Yeah, how does he even have any weight to lose?? I thought the green hair would be fine on its own, but with all the other green going on, clothes, lighting, smoke, etc, it’s a bit much. It might’ve been better to pick green hair OR green clothes. Then again, it goes to show how handsome he is that it doesn’t make him look too sickly. I’d look like a corpse 🤣

I've noticed Mr. He on Hi6 does this all the time to Tan Jianci. He's always taking his hand, putting an arm around him, patting his shoulder, etc. After TJC revealed on the recent Our Dormitories that he used to have fear/anxiety of variety shows and that Mr. He helped him get over it, I wonder if this is something he got in the habit of doing as a soothing technique because he knew TJC was anxious? Or maybe you're right, he comes across as a teddy bear and everyone wants to snuggle him hahaha I wouldn't blame them!

Finally had time to catch up and watch this! This is one of the funniest episodes I've seen in a while. I totally agree, he has excellent rapport with Li Landi. I'd love to see them paired up in a show again

I’m WAY behind here, but just watched it and feel the same way! I wanted to leap through the screen and hug him during his talk with Mr. He. Especially with the knowledge we have now that a criminal gang was attempting to blackmail him and trashing his reputation all these months! Acting in an emotionally and physically grueling cdrama day after day, while standing up to all that and facing the risk that they might succeed in destroying his career… no wonder if he feels drained.

Hopefully, with the drama filming done and the crackdown on the gang, he’s relaxing and feeling better. SO glad he got that award!

Seconding this, I used to follow a bunch of YouTubers that would sub his interviews and livestreams, but lately it seems they’ve all stopped posting and it’s become harder and harder to find subs of him even for his new content, let alone older stuff like this. Thank you so much, we really appreciate it!!

I didn’t know 80% of his fans were over 25 and university educated! I fall into that category myself lol. But it makes sense, I’ve had the impression his fans were more mature and generally chiller than many other fandoms, although lately they’ve been stirred up a lot

Thanks so much for this! It’s really impressive to see it all laid out. What drew me to him as a fan, aside from his incredible talent, was his perseverance and grit, climbing his way up as an underdog through so many setbacks. And the more I learn about him as a person, the more I like him

But knowing now what he’s been through since the beginning of this year, I admire even more his fortitude and tenacity. The mental toughness it takes to film a grueling cdrama every day while experiencing heath problems AND being held up by a criminal cyber gang - it’s unbelievable. In an industry where reputation is everything, it took so much courage to stand up to that gang and take the risk of letting them trash his reputation for months to bring them to justice.

Me too, I'm pretty emotionally sensitive to sad stories. I want to watch it for him, and definitely want it to succeed, but if they really go with a sad ending, I don't know if I can handle it.

Thanks for this explanation! I was also confused why fans were blaming the studio - after all, he's the boss of it. But the fact that his manager should have been handling the situation makes the whole thing make a lot more sense. Why did the pinned post come across so badly - was it the content of what it said or just that it felt like too weak of a response?
