This is the sweetest little short I have seen in a long time.
The story has a nice flow and you are pulling for the characters as you watch!
And banging your head on a wall for them too!
Uhg, I will watch this again for sure.

NEVER WATCH THE AMERICAN ONE. JUST DON'T.
(it will actually have no effect, because the american one is terrible, but it will give the story away)

It's a story about a young boy who enters a boys dorm. They sleep in a big room together, eat together and bath together. But there is a swimming pool on the school grounds that they will never fill.
That is where the ghost story comes in.
To be honest I recommended this to someone who cant watch scary movies at all and they really liked it.
The story is good, but just have a box of tissues with you, okay?

I'm a very big fan of HYD so when I saw that the second series was coming out in a show I was quite excited. Currently the Manga series is still being written (I have not read it), so I figured things wouldn't feel fully finished in the ending. (Especially because it's only 11 eps),
It's got a very similar feel, there's an "F4", a "strong willed poor girl" and a "dumb rich guy". Even the whole boy from the band in the drama and a token sad Utada Hikaru song.
But this drama is just that. It's a similar feel, but you wouldn't even really have to have watched HYD to watch this show.
In the long run, if you feel like watching it as a fan I'd go for it (maybe).
The flow of the show feels weird, I can't tell if it's the writing fully, or if it's writing and bad direction for the actors to follow.
I didn't even really cry except for the cameos. Sweet moments touching on the legacy this show was -trying- to follow.

In the game there are many tasks for you to complete. Each task gets you more and more money, and the gentlemen calling is watching where ever you go on security cameras; so he knows if you have completed his task. Each task also gets more graphic as you go along.
I love this movie. Great story, great take.
There is an American re-make of this called '13 Sins', Ron Perlman stars in it.
I highly suggest watching the Thai Original first as the story line is much more uncomfortable and the tasks are a lot more daunting.

Some background, the director of the first movie passed away before this movie started to film. So his son took over and was the director of this one.
Also the lead role actor Tatsuya Fujiwara was fresh off is Death Note kick, so I guess he felt like he didnt really need to try and actually act anymore because he'd made enough money.
If you want to watch this for the glory for the Battle Royal name, go right ahead. But the acting, and the change in direction might throw you off.

It's going to have lots of blood and some disturbing parts.
Over all its a Great Samurai movie from a Different perspective (maybe even more realistic than some genera movies are). You will feel uncomfortable, you will cry, you will feel the passion and the emotions of the men.
Miike is a king of Directing. Just watch it.

But the story is good, and you do feel for the Ex near the end.
