S1, didn't he go back to his home town near the end and there was nothing but destruction there (Dad missing?). It's been so many years, I can't remember this cliffhanger everyone keeps mentioning. What were people expecting to see that made them disappointed.

The YT trailer looked a little choppy but interesting enough to check out S2.

This is a really good series in my opinion. I usually watch pure historical series; however, I started watching this to see if I'd like it and I'm on ep 10 already.

That episode was about as brutal as it gets. CuiLin made her move of marriage knowing that the brothers would fight for the throne but I have to wonder if even she thought it would get this brutal. The Z-army paid a heavy price.

Apparently, when they were were young fake CuiLin almost died a couple of time protecting the real CL; thus, I think her father had good thoughts about him before he went crazy. Fake CuiLin also almost died right before he disappeared and had to take that weird medicine from the tribe to survive. It seemed to kick his obsession that was building into overdrive but they didn't state that explicity.

Don't let the low raters get to you. 39 low review ratings vs. 1,410 users who rated the series is not representative of how most people feel about the series. It's rated 8.5 for a reason - it's a very good series overall.

RRY would be considered the best in my opinion. Although they appear to be equally matched while fighting, many in the series have stated that FL is more cut throat; therefore, she'd be the one to pull off the most brutal fighting in the end if he hesitated due to his milder personality if you're looking at the final outcome.

She had a great role in Sound of the Desert. I'm so glad to see her in this series. The 2 leads pair well.

I'm with you - love action oriented historicals and this one did not disappoint. Looks to have a good plot as well.
