Idk about weibo or other chinese platform but XTH on twitter r behaving very stupid! They r sabotaging the drama…
This is making me thankful I'm mostly off social media and out of the loop. I usually just look at fan accounts on YouTube for updates and I haven't seen any of this kind of behavior there. But I don't get why his fans would attack his studio? Isn't he the boss of his own studio so he has final say what it does or doesn't do?

I've managed people's social media in the past and do some PR-related work in my current job as well. Things like social media posts or public statements are usually not written by the people whose names are attached, especially if they're some kind of leader. Depending on how busy they are, they might not even review the posts themselves but appoint someone to do that. I'd be surprised if Tan Jianci writes his own posts. Maybe sometimes, but he doesn't have time to do that regularly.

It could just be a precaution referring to starting rumors in general, not any specific ones. With all rumor-spreading that's been going around, I wouldn't be surprised if some crazy person even tried to blame LYX for this somehow!
OMG!! I just saw JC fell of the horse, thank God he is skilled rider so the fall wasn't bad n he didn't get hurtđ…
Oof. I've fallen off horses before and can tell you it HURTS. The ground is farther away than you think! I can't imagine falling off with all that armor on, poor guy. Thankfully the horse had slowed down and he was able to cling on enough to fall off the side. It obviously hurts a lot more if you fall from on top of the horse or if it's going fast.
In fact, I've experienced almost the same thing that happened to him here. It looks like the horse slowed suddenly, which threw him off-balance. He could have recovered from there, but then it started spinning. When you're on a horse spinning like that it's scary, disorienting and throws you off-center immediately. If you're already off-balance like he was, it's nearly impossible to save. He did a good job trying - better than I could have!
Also, when a horse starts spinning, I've been told to jump clear if possible because there's a chance the horse is about to roll or it could trample on you in its turning. So thankful this wasn't worse!
Go East, it was hilarious, very entertaining if you like sarcasm and society-parody. Everyone is flawed and grey…
Haha weâre opposites. I thought Filter was one of the funniest shows Iâve seen. The alpaca episode is iconic to me (the use of Vivaldi killed me!) and I liked the âdumbâ song so much Iâve tried to memorize it as part of my Chinese learning.
Go East, on the other hand, I found amusing but not all that funny. Like how you felt about Filter, I wouldâve dropped it if it werenât for him.
Itâs great that heâs so versatile and has all these different kinds of shows. Thereâs something for everybody!
After some weeks offline and only recently having seen *those* leaks, Iâm really rooting for the ending to follow…
But in this case a fully sad ending would be a forced change, because in the novel he does get rescued. Itâs bittersweet because he canât return to life as himself. His identity as âXie Queshan/Chaoâenâ is officially dead and he has to live as an ordinary man hidden in the spy network. For me, it bothers me when dramas change the ending from how it is in the book. If itâs sad in the book, fine. But if itâs bittersweet or HE in the novel, donât make it sad in the show.
UTS is good, definitely recommend! And Iâm someone who doesnât typically like crime/police dramas, theyâre…
Go East is a fun show overall! The flaw for me was the FL, but like I said, not everyone felt the same way about her. Other than her, I thought it was a decent show.

Yeah, I see your point about Filter. I thought she went too far as well. But my view is that he was able to forgive her because on self-reflection, he realized he was too intense in his pursuit of her alter egos so she felt she had no choice but to take drastic measures. Plus in the beginning she thought he was a shallow jerk, so her actions wouldnât affect him that much. I think maybe the show could have spelled out the apology/forgiveness a bit better, but overall thought the show did a pretty good job giving them both character flaws.
So funny! Impressed how long he keeps it up before getting confused. Iâd be lost immediately đ Also a great clip for learning Chinese number hand signs!
I'm waiting for a good time to watch UTS, what do you guys think about it? any other ones I should watch?
UTS is good, definitely recommend! And Iâm someone who doesnât typically like crime/police dramas, theyâre mostly boring and predictable to me. But UTS was a fresh take on the genre with interesting characters.
My fave drama of his is Filter, which I found absolutely hilarious with a good heart behind the humor. Tan Jianci is great at comedy. But heâs great in all his shows, theyâre all worth checking out. I think my least fave is Go East because I couldnât stand the FLâs character but some people didnât have a problem with her, so YMMV.
And if you havenât seen him as Xiang Liu, definitely check him out in Lost You Forever. Itâs a hard show for me to recommend, though, bc I LOVED the Xiang Liu character but ultimately disliked the rest of the show. Itâs worth watching at least S1 to get to know XL. Outside of him, depends on your tolerance for frustrating angst đ
I want it to come out too. I've watched every show where he's the ML, some more than once. I've started trying…
Thatâs an interesting idea! My interpretation of the scene was the same as yours. From what I know of the novel, thatâs correct: XL was her true love, but her fears held her back. But the way the show changed things, I can definitely see the interpretation that she didnât really love any of them.

I havenât read the novel, but Iâve heard itâs much clearer that XL was her true love and she ended up settling for TSJ because she was too afraid to choose XL. She was waiting for XL to choose her but he couldnât bc a) his obligations to his army (donât get me started on that stupid army pointlessly throwing their and his lives away grrr) and b) he was never sure about her feelings for him and feared he was just a replacement for TSJ.
The show apparently changed a lot to make XL look worse and TSJ look better because they donât want FLâs loving anyone other than the one they end up with, even though thatâs the whole point of the original story - she loses her true love and ends up with the safe choice, itâs SUPPOSED to be a tragedy!
Anyway, the changes backfired for me bc they just made me feel like TSJ was stealing XLâs thunder and made me dislike him more đ
Is there a day when the reuters r not heartbreaking?? đ I m tired of being sad!đ N one day they gave lollipop…
That was her imagination, though, when she still thought he was nothing more than a traitor. He threatens people to keep his cover, but works behind the scenes to save them. As for the Qi victory, that was already certain bc the court wouldnât send reinforcements. His âbetrayalâ wasnât the cause of their deaths, they were already going to die either way. Even ZYH ultimately doesnât blame him for the deaths of his family. He does have a bad reputation at the start, but heâs been up in the enemy territory the whole time before the story begins, so no one really knows what he actually did. If they keep it vague enough, I donât see why they couldnât choose to save him. If they end it with him dying falsely accused, thatâs not justice and posthumously clearing his name doesnât give it any less of a bitter taste. I donât think I could watch that.

I like LMLMV too! It's a purely feel-good show, very relaxing when you need it. His voice is phenomenal in it, I listen to the OST all the time. And the proposal is my fave proposal scene of all time: so low-key and yet so sweet and romantic!

I love Filter, it's my favorite modern cdrama! The humor was exactly right for me. I've watched it twice and even made my husband watch it with me the second time. He doesn't watch cdramas but he was interested because he liked him in Sound of Silence - we were lucky enough to see that when it came to theaters in the US.
For most of his shows, I tend to rewatch his scenes. LYF wasn't my cup of tea either and I couldn't finish it, but I did watch all Xiang Liu's scenes. And then I couldn't stop watching clips on YouTube....
When I first saw him as XL, I remember I had to pause a scene and look up who he was because his acting impressed me so much. Funnily enough, my husband had the exact same reaction. He paused a scene in Filter to say, "How is this guy so good? Seriously, how??"

I really liked LMLMV, but it does need the right viewing mindset. It's a sweet, fluffy, warm-blanket of a show. It doesn't require super close attention, so it's a great choice to have on to help you get through a boring task.
The production team has filmed both possible endings: a happy ending and a tragic ending. They've prepared both…
I'm definitely hoping for the HE. An unjust execution is simply too bleak, especially with that cruel of a method. I want it to follow the novel, and I think ZYH's arc would be incomplete without it.
Oh my, I was not prepared for that intense eye contact and eyebrow flick!
