What a great article. I've been geeking out over this production since episode one. I was hopeful that the quality would continue and boy...I was NOT disappointed by this team. From episode 1 to episode 21(most recently aired episode at the time of this comment) the quality hasn't dipped once. From the lighting, directing, cinematography, costumes, and performances, everything has remained what most can only achieve in the first few episodes before dropping off.
I end up watching each episode at least twice. The first time I get the words and story, as my Mandarin comprehension is atrocious. The second time I really get to focus on the performances from all the actors. They are giving such nuanced performances for those quiet moments. The attention to detail when crafting the interactions between the two leads is nothing short of breath taking.
This is quickly over taking all 2024 cdrama productions that I've seen this year. And 2024 was a really strong year in the costume dramas for me.
Again....yall the lighting...I'm gagged. It just never misses. The hand shots and moments of just a breath...the article really articulates everything that I would want to say about this drama's production. If for some reason you still haven't started watching this drama, let this article be the finally straw that was holding you back, just do it.
Wei Tingyu is a useless piece of trash. Such a coward on top of that. Like, he already saw how his sister treated…
I need everyone to notice the signs of an abusive relationship when looking at him. The self harm and begging after hurting the other person(emotionally or physically). The threatening their own life/safety to get their way etc. He makes all these grand promises, but never follows through, and then blames her for "caging him in". It's classic beginnings of an abusive relationship. The quicker you can spot the signs the better.
Father-in-laws are so freaking hilarious.🤣🤣💀 Dou is all happy having a spine that functions and being oblivious to his in-laws inner monologue. Dou: "Dou Zhao personal made this tonic for you." ☺️*proud papa moment...isn't my daughter amazing to have for a daughter-in-law, she knows medicine and business and accounting* Song: 😵💫🤢🤮*thinking he's just drunk poison*
Man thinks he's become a pig for slaughter and is two steps from death's door. That whole sequence was priceless with his servant responding yes when asked a rhetorical question about Song being the stupidest man alive.
Please write the second leads out of the story. Wasting screentime with bad acting.... Its like they have their…
Their investigation is directly related to the character development of the main leads. This is where BSE grew up before replacing the real BSE. Is he one of the twins or one of the other boys? Is his twin dead or is he team psycho. They are helping to uncover the wrong doings of both the female leads family, but most importantly the male lead's family. It's not actually taking up too much time imo.
what I would like to know is the trajectory of that fall. how the hell did she survive the fall from that cliff…
(Giving the production the biggest benefit of the doubt, throwing most logic out the window, but going based off of my knowledge of objects falling from high places.) There are branches and then slopes that would have carried her further down the mountain. So lots of rolling. It's not a straight shot down from that area. And depending on terrain they might be dealing with multiple splits where she could have rolled left or right. I would have thought the best logic would to be heat sensor drones or helicopter to narrow down the search area. Also starting by simply repelling straight down would have been my personal choice. I would understand their type of search more if the didn't know the location of WHERE she fell/went missing. But they do know so I have to just play dumb to not laugh/get eye twitchy when thinking about these search and rescue professionals.
I think it's past time that he tells the spokes person team that Hui Joo is his wife. The behavior at the MT alone…
If Ji Sang U told them about the villa and toys, but not about the cat situation....yeah it's quite possible that he has linked the two in his mind and suspects something like a murder cover up. As he has no family that would have looked for him as well, he's taken it upon himself to look into what happened to the other boys. If he thinks he's responsible for enticing them to go to the villa, but not giving them a warning he might feel guilty. He mentioned that he waited until now because his channel finally was strong enough(aka had a large enough audience) to get eyes on this information and not be outright dismissed and brushed off by the public. The only reason he's doing this investigation with the reporter is because they approached him and he saw it as an even bigger platform to out what happened to these kids.
Loserdom.? I don't agree. Being cold like a robot with some kind of sociopathic tendencies, was not a win in my…
Loserdom is what all great MLs entire when the viewer finally sees their "down bad" side for the FL. Ryu Sun Jae from Lovely Runner is an excellent example. This is not a bad thing this is an open inside joke amongst drama watchers.
Specifically when he orders heart themed lunch boxes for his entire team just so he can give his wife one. aka when he gets caught in 4K doing something a bit cheesy and is like "What? I don't know what you're talking about, this behavior is 100% normal and not at all out of character for me." To a friend or colleague.
He officially entered loserdom, and I'm here for it. Spoiler thoughts below for episode 6
I think it's past time that he tells the spokes person team that Hui Joo is his wife. The behavior at the MT alone needs to be cleared up because they all know he's a married man. But his reaction to Hui Joo falling, and him going full blown search and rescue can't be brushed off as him having training as his reaction was extremely emotional. For the preview I wonder if the reporter is going to get a page stating that Hui Joo is Sa Eon's wife and that's what is causing her disbelief. I just feel like the cat has got to come out of the bag for something next week. Also also...the twin thing. Is BSE a twin & they(the parents) or the real BSE got ride of him, or is he still out there somewhere? The photo was too tiny for me to clearly see if the twins were identical. But if the Baek family needed someone to replace their son and the closest fit was a twin I think they would have gotten rid of the spare as to not have a double of their "son" walking around. The other orphans....I wonder if the real BSE became a young serial killer and his victims were the boys who wandered into the villa like Ji Sang U did in the past. Or if they were also rich kid replacements.

A few of us think that 406 is the real Baek Sa Eon...."I know Baek Sa Eon best." calling her unni, the hidden child at the villa being so innocent when talking about cutting open a cat to see inside.... If the child of political family was already showing major signs of psychopathy it wouldn't be far fetched to switch him out. And with adopted kids missing....they could be dead....or they could have just taken over the identity of an already existing child of a wealthy family.
This is the schedule for this week. If you have access to the VIP schedule through WeTV or our friends in hidden places😉😏 just shift the numbers over by one. The next episodes to air on the 14th are ep 17-18 unless you have access to the VIP then it's ep18-19. Hope this helps. They'll post next weeks schedule in the photo section of the drama again at the end of the week. But MDL does have a calendar tab that you can filter to your personal drama watch list. Just make sure you update your Currently Watching or Plan to Watch list and the calendar automatically will show any shows you have saved. This is EXTREMELY helpful for Cdramas that sometimes only get a day's heads up before dropping the first 4 episodes of a show. I'm not joking when I say 7 business days notice in advance is considered early.
Okay I need to shout out my girl Ella on Youtube. Everyone here has most likely seen one of her edits before, but I just found out that youtube isn't recommending her videos at the moment because of a strike. SOOOOoooo if you enjoy thoughtfully edited drama videos to music please give her videos a watch. I'm linking the one she's done for Blossom using footage from episodes 1-10. https://youtu.be/6eF1ToeolmM?si=Txg0Vn5Aae1jlscr
that happened to me too! as soon as it was out of sync i refreshed
I just normally hit the back 10secs and if the subs are out of sync I just try and remember the dialogue and let it be...I'll be rewatching this episode on VIKI anyway later in the week when it drops in nice crispy HD on my TV.
Dou Zhao's dad finally made an improvement, the old man gained a spine although it took him so long but at least…
I wonder if he's(Song Mo) the mountain in the allegory that fell and because he "fell"(in love) their fates have changed. Like he's so changed that the blood shared in death no longer exists...
If we don't get a call back to Uber Eats Army in a later episode with her having pregnancy cravings I will be so disappointed. It can be in an extended epilogue or one of the 5 minute post drama shorts....but if this show has a happy ending...i neeeed an Uber Eats Army pregnancy cravings edition.
“i don't like you. that's why i cannot be married to you.”“you're lying.” “i'm not.” “that's not…
The shot right after this line when she stands up and he doesn't move out of her way and it's just perfectly timed an spaced....yes rehearsal paying off!

The whole village/province doing a 180 now that the marriage is in the bag. 🤭😇
