Thank you ^^ Good one, as it did strike me that because my review had no cons, people might wonder why it's not a 10..Because of some personal view reasons which I didn't think would be right to put on review.. Which is 1 - I didn't feel that chemistry between the leads that everybody else was talking about. I still loved them as individual characters and am interested in their love story but I guess I deducted a .5 to indicate that it was not a super success for me in that angle. 2 - Oof, I had a hard time explaining this. Thing is, I would be hard pressed to find any major flaws.. but like the above point, there were scenes that built up to something but that I couldn't connect to as much as the drama might've wanted me to... But the production was soo good that I felt like it all made up for that.. but might be better if I didn't feel that gap in the first place.. as in the scene should've Felt as good as it Looked?
So there. Now there were certain episodes that I would for sure rate a 10 - mainly Ep 4. Where I felt everything came together. I'm gonna go see if I can do that, rate that episode alone. But I don't think all eps were like Ep 4...
I think I just fell into my laptop screen while reading this and had to climb back up again. It was SUCH a good read, so well-written and was the perfect guide on exactly how to appreciate him. Like, even though I love what little I know, usually when someone tells me I'm still missing out, I just get impatient but not this time - nope, I am now happy that there is so much more content I can get to know him from - yay!!!!!!

I remember how I never left this page for nearly a year after I watched this drama in 2019 and it's already the 4th anniversary for this drama tomorrow!
Great article! I personally think Shi Eun did understand Beom Seok (in that gif where he asks why he did that to Soo Ho). He's a topper and clever at reading people and situations. It's not without reason. Even before he became friends, I think he understood roughly what kind of person Beom Seok was. When Beom Seok first got him in trouble, he figured it was because he was the weak type. He neither blamed nor excused him for that. In Shi Eun's head, it was just who he was then. After he helped him once, they started hanging out together becoming friends, Shi Eun must've understood Beom Seok even more. That he has had severe problems (the bullying was clear, even if he wasn't aware of the father then) resulting in him developing certain traits, one of which Shi Eun knows is his idolizing of Soo Ho. From then on, switching over to hanging with the bullies, Shi Eun starts to see him spiraling into the red. Just because you know your friend now and understand him, both his innate positive qualities and his negative traits, doesn't mean you can always help him, especially if he doesn't want your help or understanding. But you have to try first though. So Shi Eun tries to. Doesn't work as Beom Seok is too far gone. He hopes at least that with his getting beaten up bad, he can get Soo Ho out of the picture, who would suffer worse. Good try but not enough. So after things hit rock bottom, when he seeks out Beom Seok, I think he asked why, to see if there's anything there that he had missed, any other specific reason for Beom Seok's actions, and the answer he gets, confirms that it was only that his friend had been too fragile as you say, to fight against his demons when things got tough. I only saw the drama only once though, probably need to refresh my memory, so this might sound like a stretch, but where else am I gonna discuss this if not here?
I haven't watched it yet lol. Blame the other posters, My Dearest, etc.
