But!! it wasn't perfect! damn endings are not given in dramaland...
did they do our main lead wrong in the last 7 ish episodes?? it's as if their story was done by episode 34... when they actually arrive to the capital. that would have been a perfect ending thats gives way for a season 2!

I had the impression that the capital part was surreal and separate from them.
Then, secondary characters... have... so...much...screentime!
ESPECIALLY the villain.... As if they were setting the space for a spinoff.

The last episodes plot and editing of the scenes was underwhelming...
The thing is, they tried to do too much in the last arc. unfortunately i didn't get the dynamic and pace of the capital part.

REGARDLESS, we were already so happy with the main lead's evolution in the first 2/3rd of the show... it's still a MAJOR win for the cdrama scene! discovering the world of POJ was an amazing journey !

yes, but this story plays on that. what could have been a story of deception and castration. the subtlety is that they were able to recognize their mistakes... and that's what makes the whole difference. where do you put those boundaries and or responsibilities in life and death situations. at the confrontation later on or at the battle when he tells her to go behind him... we see they both give each other full space and trust , despite the life and death risks.
the evil brothers are the one that portray the real pervasiveness of domination in this story and while FCY did a big mistake, it helped them understand the boundaries in their relationship

up to ep 35, I don't know if it's the political arc, a stalling in the action, or lack of main lead scenes...but i feel nothing is happening? what is actually going on? usually there's angst, tension... FCY is just exploring the capital aloof of what's coming?
part of me hopes this very slow episode in the last 10 episodes indicate a season 2 but most unlikely🥲
FCY 's entrance in the capital gotta be one of the most charming scenes for her😍 her general look is incredible!!

what i thought is that she tried to save him because he can't escape ( deserters are punished) and he told her he is forced to fight.
so her fighting in his place was the best solution out of unconditionnal love. albeit, she took away his choice to accept because she assumed he would not accept to endanger her.

they are both very headstrong and it could have gone in a very bad direction if they kept at it like that. instead their couple needed to give each other the space for their own freedom, risks and power.

the show really stood out in the early episodes, i think it's undeniable ! tells us a lot that the hype + good leads + direction + amazing first episodes = go a long way in the success of a show!

sometimes it's just being able to enjoy each episode in a nice flow!
besides cinematography i think the characters were so very well done. in shows where i end up disappointed, it's often the main leads characterization or an annoying trope about them.
Even this show had the fake marriage trope but the actors delivered and the direction made it well because it progressed ( almost perfectly because at some point it was redundant )
i agree that the political part was all over here, but as long as our main leads are true to their characters and give us the nuances, its a win for this show !

but forgive me i had just started LLTG before POJ , i left it on 'to watch' for times when there's nothing good airing 😅😅

exactly, he was investigating since the beginning of the show's timeline, AND he also already suspected her identity for a long time, since the early days of them meeting, still fell for her!
so it makes sense to me that it doesn't come as a shock to him nor does it become a dealbreaker.. the best part of this change is that she is finally able to share that loaded secret that was way too heavy for her and was torturing her 🥹


but i haven't read the novel so i TOTALLY understand how it can create a huge shock for those who did, because it does seem like a major change!

i never thought i'd be able to resist the leak because i don't mind the bad subs but sooo grateful for the community here! sticking to the schedule out of love for this show !! so bittersweet to know its almost over

the stare in the air was so poetic 🤣 i think its one of his highlight moments! oh wait almost all his scenes are really well scripted for him!!
gotta appreciate that! and as much as it would have made sense for anyone to say it, it fitted him perfectly because that's where we see how obsessive love goes wrong. love and hate are flips of the same coin, running on the same brain wiring. So add that on an evil mad character, we get this 😅

he now really looks like an evil fool though!
and his brother portrays the narcissistic love to the perfection.

i just saw the director here is the same as for lost you forever! 😮😮😮 and that show was remarkable!
i couldn't connect to dilraba's sci fi work, i think she truly shines in costume! can't wait to see LBTG! it looks SOO PROMISING

Zhou Ye look so good in the 80's from the stills!! made me want to check out the show!! but from the comments it seems there are annoying tropes !!

oh dang😓 it's so sad to think one of the best works of these actors will be remembered negatively because of that...
the fanwars seem unavoidable but i think great shows will keep speaking for themselves...

you know there's a difference in commenting and just being a hater. calling this show 'garbage' is clearly a joke on you... At best, , you don't like it, which is totally fine, but you couldn't say anything critically useful... 😂
