Totally agree. So many dramas portray ML as being cold, ruthless and insensitive (but with a heart of gold ? Lol). These men are depicted as being successful, rich and always end up getting the girl. These toxic role models aren’t helpful

I actually think it is refreshing to see this kind of awkwardness between two shy people (to a certain point). I see it in real life. But in this drama it is exaggerated and stretched out for much too long. Also think FL’a character has lived a very sheltered life with overprotective “uncles”, so Zhou Ye is just playing her character as it was written

Ya, was too long, should have been 24 eps. Maybe its just me but Jue Mei and the college girl don’t seem to have any chemistry. They look awkward as a couple. They portray Jue Mei as a shy guy but I always got “player” vibes from him. I think Du Bing and Jue Mei would make a good couple

Me too, a romance drama is nothing without good chemistry. Interesting how their chemistry is kind of quiet, unspoken but very present

Same here, when I first watched it I thought it was a little boring and too much of a slow-burn romance. In my silly mind I was chastising ML QQC for being too much of a gentleman and that he should just kiss her. In my country if a guy doesn’t kiss a girl by the 3rd date, people assume that he is gay (no offence to anyone). But I have come to appreciate the sweet gentle chivalry (lost these days) of this drama.

This is a funny, light and cute little dorama which I enjoyed. Because it involves bodyguards, I can’t help but compare it to BG Personal Bodyguard with Kimura Takuya which is probably the best bodyguard series I have seen, with top notch actors. I know its not a fair comparison but…

Koisuru Keigo has a younger sexier cast, ML is jpop idol (leader of boyband SnowMan). Its a lighter and funnier series either. Don’t expect great acting, but don’t take the series to seriously either. (Their skills as a bodyguard leave much to be desired - IRL they would be laughed at). Its short and sweet, so just relax and enjoy : )

That is a really good point. Maybe the censor did not like the original ending so they have to change it. Why would these popular actors/actresses agree to be in this if they knew the ending was so bad and fans will hate it

Most people have posted that he actually died (off screen death by kidnappers). After his death she started hallucinating him just like he hallucinated that kid who died. She lied to his family by telling them he is alive and working abroad. That’s why the show is called “Beautiful Lie”.
