Don't know what to think about this, but I didn't skip a second so that's a good sign I guess. Some of the dialogue is cringy though. And what was that last scene?!?!
Well, thats how the world works. The most popular series are always extremely good or extremely bad.
I normally get mad when a bad series is hyped so much *cough* Love by Chance *cough* But in this case I don’t care at all, because Off and Gun are two sweethearts. So I‘m pretty sure the popularity of the actors play a big role in all this hype. I‘m just honestly surprised that there is so less criticism about the story and the characters. The LGBT Community is all about „healthy“ relationships. Normally they would trash such a series merciless.
I think you're referring the old trailer, the one that they made before they even started shooting the series.…
Thank you for the link, but I have seen this trailer. Gulf seems to be a rookie actor and it shows. Also a PTSD storyline can always go horribly wrong. That kind of storyline needs some heavy drama and maybe an open end, but it looks like they are going in a different direction. I also feel like there is no chemistry between the leads. Still I hope for the best and I will watch it for sure!
This storyline has a lot of potential, but it looks cheaply produced, bad acted and overall too cheesy and cringy. Hopefully I'm wrong, but the trailer wasn't looking that good :(
No they aren't the fighting kinda couple this time. If you've noticed, they are more intimate and comfortable…
Most (I suppose younger) people like the cheesy stuff. I'm a bit sad, because I would wish for some more mature and well told BL series, but at the end of the day all those stories follow the same plot to make sure fans will be satisfied. Pete&Kao are playing it safe too, but at least the execution is more mature. Their interacting, their bickering, their sweet scenes are well acted and pretty smart. Tay and New are pulling it off in an incredible way. Their affection for each other shows in every scene. Their acting is so natural and feels "real" while in many other series it's a bit awkward when the two guys interact. Sometimes that awkwardness is part of the chemistry, but Tay&New just feel at ease when they are with each other. It's so obvious that they are really, really close friends in real life and because of that they are unable to pull off the stupid fan service. It's hilarious, honestly. Seeing those guys passionately kiss would make me faint though. I will admit as much :P
I wonder why so many people are worked up about Suzy‘s acting or how her character is not portrayed in a realistic way. This show has some bigger problems! It focuses too much on the overall story. The characters are mere tools to put the plot forward. I don't care for any of them. They are not interesting enough and that's a HUGE fail. On a side note: Korea is a bit late to the game. We got in the last two decades enough of those terrorism stories (mostly from the US though). I'm just not in the mood to watch this.

Honestly, I'm not here for what others call "romance". I feel like most people think staring in each others eyes, all shy and in love, being all cute together etc. is "romantic". I could never get into the Krist/Singto pairing even though Sotus is a very good show. I refused watching Love By Chance for a long time, because the main couple was just too much for me. Talking about Pete&Kao I thought their episode in Our Skyy was VERY romantic. That kiss on the bridge was great, the dialogue cute and funny. Kao leaning onto Pete with that cute smile – that's what I call romantic! My heart melted. Those two don't even need to kiss to make my heart beat faster, but I'm sure their popularity would increase a lot if they deliver good kisses.

I kinda agree that their interaction is not romantic/sensual/sexual. But at the same time I must admit watching them in Kiss Me Again got me ... ahem ... very excited (in a romantic/sensual/sexual way). So there is something special about those two for sure. If they deliver some good kisses, everyone will go crazy. After seeing New kiss Earth in Waterboys and Tay kissing his co-stars in 3 will be free I hope they are not holding back anymore.
Okay, the Tin&Can pairing was really something else. I felt like I have never seen characters and a story like this before. Both actors did great, especially Tin. Very intense guy and very convincing acting. Not at all predictable. Really refreshing. I got such a strange (but pleasant) feeling watching those two ... I cannot explain it ...
I feel really guilty now, because I really did enjoy this series, but now after watching the new season, it has…
Don't know about the second season, but the first one was cringy as hell. No idea why so many liked it. I'm trying season 2 now. Hopefully it's better ...
And let's all pray that this won't end like Together with me the next Cheater
I don't have high hopes. Pete&Kao story in Kiss Me Again was one cliche after another. They did well where other stories failed (for example the girlfriend issue was resolved pretty fast), still it was the same old plot. If they could come up with something new, this would be great. But judging by the trailer this will be about acceptance, outing and jealousy like we have seen it before many times.
I agree with you and I am really confused because this novel and the author are really praised in thailand apparently…
The quality of BL stories in Asia isn't that great to begin with. They are very open about Gay love and get a lot of international fans, but the stories itself are full of cliches and questionable plots. Like Heroin/Addicted which was such a HUGE success. The novel is terrible written, the plot pretty disgusting. Lately I thought about it, that those BL stories are sooo similar. Guy falls in love with other guy, gay-panic, a girlfriend appears, coming-out-issues, bullying or typical top-bottom-cliches. I'm not complaining, but they should come up with something more original already. In Theory of Love we had again a weak "bottom" which is very submissive and lots of (emotional) violence he had to endure in the name of love. If not for the chemistry between the actors, I wouldn't even watch those series.
