The messy plot doesn't seem like it. I was able to follow up on everything through the investigation. I know that…
When I said messy I meant that they were trying too hard to push many genres together and it wasn't working well so it ended up being too messy. Not that the plot is hard to understand, even a kid can understand this plot but I wish they would fix the humor a bit. It's too jarring for my taste. The characters behave in an overly stupid than funny way. Especially since the main story is supposed to be more on the dark side. It's like trying to swallow a huge amount of both salt and sugar at the same time. Yeah having some funny moments can make a dark plot more bearable to watch but overdoing it will ruin everything. I didn't mention anything about BL plots on my main comment but well yeah, that's true. Many BL plots are shit honestly. But the recent BL dramas are actually pretty great with well written characters, Non toxic couples, amazing acting and pretty good plots. I can recommend if you want. I can't stand naggy characters but I still don't like the FL in Vincenzo. Yeah she does support and in a way trust ML but her personality is still not my cup of tea.
Was is awfully bad? I was planning to watch this but the reviews and ratings are making me reconsider it.
Yeah, then I'm not watching lmao bad acting is a huge no no for me. I can watch a kinda shitty plot with great acting but not bad acting even if the plot is good. Thanks for the help!
Indeed! I do like it when female characters are strong / can fight and protect themselves and others like the…
Honestly, I have also hated tons of male leads characters (Mostly in rom coms) cause they tend to make the second male lead the actual decent human being who tries his best to make the girl feels precious and supports her. They are the ones who are worthy of given a chance 99% of the time and still the female lead will still choose the jerk male lead with mental issues, traumas and crap who enjoys treating her either as an object that he owns or lash out at her whenever he feels like it and expect her to forgive him cause he is hot and traumatized due to his shitty family or whatever. Then of course her love will heal all his issues (Instead of freaking therapy! I mean yeah being loved and supported is a great help but not everything). What truly irks me is that even when male leads are shit, their characters are still way more complicated and interesting than female characters who are bland as heck (Cause it's always the males who we are supposed to focus on and sympathize with according to these plots writers I guess?). The girls are either a literal doormat who get treated like shit by male lead and other characters yet just stand there with a confused or sad expression and does nothing to stand up for herself. If someone is harassing her, the male lead is expected to appear out of nowhere to rescue her and declare that she is his girl before grabbing her wrist then dragging her away. She gets abused by male lead yet still fall for him and pick him in the end instead of second male lead who is the actual gentleman. (To be fair some male leads are still better than second male leads who might be a bit too obsessed with female leads or just realize their feelings for her after she shows interest in male lead). At times all male leads are creepy and I just wish the girl would just leave them all and focus on improving her life, not wasting it on toxic boyfriends. The girl can be more on the innocent, kind side and all but not overly naïve, obedient and a push over. Other type of female characters that is supposed to be the opposite of doormat type, is the badass, strong female leads. I do for sure prefer this type but they ruin it most of the time by making the female lead the bitch who abuses the male lead both physically and with insults and the male lead is the character who can't do anything but obey her and handle her violence and terrifying mood swings. Yet in this case it's supposed to be funny. If it's the male lead beating the crap out of female lead every time they meet, he should get arrested but the girl can beat the shit out of him and people hype it up, saying it's cool and amusing. If the characters (Be it male or female lead) are supposed to be bad / villains then I won't complain when they got shit personalities and attitude since they are supposed to be bad (Like the serial killers you mentioned). I won't like them but I will get why they are that bad (Since they exist to serve the purpose of evil character). If a serial killer murderer someone it makes sense, cause he is a murderer duh! But they always hire super hot actors for these roles so that watchers will still handle their awful behavior and gain more views. No one will fall for an unattractive criminal or be in their side obviously even if they were a victim who turned evil cause of revenge. It's all thanks to the actors pretty faces that make watchers go crazy over them. When the characters are supposed to be good, yet behave in a way that doesn't match that description, that's what bothers me. The female lead here is supposed to be obsessed with justice, loyalty...etc (It shows from how she cares for her fellow officers and how she insists to catch the bad guys) but she herself act violent and hit / disrespect the male lead who in this case isn't an actual criminal nor one of the villains. That doesn't sit right with me at all. Yeah, all females need to know how to fight and defend themselves, not use their strength to vent out their anger on everyone around them cause they are too moody for their own good during that moment. Also I wish they could also show feminine, elegant or cute female characters as cool too. Most of the time, in action stuff they are tomboyish. Being tomboy is good and all but you can dress like a super model yet stand up for yourself and your loved ones when needed. Making the tomboy / nerd / simple style lover the good girl and the hottie girl the dumb, evil, shallow bitch who love to make everyone miserable is an awful trope. I hope this make sense. Females have 1000 different styles and personalities so I really wish they would show that in dramas instead of the same old annoying tropes and giving the male characters the most interesting life stories and badass moments while make the girls just exist to be the love interest (With zero personality), fan service machine or the person who helps showing how manly and cool the male leads are whenever they rescue them. They are already doing that to the female cop in this drama. They made her violent and rude in beginning then now they are turning her into the damsel in distress and love interest who must wait for male leads to save her and clear her name before probably falling for male lead whom she disrespected and abused earlier. In that case he of course should appreciate it and love her back...Like why can't they be good partners who are equally strong, smart and cool. One of them must have serious anger or violence issues.
Romance? Oh no, don't tell me that involves that lady cop, the one I can't stand?
Actually this drama has many good and well known actors and they are all doing great job. Overall lots of Asian actors / actresses are very talented and gorgeous but it's the messy, draggy plots that might turn you off most of the time. Bad and Crazy drama has a good plot (Not super unique but still enjoyable) and I love how it's fast paced with no unnecessary fillers and crap but I wish they fixed the female lead's personality a bit.
Romance? Oh no, don't tell me that involves that lady cop, the one I can't stand?
The actress is stunning and her acting is good but the character isn't well written. They made her the typical overly violent, bossy, crude cop character. She abuses the male lead (By hitting and threatening him for no good reason), insults him and overall she just gets on my nerves too. She is supposed to be cool and badass but they ruined it. Yeah she can fight and she even helps the male lead every now and then but still making her hit and disrespect him for humor sake is just awful.
I highly doubt it since there is no romance tag. If they wanted to focus on romance they would add it.
Well as long as they don't ruin the drama with cringe and unnecessary romance then I'm cool. The male leads could care for FL and all but they shouldn't make it the focus of the drama in next episodes.
The FL is a terribly written character. She's so physically aggressive. Imagine if the gender was reversed. What…
Indeed! I do like it when female characters are strong / can fight and protect themselves and others like the female lead here but what I hate is when they make them treat males in bad way for no good reason just for humor sake. Like when the female lead gets mad and hit / kick / slap / smack the male lead while scolding him even though he didn't even touch her in first place (In this drama in first episode the female cop attacks the male lead as soon as he reach their police station in front of everyone which isn't only humiliating but also rude and disrespectful as heck. They were just talking so there was no need to hit him like that no matter how angry she was, it's not like he was trying to molest her or something of the sort. There is no way a decent person would do that in real life, especially in police force. In other episode she also threatened to hit him with a bottle of drink to make him do what she wanted and she enjoys saying rude words to him). If it was the male lead who would drop kick / smack / slap the female lead all of a sudden while they are talking just cause he is mad then everyone would insult the male lead till death but when females do it it's viewed as cool, funny, refreshing and awesome and of course male lead can only handle the pain and not hit back. He can't even get mad and instead stay in love with her like a freaking masochist while she hits him every time she is in the mood for it. If that shit happened in real life to my brother, guy friend or any male relative and I saw a female physically assaulting them for no good reason I wouldn't enjoy it at all cause it's literal abuse! Being a female doesn't mean you can be abusive and cruel to males and get away with it just like how males shouldn't harm females. Violence and rudeness don't equal cool and badass. You can be badass, have strong personality and opinion without hitting and acting vulgar with everyone you see in front of you like a damn caveman. Also being tomboy with messy personality / style and manners doesn't necessarily makes you cool. You can be feminine, elegant. stylish or cute but cool as well. (In this case since she is a cop, it's not surprising for her to be a bit tomboyish which isn't bad or wrong but also not an instant ticket to become a baddie). It's rare to find a truly badass female characters who aren't selfish, violent, self centered, stuck up, bossy, spoiled and cruel bitches or the typical "I'm not like other girls" or "I'm one of the dudes" trope in dramas. Personally If I was a guy and a female hit me, I will hit back. I don't care, as long as I wasn't the one who hit first or did something worthy of being hit like sexual assault or something similar then I would fight back. It's not funny. Nowadays many females obsess with gender equality but as soon as a male try to actually be equal and strike a female back to defend himself, they will lose it, completely forgetting about the whole equality thing and call him a trash. I don't understand their logic.
Overall impressions I am enjoying it and mostly the comedy aspect of the show, The talented bad guy meets the…
Lmao glad to know that I'm not the only one who is secretly shipping them. It would be amazing if K is a real person indeed but I highly doubt it since he appears in front of others but they don't see him and only see Soo Yeol.
Simple romance like Bad buddy are the best and what we need, all the rest everyone could watch on netflix.or something…
Then you can check it out if you want. Like on YouTube people even say that it should be the blueprint of teen dramas or whatever so I guess I have no choice but to check it out lol
A coworker of mine married to a Korean woman. He was an English teacher and she is some sort of bio scientist…
Exactly! Glad to know they are happy and thank you! I really love Qiling's character and Xiao Yuliang was the best at playing the role in my opinion. Even his looks is perfect for the character. I'm also a big fan of The Lost Tomb series.
Well, I'm used to Japanese plots being slow, deep and whatever since at this point I finished more than 150 Japanese movies and 50 dramas so I have good experience when it comes to their way of telling stories, filming and all that but god damn this movie was boring as fuck! It totally didn't need to be more than two hours long. I get the plot is supposed to be meaningful and dark but after finishing 30 minutes, I literally stopped caring about what was going on. I only finished it cause I wanted to know the "big secret" of that Hiasa dude and worried that skipping straight to the end would make me unable to understand the ending well yet I still couldn't understand jack shit. I hated how they would waste minutes on random scenery like flowers, waterfalls...etc when the plot was already slow and boring to death. Also Konno gave me depression, he was such a dull, gloomy ass character like damn! Yeah gloomy characters can be interesting at times but in his case, he was unbearable. Hiasa wasn't as interesting and cool as I expected him to be. He was kinda creepy in the beginning of the movie and became dull as well afterwards. To cut it short, I didn't 100% hate the movie but it was one of worst in my list. The festival scene at the end was great though, I loved it. They should delete the BL tag by the way since there was no BL in this movie to begin with, like where is the BL???

I don't only watch BL stuff, especially when it comes to anime, I watch all genres even straight romance, ecchi, harem and hentai sometimes if they got a decent plot. My top anime genres are actually fantasy, music, historical, horror, adventure, comedy, yaoi and sports. I do dig slice of life as well. For dramas and movies I prefer BL, historical, thriller, psychology, comedy and crime. I did hear of a Swedish (I guess it's Swedish?) BL drama called Young Royals and everyone praises it so I guess I might check it out.
