this is one moment that we understand duan's mind in love but also negociation... very bold ambitious courageous wit and raw. it was the best thing he could've asked!!

what's really sad in 'betrayal' is that trusting that person again seems impossible and what was worse is when she told him he disgusts her. albeit in anger, but it really spiralled!! her reaction doesn't feel stretched because it's very easy for trauma to creep back in and to fall in old ways , like building walls again. from her POV she was way too shocked. they both literally fell sick from that.

ouf ! what a pull on our emotions! ep 11 started i was ready and on haran's side for sure, but then when i realized what he was worried and sad to explain as a drawing... i understand why it was so difficult too for him too😭
only 1 episode left 😭 there should have been more and not drag out the accident reveal too long. now its everything at once!

other characters kinda had their 'mini resolve' moments already...

😮 i thought the pace was just picking up! in those 38-40 episodes did the cdrama just skip at lot of things?

exactly ! the touch and sound were the tricky ones, because the sounds was about the music only? and touch is about the interpretation? hot and cold for example, or when she kicked someone tooo far ... they did give us examples for all, but she played music really well🤣

i love love love the POV elements for simu!! colours and the wind trails 😍
we also have access to her 'thoughts' compared to the ml...
her character is perfectly nailed🔥 albeit sometimes she is very aloof to the reality of 'mortals' although she often watches them.
my also other concern was her spying tendencies. i understand she is otherworldly but ouf, imagine if the roles were reversed!!!

in the last episode the way simu and duan were having these complicit gazes and then smiling while duan is at the edge of death was top notch! they set the tone for what to expect and their personalities make the whole scene feel different 🤣

yes!!! and i agree for the length ! they feel really short!

oh was finally caught up on the episodes! i love the almost whimsical vibe, the intro has this valse tempo that makes it dreamy! i rarely like the intro part but for this i always wanna watch it 😅
i almost wish they played a little more on the dreamy vibes but we can see it more and more! loving it so far! main leads are amazing in their roles and contrasting each other! it started a bit slow for me but we really got to discover the setting of this world!

dilraba is amazing in this role! it suits her perfectly! it took me a while to understand Arthur's character i think we have a lot more to discover according to the synopsis.

Random thoughts:
Is it me or I saw some parallels with Simu's character and how Luo Yun Xi plays his characters like till the end of the moon and whispers of fate? the first scenes where we see the dramatic world of spirits and simu's nonchalant gaze... and the whole 'getting the 5 senses' reminded me of the quest of feeling all emotions in whispers of fate!

he just couldn't do it... i don't think he would have told her. although the secret would make him feel more guilty and lonely.... ran is totally right to be angry

100%!! we see ZLH really good in POJ but there was a part of his character's personality left out... compared to Kunning palace where it was much more mature and intense... we are left waiting and expecting dramatic scenes with him.. but his role here is so much better than princess royal!!
the novelty factor of a butcher is so real! but it was really well done at least!
i didn't realize part of the underwhelming end was part of the novel...
main leads really delivered though with what they had...

good point! i didn't know what to pinpoint in blossom that bothered me, and then here we see it again. i hope the director can find a good team to also support him in making a memorable wrap/ending of his drama...
whats amazing about this director, story-wise is how we discover the world of the drama and the characters. the attention to details about their personnality in the best way possible! lots of trivial scenes that have a long lasting impression on us!

it wasn't necessarily more fights or more romance... i think we needed to discover the Marquis in fights.
and overall the main leads were getting less and less screentime overall...
but i agree with you! we cared for them and its a special skill not all cdramas get to achieve!!

SAME😭😭 every episode i was expecting that okay finally they will show us! What i understand is that the production had many opportunities to showcase battles and martial art beyond the few that we actually got.. and it's even more frustrating!

its so sad. i think as fans and as a viewer we can't be fooled. the talent of ZLH and TXW is so obvious!
I wonder how they deal with this kind of treatment within their own careers.

But!! it wasn't perfect! damn endings are not given in dramaland...
did they do our main lead wrong in the last 7 ish episodes?? it's as if their story was done by episode 34... when they actually arrive to the capital. that would have been a perfect ending thats gives way for a season 2!

I had the impression that the capital part was surreal and separate from them.
Then, secondary characters... have... so...much...screentime!
ESPECIALLY the villain.... As if they were setting the space for a spinoff.

The last episodes plot and editing of the scenes was underwhelming...
The thing is, they tried to do too much in the last arc. unfortunately i didn't get the dynamic and pace of the capital part.

REGARDLESS, we were already so happy with the main lead's evolution in the first 2/3rd of the show... it's still a MAJOR win for the cdrama scene! discovering the world of POJ was an amazing journey !
