If there’s one thing a Thai drama with actors from the BL-verse is going to do, it’s have their character sing and play an acoustic guitar… and I’m going to skip right past it.😅
I love this drama, but not for the leads. Both feel very dry and one note. It’s giving white paint drying. I know FL is overworked and depressed, but I’ve seen it portrayed better. I love the acting of the younger version characters. This is the first time I’ve enjoyed flashback scenes. Ultimately, the supporting characters and the plot itself really stand out.
I have concerns for Lek! His little heart is going to be broken. He set himself up for it, though. At the end of the day, FL was his elder brother’s girl, and she’s not going to like that he deceived her. You can’t start a relationship with deception, even if your heart was in the right place.
Why did the background music turn ominous and Dech look suspecting when he told “Gaew” maybe he doesn’t know him well enough just because he was excited to shop and he wants to get to know him better?😅 We have two episodes remaining. I think we covered it ad naseum that Gaew is different now, and you wrote him a whole love poem last week while stroking his hair.😩 It’s time to get to know Gaew from a romantic interest, not suspicion.
Maririn reminds me so much of Oto from season one.😔 Both of them are sweet girls with deep trauma and very open about it. They’re naive and seek love and acceptance, but get overlooked. I really feel like Maririn would’ve been better served seeking therapy and healing first rather than coming on this reality show to find love. After some deep work, she probably won’t even be drawn to yankee types anymore and meet someone healthy and mature. Still, I feel like out of all the girls, she and Assun are the most genuine.
Ari knows hardly anything about true hip-hop and is trapped in 1999. He’s a caricature of the culture. Trying to make “wassup” a thing again but this time as an adjective is crazy. I cringe every time. He doesn’t deserve my girl Maririn!
I’m fascinated by the divorced host bar owner. His teeth are SO WHITE and his face is so perfectly crafted that he looks like a webtoon character come to life. He really sticks out among the men. He’s so “pretty” that his tattoos look pretend.😅 He seems kind of shy, which surprised me. I wanted to know more about why he got divorced in six months. He and Ari are on the rebound it seems.
Awich is such a great co-host! She’s very perceptive and thoughtful. Honestly, she and Megumi would be great as a duo! I can do without the comedian. His brand of comedy hasn’t aged well.
Alex is definitely not gay. I don’t know where Boy got that info from, unless this is reverse BL and Alex is gay but falls for a woman.😅 He certainly is attracted to Daran, and he’s very warm and tender towards her.
I have a bad case of second and third lead syndrome. I adore Sam’s silly self and sweet Alex. Rangsiman was okay during his youth, but he’s boring now. I know he’ll win in the end, but I’m enjoying watching Sam and Alex shoot their shots.
Nana/Nooch/Natasha is insufferable like that witch mother. Rangsiman is basically engaged to his mother’s clone. I’m glad his grandmother checked his mother, because she’s been out of pocket for too long!
Sam and Lin are hilarious! I’m only 7 minutes in and I’m hooked. This is so fun! I already know I’m rooting for Sam. He’s so cute. Daran being able to fight decisively half-asleep is a feat!
As a Boss fan, it’s fun seeing him in a role like this. I hope to see him in more mainstream dramas.
Din and Hom are insufferable. We had enough plot without them.😩 They drag the story down, so I fast forward through their scenes. They remind me of the annoying secondary pair in “To the Moon and Back.” Totally unnecessary and uninteresting. Just drama no reason. I fast forwarded on them too.
The main couple and coworkers are the highlight of the series! I love them. I just wish the two spoiled brats weren’t written in.
Kheetika’s step-dad needs to rein in Hom. He’s a sweet man, but raised her in a soft way that made her behave like a demon. She’d possibly act differently if she could no longer work at the company, live at the house, or have unlimited access to his funds. She’s grown. She needs a strong dose of reality. He needs to drop that messy maid who acts as Hom’s pitbull too. How do you disrespect the lady of the house and her daughter and think you’re that girl making $6 an hour???😂
I guess OG Gaew is still in a coma.😩 He’s such a great character with deep layers. I want to see him running the modern Thai streets and Grandma’s warm kindness melting his cold heart.
Domestic Dech is such a hearthrob!🥰 Nursing Gaew back to health was the standout scene. The way he held Gaew tenderly while treating his wounds and Gaew holding on???😭 Apologizing for not arriving sooner?!! Then laying him down after feeding him and brushing his bangs out of his eyes??? If that wasn’t enough, he wrote a love poem and then laid Gaew’s head on his lap, stroking his hair??? *Parm Triwinij voice* P’DeeEEEeech!!! He’s officially in his Loverboy Era. I cannot! Jumpa weeps!
I can do without Sri’s romance and poetry hustle. He was best as the philosophical brother who popped in during family drama and supported the main couple. He’s not interesting on his own (to me). I also prefer Reung as a good friend and stern officer. I’m not trying to see him in a love triangle chasing after that strange boy obsessed with Dech. Falcon and Maria are cute! That’s the only side couple worthy of our time. Also, please retire Falcon’s color contact lens. It’s giving possessed.
I love the hospital staff vignettes! Rit looked so cute in that lion hat. I was not expecting what came next though.🤭
I said last week Great/Gaew had an alibi and that Dech and Falcon could testify as witnesses!🙌 I just wish they could’ve gotten there before the flogging. Poor thing’s back looks like he fell on a hot hibachi grill. #FreeGaew
I’d love him to be cast in more versatile roles. He’s so talented! But it’s been a Sung Hoon Famine, so I welcome this wonderful news and seeing him back on the small screen.💕
One of my all-time favorites that I love rewatching from time to time. It’s hilarious with a powerful message. Also, that song they make is a bop to this day.💕
What happened to Grandma’s treasure chest of riches she gave to Thin? Did the royal family have any personal assets or was all their wealth amassed from taxpayers? I’m thinking their funds got frozen thanks to Chat. Poor Thin is living the Huckleberry Finn life. His existence is looking more and more like a Great Depression musical.
As a realist, I must say the fiction loving part of me is rooting for this couple, buy the human part of me says, “Move on.” If I were Thin, the betrayal and forced poverty would be too much to set aside. Even though Phob was justified, he still deceived Thin and targeted his family and their legacy. He had a solid case for a regime change, but there’s always a cost and loss when you pursue it. It cost his relationships with his mother and partner and his inner peace.
Alternatively, if I were Phob, I’d be frustrated by Thin’s bias towards the monarchy and inability to understand that he and his family were living fat off the broken backs of the people and not only not fairly distributing wealth and resources but embezzling it (Chat). While Thin is also justified in how he feels, I couldn’t coddle someone crying over and blaming me for their family’s downfall when they failed the people.
I’m 99.9% sure they’ll reconcile and we’ll see them be lovey-dovey, and I’m hopeful for it! It’s just that I accept the nuances and conflicting interests that would require large concessions for a couple like this to work out that many people, understandably, couldn’t agree to. Thin and Phob are star-crossed lovers like the great Romeo and Juliet.
Democracy isn’t simply overthrowing a regime.😩 That’s a coup. This man is talking censorship and their little government hasn’t been active for 48 hours. Smh. It’s basically flipping from monarchy to authoritarianism if he has it his way. We’ve seen it too many times in history. There’s no such thing as “temporary” censorship. He won’t walk it back once the new government is established. That constitution’s ink hasn’t dried yet and they’re already reneging on freedom of speech. Is it democracy you want or do you just want to be the one in control this time? Same coin, different side!
my dear phob you did Well,.. im sorry i had hopes tinn IS smart like the all characters Said before.. 💔
Tinn is a product of his environment. It takes time to work through that cognitive dissonance. We just have to wait for him to get clarity. It’s amazing how he studied abroad in the UK right next door to “Boogie Down Revolution” France and never really learned about different forms of governance and social studies, but he grew up sheltered and was told all his life he’s special and his bloodline is precious and they’re good people. You tend to have blinders and ear muffs on.

Sam needs a spinoff! He’s a total mess.🤣
