It is timeless.
This is created in 2014. And now it’s 2020 . Yet, this drama can hold on its own even all these years. Why? I’ll reiterate, it is TIMELESS. Yes, a classic, beautifully-made drama that will leave you spellbound up to the very end. It is does not rely mainly on one theme but it perfectly manages to knit varied genres. This I think made the story one fascinating. Hence, I am still wondering why it is not that well-received in Korea during it’s airing. Anyway, I personally dig this show because it somehow reminds me of “La Femme Nikita”. It is like “West meets the East”. It feels like a Hollywood TV show but has Asian touch. Well, maybe it is just me. Overall, I want to give “Healer” a perfect rating. Like seriously, even my husband who is not so much into this kind of thing, seriously finished this show. Dang!!! I am even utterly in love with how JCW portrays his characters. Hope you give it a try too!!!Was this review helpful to you?
Masterpiece of Xianxia!!!
Everything else pales in comparison with Ashes of Love in terms of fantasy romantic genre. Classic. It glued me even though it has many episodes. It made me fall in love with historical dramas. It just shows that love transcends time. The lead actors became my favorites after watching them. The whole casts, amazing plot and cinematography are all epic. All the ost used are memorable and divine. It’s as if I am in the heavely realm. If ever there will be season 2, I will be ecstatic. I am forever in love with Ashes of Love. Was this review helpful to you?
Here to make the rating higher ☺️
First, I am really nit picky when it comes to watching Cdrama. Most of the time, I either dropped or fast forward even when it is a popular drama. So when I watched this show, I don’t expect much but viola!!! I super love this. It might not be a perfect or unique storyline and their are some dull and predictable parts, hence, it dows not hinder in keeping me glued throughout until the end. That is feat. Well, for me 😅 Simple and enigmatic character portrayals. That is why sometimes, finding underrated drama is a gem.Was this review helpful to you?
A Gem
I have written my reviews under the comment section. So I am going to make this short but sweet. People will find it boring but for me the simple but realistic storyline but the superb portrayal of the casts made it a masterpiece. My goodness, I adore Yang Zi so much and this is the very first time I watched Xiao Zhan and I am in love. Haha! They deserved to be the Weibo King & Queen. Anyway, the ending is satisfying and the father-daughter moments for me is the best part. With all honesty, this modern drama is one of all my time biased favorite drama. The Feels of Ashes & Love and Redemption
I have been waiting for a long time to binge-watch a xianxia. And out of nowhere, this drama was dropped like a bomb. I can’t fathom why some hates this historical just by watching 5 episodes. Of course, there will be character development as the story progresses. I love the leads and the reason why I am greatly supporting this drama. Yang Zi fits the role and give a comic relief to the melancholy mood while Chen Yi, what else to say about him. He is excellent. All the cast are good and CGI as well. Don’t miss this romantic drama, so worth it!!!Was this review helpful to you?
Dropped this because of Janice’s annoying facial expressions.
I may have not dropped this if it is not Janice who is acting on it. Her exaggerated facial expressions really put me off. It is truly annoying me. I do not know why people find her acting good. Maybe I need to watch her other dramas. I belong to the minority here. I really can’t fathom why this drama is hyped. I think it is mediocre. Though, I find the story refreshing from other normal romance dramas because of the “sports” genre in it. Nevertheless, I hope I can pick it up again, watched it and prove myself wrong. Was this review helpful to you?
Riveting and Mysterious
First, Lee Joon Gi as ML for sure, nothing will go wrong. I dig the chemistry between the leads and their portrayals. Likewise, after I have watched feel good drama, I would like to see a drama that will resonate to my very core. And this definitely is one of those that will tear you apart but will eventually grows on you. Then, as it can be emotionally draining at times, my interest is piqued at every turn of events. It feels good to see again a k-drama that is beautifully written. What really irked me are those drama that are overrated and this definitely live up to the ratings and I hope it continues (still ongoing as of the writing) More Power!!!Was this review helpful to you?
