays is something different. Idk why people are so obsessed with romance. They can focus on family, sibling, friendship, mentor-student...etc type of relationships instead and it will still be as interesting and emotional. Much better than watching a forced romance between two actors who don't even have chemistry and awkward frozen kisses and hugs.
This is such a breath of fresh air from the mass produced romcom bullshit that’s just been churning out nonstop. Is…
Ikr! I got so sick of romance stuff, like they always include romance in everything. Even thrillers and crime stuff nowadays which ruins the whole vibe of the dramas.
This is one of the worst BL dramas I ever watched. I literally had to skip most of the straight couples / side characters scenes. The girls were toxic as heck (maybe accept Waii's girlfriend, she wasn't bad compared to the other girls. Also I was quite glad that they had a lesbian character and then they had to ruin it by making her fall for a dude! What kind of bullshit is that?! If gay people can turn straight that easily then most of them would do it ages ago to avoid getting harassed by cruel society. She was also overly violent and rude. The fact that this is supposed to be BL yet there were more than one straight couple and they got more screen time than the gay couple also bothered me greatly, like Waii and Apo had about 30 minutes of screen time of the whole drama. Most watchers came for BL yet we all got tortured with hetero crap! Some straight couples in BL dramas are interesting but the couples here were literally awful. Even Waii and Apo weren't super interesting but still better than others. Compared to the chemistry Earth had with the actor from A Tale of Thousand Stars, the chemistry between Earth and New was weak. Both are great actors but the script was too shitty for them to show their full potential. Another thing that baffled me was the fact that there was a violent attempted rape / sexual assault scene on ep 4. Waii almost raped Apo while being angry and yet next morning the two of them acted normal as if nothing happened. Apo was terrifyingly forgiving about it, like what kind of fucked up shit is that? How can anyone, no matter how kind they are be that forgiving and chill in such a situation?! People commit suicide cause of rape and sexual harassment and here they make it as non important as two kids hitting each other with pillows and we are supposed to find it romantic?! I don't understand what's wrong with the person who wrote the plot and how the people producing these stuff allow this crap to happen. It gives a hideous image to LGBTQ+ community.
Same, Male lead is dull and dumb as heck and to make it worse he is doing that shit job. The "smart" girl is a…
Sorry for the late reply, I was offline and I watched all the episodes actually and I regret it greatly. I guess I was hoping for the plot to get better and I wanted to know how will all that bullshit ends. My opinion is don't watch this drama unless you want to get a high blood pressure issue. The characters keep getting worse every episode and the ending which was the actual reason I finished the drama is garbage. I hated this drama so much I wish I could beat up all of the main characters along with the person who wrote the plot.
I tried..I really did. For one it was really dragged! It felt liked I waited for ages just to see witte perform.…
I actually watched this drama on Youtube but only the parts revolving around Witte and Bailong since I couldn't care less about the romance and other characters so I didn't get bored at all but I do agree with what you said about them making the plot overly dramatic and sad.
I got to admit that Nagisa is kind of a shitty person. All the crap he put his wife and Shun into isn't excusable. Fooling his wife, giving birth to a child for the sake of satisfying his parents is just too much and on top of it when his relationship with his wife went downhill and he gets tired from fucking random guys he all of a sudden remembers that Shun still exists and decided to take his daughter and the two of them became a burden on Shun out of nowhere. Nagisa didn't even seem ashamed of forcing himself on Shun like that and then he even made Shun also take care of his daughter for him while he went to Tokyo to fight with his wife over the whole custody thing. He literally abandoned Shun and then after years he comes back with a 6 years old child and act like everything is normal. Also Sora has no fault in him being gay and all that stuff so why she should be living in a non happy family environment all cause her father is a selfish liar?! The part where that girl confessed her feelings to Shun was pointless along with the wife's mother appearance. I did like how the town people were so accepting and the fact that the movie showed that males can be in position of childcare and women can be the ones working and providing for their families. Not all women must become a housewife and not all men are supposed to do nothing but work and earn money, they can change roles if that's works best for them. Also to raise a child happily it doesn't matter what your gender is, as long as you raise the child with love and good morals then that's all what matters. Many families got the typical husband wife setting yet the children can be miserable as hell and many gay / LGBTQ+ people can raise the kids way better than a straight couple. Being too focused on gender is meaningless and stupid.
