Honestly, from the first 6 ep, they definitely chose a super realistic subject to showcase in this drama. I also think big toppers are always targeted.

Watching LZX made me think of my own class. Our main topper is actually kinda like her. She never acts smug or intentionally makes us feel worse than her. She even takes Zoom sessions for us before finals and teaches us the course material herself, which is literally the only reason most of our class passes.

Yet the moment she asks a question to the teacher or anything, everyone gives her massive reactions. None of us are actually close to her. crazy how i just thought about her watching this.

tbh with you, ive dropped this drama after 7 ep but zlh has been my top 1 c actor so i just come around here n check how its going.
From my pov i think they made ZLH a bit too one dimensional. His only goal here is to do anything just to be loved by the fl(atleast in my pov). He has no goal nor anything other than that.
No fans wants to see their top fav be such a loser lover character with no character development. im happy in some way if this drama fails as this might stop him from getting this types of script. This was also so heavily promoted with zlh in those manhua types of dress so people had high ecpectation of him might be a successful someone but sigh..

i started watching kdrama in 2020. My first ever series was MIIGB and she was the sfl there. My second series was Its ok to not be ok and there was also a sfl there. After watching my first 2 ever shows i thought myself that both of the second fl was very natural beauty (imo even prettier than those 2 fl) and they will rise high. The sfl of IOTNBO did.
Today i finished a drama called sold out on you and suddenly found her again and came here to rant from pure nostalgia. but sadly, she's now just a mere side character. idk what went wrong for her.

well i just finished it and it wasn't that bad. the story goes exactly how you expect a romcom to go. the side characters and even the sml sfl were likeable. so far a good light watch.

I see a lot of people complaining here about male character being dumb-down. Well thats how things should be isnt it? Predominantly female viewers watches these shows more so the directors have to keep feeding their main targeted audiences.

If you want things to go differently just go and watch some anime/donghua, even play some video games; i promise you definitely will find women playing the second fiddle and being se*ualised, why? Because male viewers watches/plays those significantly more. It’s just the directors selling strategy.

idk man ive waited a lot for this show but dont know why it kinda not devouring me the way it was supposed to be. The reuters leaks and plot plus the cast promised a lot more before it even aired and i guess from the high expectations pov it turned out to be a bit disappointing.

tbh i get where the high amount of complain for cinematography coming from.
Especially as both of ZLHs latest work; Our Generation and POJ has exquisite cinematography, compared to those two this ones looks like a child play honestly.
