The characters are really unique. How they tried to fool the viewer by showing us Pat is a hot-headed aggressive guy, when in reality he isn't. It's too funny! Like in the trash bin-kicking scene I expected them to fight, but nope. It's similar with Pran at the beginning, when his friend tells him, there is a fight and he has to come. He gets up, tense battle music is playing - and then it stops and he puts his earphones veeeeery slowly back and looks at his pencils. Haha! Hilarious. At this point they aren't friends (even though it looks like Pat has a little crush on Pran), but they don't hate each other either. It's funny how they try to end this childish gang fight behind the back of their friends. Especially Pran seems to be a rather sneaky guy, who swindles himself out of every situation. I also get a cocky-little-princess vibe from him. Pat seems to be more easy-going and soft. I like it. No top/bottom stereotypes.
Based on the live interview recently, Ohm said he wanted to do BL this time because of Nanon. Overall, he doesn't…
But the BL genre sure came a long way since "Make It Right". The production and acting is more professionell nowadays. Only good scripts are lacking. But I feel a lot of not-BL-shows suffer from the same problem.
I'm a bit worried this will end up like 2gether. The buddy-vibe is strong, but for a BL I need a bit more. Not sure if they can portray two lovers convincingly.
Watch Kiss Me Again. There is a 3 part BL cut for Pete and Kao on Youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jP1vOljyTLI
You're welcome. To make it short: Watch the BL cut (link above) of "Kiss Me Again" and then "Dark Blue Kiss". That's the right order. You will like one of those series for sure (or even both).

You won't miss anything. Their first appearance was in "Kiss The Series" where they had almost no screen time. "Kiss Me Again" was the sequel where we learnt how they met. Those two series are not BL. They were just a side couple. The couple became popular, so they got their own BL series.
The problem, though: They changed Kao's character in every series. I loved Kao in "Kiss Me Again", but he was unrecognizable in "Dark Blue Kiss". And their scenes in "Kiss The Series" aren't worth watching. Again, he was completely different there. The writers apparantly didn't care about telling a coherent story. They just milked the couple.
So I FINALLY watched I Told You About Sunset and now I'm here. The biggest problem with this series is the strange characters. I have no idea who they are, what they think and feel. I wonder how the actors managed to make a pretty good series with such a poor script. The script writer failed horribly to portray this characters in a way that as a viewer you learn about them. I wouldn't be able to describe their personality, and the conflicts in their hearts are also pretty mysterious. They go more with the "show don't tell" approach, but it's just not working . You have to FEEL this series, not to understand it. Which is okay, I guess. But still ...! It's a strange experience.
I love Nanon. Back then I watched My Dear Loser, and even though I dropped it, because I wasn't into the plot, I remember clearly how impressed I was by Nanon's acting. Don't know about Ohm, though. People seem to praise him a lot. I have only seen him in Make It Right. His charms aren't working for me, but I'm willing to change my mind. In general this series looks pretty mature and high quality. Hopefully we finally get a good BL!
I started watching this and was very impressed. But the more I watch, the more flaws I find. Almost all the older female relatives are annoying like hell and bad people. And the parents who left coming back and making trouble! Sigh. It was to be expected with such a premise, but they drag it out too much. And the actors aren't great either. The comment below mine is gushing over SWL. He is very tall, very slim and has very unusual not Asian looking facial feature - no wonder he is popular in China! We all know the less Asian the actors look, the more popular they are. He just seems out of place for me. A normal decent looking guy would make such a family drama with normal decent looking people more believable. He seems like a dark mysterious prince out of a fantasy world. It's all a bit too cliche like in some romance webtoon. The other guy has not much charms either. He honestly annoys me most of the time. The child actors were cuter. The girl is great, tough. And I love the fathers and the siblings relationship in general. Unfortunately it's heading into a romance direction and I wasn't asking for that AT ALL. Yeah, yeah, they aren't "real" siblings, I know, but come on ...! It wasn't needed. I guess I will keep watching, but so far I'm not crazy about it.
I dropped this when it aired, because I wasn't really in the mood for such a series and I also thought the male lead was boring and unappealing. And then I watched Beyond Evil recently. Haha! Now I'm here again and cannot wait for the male lead to appear!
