What a wholesome, a breath of fresh air kinda movie. Kim Min Ju is a revelation though. Girl can act.
Totally agree, all the leads did a great job. Love that the plot wasnt about how to get ahead in life (rat race), but just young people trying to help and support each other
A feel-good attempt, yes but the romance ain't it for me. A guy falls for a girl at first sight, stalks her, and…
Plot line is a little dated since its based on the original Taiwanese movie which was released in 2009. But I still think the plot is heartfelt and wholesome to this day. The sisterās relationship was touching, but I was moved by the deeper message of this movie. That is, the FL felt guilty for being the only person being able to hear and speak in her family. This made her feel like she had the heavy responsibility to take on her sisterās burdens and dreams, and forgoe any dreams of her own. But fortunately her sister and parents made her understand that she should live her own life. I have seen this kind of thing happen in real life, so I can appreciate it
I totally loved the original Taiwanese movie āHear Meā (2009) with Ivy Chen and Eddie Peng. I havent watched this korean remake but I will soon. I highly encourage everyone to watch the original as it was very heartfelt and cute.
So much debate about the āopen endingā. It should be noted that in the novel she passes away. All signs in the last episode pointed towards a sad ending (her passing away), but then at the last moment it looks like the PD wanted to provide an āopen endingā to give each person the ending they wanted whether it be sad or happy depending on their interpretation. This is just lazy and a cop-out. It seems like the PD did this as an after-thought, after they finished filming and then have them come back and shoot that extra post-credits scene.
I personally think having her come back alive defeats the whole purpose of the story, after all flowers are known for their exquisite beauty but have a short shelf life. This is what makes flowers so precious. Donāt get me wrong, I cried like a baby at the end, but would have liked a more meaningful and claer ending.
what was censored??? where did you watch it from?? are there different versions?? cause i felt some scenes/parts…
In an interview Jerry and Ruo Han said they had some steamy make out scenes that had to be cut out because of censorship. Too bad, would have loved to see those since it really represents their amazing chemistry and passionate love
Maybe Iām the only one but I actually shipped Han Sung Woo and Go Mi Rae as a couple. Its interesting how he tried avoiding her bc she was so pretty, but she ended up falling for him because he was sincerely nice to her
At the very end it looks like she FL stabs her husband ML in the back and he has this weird expression on his face. Did she actually kill him? Did she use the fake prop knife or real one? Does anyone know? I hate open endings like this, its just lazy writing. Spoil please š
