looking back at 2026, i only find 1-POJ and 12- love for you the most impactful!but i didn't try road to splendor, 1970's and between the lines yet... all the rest i dropped somehow even if they start off strong like how dare you and first jasmine...even POJ i was close to give up bc of the second underwhelming half...
Also here are 3 i enjoyed but aren't mentioned: -veil of shadows ( great woven plot!) -love has fireworks ( modern drama but filmed a few yrs ago, it was both cringe & funny) -phenix heart ( i dare say i also dropped it by the end but it was enjoyable)

there's definitely more to the mother, from the pattern of the episodes, we may get to know the past of bozai/and mother. especially that we still don't know how the mixup happened. from a mother perspective maybe she cant let go of feeling like qinyi stole away the person she thought was her son. so its definitely resentment.

the episodes keep getting better and better! the plot is getting less predictable too and characters are getting more nuanced by now, but we are almost halfway and they give us too little in each episode😭
