The humans destroyed the spirit clan, and took them captive. Princess Shuo Ye was the only one who escaped. She enters the human palace as a slave to try and rescue her brother and clansmen, and gets chosen by the empress dowager to be the king's concubine. This happens in ep 1.

First 3 ep were nice enough, but they were indeed jumping a bit all over the place with the pacing.

Ohhhh I see. Condor heroes was one of my first cdramas, the one with Hu Ge, Liu Shishi and Yuan Hong. I don't remember much 😂 Only that I liked the second cp more, even if Yang Kang ain't that nice of a person.

Overall a really good drama, only complaint is that the ending felt a bit anticlimactic, and well the criminal too.
