I’m not saying by popularity numbers but have you watch Smile Code? It’s fun in case you want to watch a modern Cdrama.
So far is fast pace and in most episode there’s cute scenes and also has a dark concept, but funny scenes too.
In lakorn I can recommend My Cherie Amour.

I agree, for me it was like I love the first episodes the ones in the pearl farm, a bit when they travel on boat but once they stayed in town and she did the selling of jewels and she solved problems that part it felt repetitive because she did the same thing for a few episodes I’m like advance go somewhere else I want new adventures, then they date and is so cute and I’m loving it, the problem arises and even I was at my edge of the seat but now there’s so many side characters and side plots I’m getting a bit bored and not as exciting about the release of the next episode.
I love Lusi and Yuning and is not their fault but the writing.

Sad is I saw both sides doing shady stuff I saw people here making fake profiles and only had Esther drama to rate it low. And I don’t even watch Esther only watch two of hers and because I watched for seconds couples. So no it’s not me defending Esther. I’m saying both sides have toxic fans.
I love Lusi but I been attack here just because I’m not delulu and said some episodes felt slow paced to me.I watch all Lu Si dramas except one the one with Leo. You can check out my profile and see I have her as one of my favorites and how many dramas of her I watched.

I’m also watching that one (pearl girl) even tho I will put it on hold, I don’t like the route they are taking on some parts on the plot, too many side characters and stories.

This drama makes giggle and smile like a teenager (that I am not Hahha) they are so cute!
I was awaiting for two cdramas and it was this and another one that also just started, loving this and the other one I’m probably going to drop it and start watching again when they pair the leads again, the whole dating and separating for misunderstandings is getting old and fast. Dislike the plot route that one took.
One surprised me (My Cherie amour) that one will go into my top Asian drama list.
If smile code keeps a good rhythm and good plot development maybe I will also add it.

I will give my own unbiased opinion (even if I like both leads) started great amazing plot at the beginning, and then for a few episodes it felt kind of repetitive, than great again and now I feeling like dropping it and coming back later. I was so excited than slowly I’m losing interest. Maybe because there’s so many things going on, we have so many stories developing:
ML is likeable but kind of had to do this flip of attitude ( I don’t want to spoil it)

Man I dislike when they get together than for whatever reason they separate! I would of prefer not getting together, separate and having a reunion later.
The episodes of them not together as a couple are and will be my least favorite. Specially how they villainies him.

You didn't clarify who were you talking about, Yes LYN was later pick but he wasn't the first choice. Many others were considered Chen Zheyuan, Lin Yi, Wang Ziqi, Chen FeiYu, Chen Xingxu besides LYN. LYN did production a favor. Also read the comment below by MoFan-IC .

But what makes you have the right info then? Sorry with all the respect but are you the actor's friend? Production or director to know what really went on. And if you are an older fan of Cdramas you know production, take consideration of what Cnetizens ask for, not international fans like me and you. But the Chinese fans are priority to them. They also said it took them 6 months after announcing LuSi as FL to pick a ML. I also read Yuning did production a favor by joining. He is pretty busy you know just this month 6 dramas had his ost. I have nothing against Yuning I said I was glad he joined.
