Simple romance like Bad buddy are the best and what we need, all the rest everyone could watch on netflix.or something…
I guess I will check it out but probably wouldn't really get hooked, the thing is, American shows have a certain vibe, way of telling stories and stereotypes that I can't enjoy at all. Idk how to describe it but even if the show is actually good with decent plot, I still can't bring myself to watch more than 10 episodes maximum and I will switch back to an Asian drama or an anime. I did highly enjoy some western animation though like Totally Spies, Martin Mystery, galactic football, Monster High, Ever After High, Grove High, Slugterra, Winx Club, W.I.T.C.H, Gumball, The Simpsons...etc They made some really good animation. But I still prefer watching anime though lol
Ikr! I got so sick of romance stuff, like they always include romance in everything. Even thrillers and crime…
You can recommend as much as you want. Watching stuff is my favorite hobby and basically one of the few things I can do for fun in my shit country. It also helps distract my mind from non cheerful thoughts. I will check everything you recommend.

That's the point. Most people watch dramas, anime and play games cause all these things allow us to discover new worlds, see something different and in games case be whatever we want since we can control how our characters look like and what they do. In fiction world everything is possible and colorful unlike depressing and boring reality. That's why odd plots are addictive.

Yeah I admit most Korean and Chinese romance dramas tend to be draggy, repetitive, boring and cringe as hell. That's why I try my best to avoid them lately. I never bothered with American shows that much, I have zero interest in them. Only American shows I watched few episodes of were Supernatural, Friends, How I Met Your Mother and How To Get Away With Murder and that's it. At least Thai dramas aren't that long and they create BL stuff all the time which I appreciate. They are also not worried about making steamy scenes which gives mature vibe even in non that mature plots.
Well this is a bit dark (For some people it's awfully dark but for me it's not really that dark. Basically the only kinda startling scene was the overly cruel and violent one that happened after 50 minutes. I never seen something like that before. People who already watched the movie will know which one I mean. Apart from that, everything else was meh). I kinda wish it explored the prostitution / host world more along with the reasons which lead people to do these kind of jobs and the whole psychological and physical trauma they might have to deal with afterwards. I think I expected the plot to be more deep and meaningful than just a bunch of dudes fucking every 3 minutes. Sex scenes were repetitive and not really that amazing nor believable honestly. Also the ML was so bland and boring I barely cared about him. Even the teacher was more interesting. Like I still don't get what made the ML become a host and whatever happened afterwards. The romance wasn't that believable as well. Overall the plot, characters and sex scenes were weak as heck.

Got it, I will check them out and yeah I do know that many famous Japanese actors got well known thanks to the Kamen Rider franchise. They are obviously very popular in Japan since there are about 20+ movies out there lol Fun fact I didn't watch NiF yet, I watched 2 episodes and almost fell sleep during it so I ended up turning my attention to other dramas. I keep thinking about watching another 2 or 3 episodes but I always find new dramas that catch my interest too much I end forgetting about it again. About Re:Follow, not all the time the plot need to be flawless. I did watch many dramas / animes with messy, silly or hard to understand plots but for some reason I was addicted and I highly enjoyed them.

I do consider Bad Buddy as one of the best Thai / BL dramas out there actually but personally I'm more into dark plots and genres like Psychology, thriller, horror, crime. I already watched more than 30 Thai dramas which focus mostly on humor and fluff so having a change makes me pleased. Besides since I already graduated from college, I kind off got sick of the typical high school / college focused cute romance stories. I like adult revolved plots the most now cause as an adult I can relate to them more.
I only and purposefully search for cringy romance drama to make my life seem better when I sort of feel down and…
I understand, same here. Sometimes when I'm really depressed I also prefer to watch something humorous and a bit silly to lift my mood but I overall enjoy serious / dark plots way more.
I'm glad that mature, dark and serious plots are becoming a thing in Thailand. Manner of Death, The Stranded, KinnPorsche, Not Me, Long Khong, The Effect and now this drama. I prefer these types of plots way more than the typical cringe, comedic ones.
Just watch it on YouTube for free, the first episode is already out with subs (Just divided into multiple videos). Here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKoQVR3OT_w if it's airing in my shit country then it should in yours too.

I have a list for dramas and a list for movies which include all stuff I watched (the ones which I already rated) and ones I'm planning to watch (ones without my rating or haven't aired / finished airing yet). You can check them out if you want. I didn't watch the Rise of Phoenixes and Ashite Tatte Himitsu Wa Aru ones yet. I did hear of the Japanese one but didn't think about watching it and didn't hear about the phoenixes one. Kamen Rider is supposed to be like Power Rangers, right? I did enjoy watching Power Rangers every now and then back when I was a kid but I don't think I can watch similar stuff now lmao I might also check the Re: Follower one.

Oh, you mentioned The Journey Across The Night on your profile, Sweet Home and Strangers from Hell. All these dramas are among my top 30 dramas ever. Glad to know we have a very similar taste. Hopefully they make more dramas with the same genre. Novoland was pretty good too. If you ever feel like it, we can always have discussions to share our opinions and criticism on dramas we watch. By the way Kishibe Rohan Wa Ugokanai is a good drama, especially if you're a huge Jojo fan like me (It's my favorite anime). I saw it on your plan to watch list, give it a shot.

Thanks a lot, I really like adventure genre but since I watched all Lost Tomb related stuff, I didn't know what to watch more so I appreciate your suggestions. I will make sure to check everything you mentioned.
Bright's look is legit making my overies go boombaya. Hahah. Win is charming too. And damn, how I relate ......wishing…
Hopefully someone thinks about making a BL adaptation. That will be legendary. Also yes the stylists of F4 nailed their job. Everyone looks stunning. I never thought Bright could become way more handsome than he already was with a simple change of hairstyle lol

Got it, I will check your profile and I love the Lost Tomb series but I agree some parts were boring and draggy. My favorite part is Ultimate Note (Obviously from my profile picture lmao). Sandsea / Tomb of the Sea, Lost Tomb Reboot were pretty good as well. The second part was boring as hell. The Mystic Nine and first season were good but not as good as the others. The movie was decent. I even watched the Donghua / anime of Lost Tomb and it wasn't bad. Do you know others dramas with adventure theme like Lost Tomb?

Oh, I added that one to my list. The two lead actors are really good actors. You should also check Lovely Writer when you get a chance. I watched more than 50 BL dramas, many movie / animes and read tons of Mangas lmao so I got good experience in that field. If you want recommendations tell me. I kinda wish there would be more historical fantasy dramas that are 90% focused on action, plot and characters bond / build up than romance like Joy of Life, Ever Night, The Untamed, Kingdom, Word of Honor, Arthdal Chronicles, The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty, Thunderbolt Fantasy, Ancient Detective, L.O.R.D, Fighter of the Destiny, The Taoism Grandmaster. Can you suggest dramas of the sort? By the way do you like The Lost Tomb dramas?
I watched the first episode and god damn I didn't expect it to be way better than the original Japanese version which I really loved. Considering that most main characters are acted by brand new actors, they all are doing amazing job and I loved how serious and realistic the plot feels compared to other adaptations. No moment felt cringe or over the top. Also the guys look hot as heck, especially Bright. I love his haircut and fashion style in this drama. Win also looks cute with that glasses. I love the FL too. I kinda wished that this Thai version would be a BL version inspired by the original F4 story lmao would be great if they did that but well I still love it.
