You mean they are not friends anymore? Because before they were great together and "best friends". I saw some recent interviews where they were sitting apart to the point that it was really obvious something is not right. It put me in such a bad mood that I stopped watching.

Those awkward pauses are for sure a Thai thing. I also find if funny when they are just standing around in such an unnatural way as if they wouldn't know where to put their arms. Watching Taiwanese drama is pretty refreshing, because they don't do that.

Regarding TharnType: I don't like Gulf and that's a big problem. His acting, his character, his appearance – I'm not a fan. Mew is more charming and his appearance is more captivating (at least that's how I feel). I have the same issue with MODC: Hao Ting's character is not to my liking. I recently discovered how important it is that you can fall in love with BOTH actors of a couple and that's not always happening. In DBK New is dragging the Kao&Pete ship down too. Tay is by far doing a better job.

I think the script is partially to blame. I had no issue with his acting in KMA. Still, New isn't very convincing in most of his roles. I don't know what's holding him back.

He is such a complicated guy in real life. More of an introvert, always playing the victim, but in fact he is savage and it looks like it's hard to get along with him. But then I saw in an interview how Tay&New had to answer questions about each other and it was shocking to see that New knew everything (!!!) about Tay, vice versa that wasn't the case at all. This shows how he cares about others, how he understands and observes others. I feel like he is more emotional and introspective than Tay who honestly is a rather simple and out going guy. So why isn't he doing a better job when it comes to acting? It makes no sense.

New has such a complex personality in real life ... It's hard to understand that guy. It's also hard to understand how those two are best friends for so many years when they are so different and always on each others throats. It's really a mystery ...
Talking about DBK: The chemistry is gone and I'm fed up with New trying to look cute all the time. At the beginning Tay wasn't any better, because he tried to look hot all the time. It's mostly the script to blame I guess. They just messed this up.

All those BL series airing at the moment (MODC excluded) seems cheaply produced and have some pacing issue. Regarding TharnType I'm bothered by the pace too. It's just not that exciting. I feel there is not much to the story even though the plot had some potential. And then those annoying pauses before the characters speak – sigh! Talking about slow speech: you can watch DBK at 1,5 speed on YT and you will be able to read the subtitles just fine. That really shows how SLOOOOW the series is.

I have no problem if Pete&Kao don't show us any kiss. If the chemistry is good, that's all that counts. A sweet scene here and there, maybe a hug or a peck on the cheek – perfect. But the chemistry was off between those two from the very beginning. Their interaction feels awkward and forced to me for some reason. That kiss wasn't that bad, but it was far from great, especially after seeing the make out session in MODC which felt pretty natural. Tay&New just seemed to force themselves while kissing. This is just the worst. Really. This ship is sinking like the Titanic. I don't feel like watching this kiss every again.

If you mean the comments on YT: people there are less critical. But here on MDL you see how many are disappointed.

There is a sequel for Tin&Can? Wow ... the chemistry between those two was mind blowing.

Which comments are you reading? People are pretty critical and negative about this series. Maybe that changed recently, because the people who don’t like it, dropped it finally. I should too, I guess.
I‘m honestly so disappointed in the whole BL season. TharnType is not my cup of tea, because of the story, yes, but also the pacing and acting. UWMA is pretty cheesy and rather annoying. MODC is the only interesting show at the moment, but I‘m not really loving it either.

I don't want to spread negativity, but this series is incredible bad. Like they aren't even trying ... the series is completely unable to connect with the viewer on an emotional level. Mork & Sun are nice, but they don't get me excited either.

They aren't that young, are they? 25 at least I thought ... not teens anymore ...

I am well aware that they try to portray Kao as supportive. I even wrote that in my comment. I have an issue with New's acting. He has such a bland expression on his face all the time, so that I "feel" he doesn't care. I saw that New will have a new series coming up and I was surprised. I honestly thought he will not be any longer in the entertainment industry. He just lacks any enthusiasm lately.

How is it not a cowardly thing to do? People only think about themselves. I'm so afraid how others react etc. If Pete is the right one for him and we are supposed to believe this is true love, then what is Kao waiting for? Hiding this relationship is clearly hurting the one you love and you do it for selfish reasons, because you are afraid of the reaction of others. And don't tell me he doesn't want to hurt his mother etc. He IS gay and together with a man. Lying is not the solution. Also, he is 20 something years old. If he would be much younger, the situation would be completely different. Coming out when you're young, confused, afraid, insecure is something else than coming out when you are older, have a stable friendship circle, a stable relationship for years and a stable career in front of you. He is just ... waiting, thinking it gets easier with time. That's exactly how I would describe a "coward". And this is not necessarily only about coming out. I know many people who just can't make a decisions because they are afraid of what will happen. So they drag it out. Not a fan of that behavior.

I wasn't expecting that kiss. I really enjoyed the beginning of the scene when Kao put his arms around Pete, but it also reminded me about how great this series could have been, but they decided not to make it great for whatever stupid reason. No need for heavy make out sessions, just show us the chemistry with some cute and soft scenes like this. On a side note: if this series has such a high budget, why is there inconsistency between scenes? Pete is holding Kao's face while kissing him, then they zoom out and he is suddenly touching Kao's arm. I'm normally not that attentive, so if I have seen this, I would assume they should have seen it too.

Haha! But seriously ... I hate it, when people make such a big deal out of two (apparently straight) guys kissing like they deserve some special award. It's just kissing. Straight or not – it's acting. But if you have to do such a realistic and explicit sex scene – Jesus Christ! I wouldn't be able to pull that off. That's some dedication as an actor!

Btw: Asexuality mostly means that you don't desire doing it with another person, that you don't feel any sexual attraction towards another person. It doesn't necessarily means that you're not interested int those scenes.

Honestly this is rather complicated to explain. There are many people out there who live in their "romance bubble". Everything has to be cute, romantic and emotional. Their idea of romance and love is very childish and immature. I know a lot of people who still blush when they talk about sex or don't enjoy "explicit" scenes or are even shocked by them, but then they have three children. I guess they are doing it in the dark, in the missionary position and blushing all the time. I'm mostly talking about women here, because I assume some girls have problems with those scenes and not gay men. I know women who also like to talk about love and have a very romantic mindset, but then they are grossed out by their own private parts and are shocked when I'm talking about masturbation.

I wonder if they will show them to us somehow. It would be a shame if nobody sees it. There goes a lot of effort in those scenes after all.

Jesus ... First time I don't know what to say. This series is INTENSE!

People should stop reviewing series when they didn't even end. What's the point? You're all thirsty for the likes or what?

They did New dirty with that kind of script. He was terrible in his hetero role in Love Beyond Frontier and he is terrible in this role. He comes across as very superficial and whiny. At this point I wonder why Pete is even in love with him. There are so many rather childish and annoying conflicts, but one conflict is pretty serious and they just brush it off like it's nothing. I'm talking about the fact that Pete isn't smart enough. He is bad at academics/studying and he is bad at public speaking. Not being able to get that internship in this famous company, not being as smart as your friends is a pretty shitty feeling. I get depressed just by watching those scenes. I wonder how they will handle it. I'm a bad public speaker too and I "practiced" throughout my university years. It's not getting better. You have it or you don't. Kao comes across as supportive, but in fact he is not. I strongly feel that he doesn't care. Maybe because most of the time he has this naive/stupid look on his face for whatever reason. If they have a more serious scene with good dialogue it's mostly Pete who is delivering some wisdom. Hiding this relationship is also such a cowardly thing to do and disrespectful towards Pete. They are trying to portray Kao as "poor" with many responsibilities towards his mother and his sister – but it's not working. He is smart, successful in his studies, has a tutoring job, the mother has a good job too, their house is nice etc. Try harder next time, really.
