She couldn't change ZZ story, so the best for him is to get as far as she can. His mother died (again-in 2nd life) and that's the same how ZZ started to hate himself in 1st life. I don't want to spoil much, but Ning decided to leave him so he could've better future ( because in 1st life, his future was at stake after he lost his mom)

Few more episode and you will see how important she is for him and what he would give up for her. Drama was done well ( we just needed few more episodes). They worked on this drama and made it for 60 episodes, but bc of Chinese new restriction that max. show can have 40 episodes, they reduced it. SOKP would be perfect if they gave us more of the story from 1st life and more time to see how Ning fall in love with WX in 2nd life.
