I came here expecting episode discussion but it's mostly wall of hate instead.PSYes, they used AI. No need to…
I just scrolled through the comments and mostly saw positive ones, between the AI comments which I agree are annoying. There's also a little bit of episode discussion, and I'm sure people would be willing to engage with you if you started some. Just watched episode 13, and I'm loving the show! It's funny enough and the leads are doing such a great job that I don't care about the AI at all. We're not supposed to like that character anyway, and I'm focusing on what I do love, like how Tan Jianci and Wang Churan are killing it in their roles.
Dropping this drama at ep 12. The conversation between the two male leads after the 2FL told one off for stalking…
I don't think LYF knows the extent of his stalking and also thinks his friend is a good person, so doesn't realize he should be warning him off. I don't like the stalking either, but the show finally had her bluntly reject him in a very satisfying way in ep 13. I'm hoping he backs off and matures.
yea I agree I pushed through but in fast forwarding a lot of scenes. you cant say a single negative thing on this…
Why on earth are you commenting if you don't want people to engage with you? And Tan Jianci only has one expression is objectively not true. You either didn't pay attention if you actually think that or you're just trying to ragebait.
This drama is dry af …. 3 years and this is what we get
I think it's hilarious! But yeah, give it at least until episode 4. That's true of most cdramas IMO, they often have a rough start and then hit their stride.
Is it not good or what? Why are the rating so low?
I love this drama! The first couple episodes are a little rough, but it's really cute and fun, and the leads are doing a great job. Others have explained the review bombing, but yeah, you can't go by MDL reviews for whether a drama's good or not, especially one that hasn't finished airing.
I have to be honest, Jun was cute only at the beginning, but now he's just a dumb, clueless stalker. And his parents,…
I said it another comment, but I was really glad the show finally had the girl outright reject him. He deserved it, and I'm hoping he learns and grows from there. Yes, his parents are absolutely awful, probably a big reason he's so immature.
Who in the world wrote jun cheng he is like a 2yo stalker with absolutely no personality whatsoever and his mom…
Don't know how far you are, but I was so relieved when she finally outright rejected him. I'm hoping he'll grow and mature from there. And yes, his mom is awful. But the leads are great!
Hahaha i agree with u. I am also the same height as WCR and that is tall in asia where im from. Guys have told…
Yeah, I'm around the exact same height as TJC, so a tiny bit taller than WCR. Basically the average height for men in the US, where I am, and definitely tall for a woman here. I think you're right that it's shorter women insisting on taller men, since if they were tall they'd realize how limiting that is! And silly: height has nothing to do with relationship compatibility.
People who praise actors for being tall when they have the acting skills of a wooden post make no sense to me. And it really bothers me when they dismiss TJC over his height (when he's not even that short!) and ignore his obvious talent. Zhou Shen and Yang Di are also great examples.
C-entertainment definitely encourages height fixation, among its other unhealthy beauty standards. This is why I'm happy with LHF for choosing two actors so close in height. I can't think of another cdrama I've seen where the man wasn't obviously taller than the girl. Even in TJC's other shows, the actresses were all clearly shorter than him. As a tall woman, it doesn't feel great to constantly see messaging that women should be short and men tall. It's a bold choice for LHF and I'm here for it.
This is an unpopular opinion in cdramaland, but I may find people who agree with me here. I'm actually glad that they cast a taller actress with Tan Jianci for Love Has Fireworks. I dislike the message that the man always has to be taller than the woman, and I love seeing counter-examples to that. It's perfectly fine for a couple to be the same height or even (shocker!) for the man to be shorter. I'm tall myself, and if I adhered to the standard that the man always has to be taller, that would limit my options so much.
Plus, my type leans toward short-to-average guys, tall guys tend to not be that attractive to me. I hate this stereotype because it discouraged shorter guys from approaching me, when actually I had no problem with their height. I once had a guy tell me, "I'd never date you, you're too tall for me" - and that guy was almost my height! I hadn't even realized he was a tiny bit shorter until he said that. In fact, my husband is about the same height as me now. He's such a good man, we're exactly right for each other, and I'm so glad I didn't miss out on our marriage for a silly reason like "the man has to be taller."
Anyway, I needed to rant about this here because I saw a comment on the LHF page disliking that TJC and WCR are the same height, and it rubbed me the wrong way. And we all know how much hate TJC gets and how much he's had to struggle for being average height. The man is one of the most talented human beings on the planet and there are people wanting to hold him back because ... he's not tall. Height shouldn't matter at all compared to actual talent and yet it's what people focus on. It's just so stupid and frustrating.
