Same! The walk was so weird, like they were just marching in place in front of a green screen.
They probably were on a green screen walking in place that's why it looked so off. The dialog is longer than the set is aka if they were actually walking they would have walked off of the dressed location.
I will never understand needing to change an entire outfit just because someone spilled water on a sleeve. (I actual know why they do this.) I just don't like that it's used a lot to trap a person like it will be used in the coming episode. Causing Yi Ning to change clothes so that LJX can trap her and show her his creepy dolls and bridal suite...my guy....back off. I'll be interested to see what scenes play in what order(as teasers never have events in order)
The Luo family needs to mind their own business and stop trying to marry off Luo Shen Yuan, if the women in the family could have a say in who they marry, surely the person who is going to be the head of the family should be allowed to choose and marry at his leisure. I get why the father would push it(he's actively trying to cover something up so distracting ShenYuan could help him.) As they have deviated from the books so greatly I'm curious to see the Duke, Wei Ling's, reaction when he finds out how much his daughter hates LJX...and why. Their fathers had me giggle gaggling throughout episodes 30 and 31. The Duke is about to girl-dad a little too close to the sun soon. aka putting a target on his daughter's back unknowingly when she has a sizable one already.
Also...PS...Ma, are you also watching this? *off to debrief with my ma because I see her lurking*
Ep 22 Cinematographer and fight choreographer showed up and showed OUT...left zero crumbs. Whole fight team deservers a resounding round of applause. Great attention to detail with the camera work and utilized the spaces & numbers well.
Liu Zhong knew that if he died he would be able to save JingHe and thus save the Emperor as well. I don't think…
She's honestly a great 2FL. Strong and independent. Even though she loved the ML and wanted to marry him she never did anything to harm the FL. She kept her issues with the ML between her and the ML. She cares deeply for her country & knows right from wrong. Yes, she can fall into manipulations, but some of those manipulations were actually sincere(the temple thing with the CP). I just like that her character has dimension and feels like an actual human with flaws and emotions. She isn't comic book evil out to get the ML at any cost. So, slay girl slay! I just don't like all the Luo Mei slander in the comments calling her stupid...girly has a game plan.
Imma need his make-up artist to get the correct shade of foundation for him though
It's not even the correct undertone for him so he just looks sickly. I just need people to have their natural melanin in these shows for once. As a pale bitch who practically glows in the dark, please just let people not look like a vampire has taken over their body when they normally look sun-kissed.
Everyone is talking about how dumb LuoMei is, but I think there is more...in spoiler tag below.
Liu Zhong knew that if he died he would be able to save JingHe and thus save the Emperor as well. I don't think he was necessarily asking LuoMei to give the Emperor the antidote herself. She is playing the long game. She now knows that the CP has been disloyal to not only his family, but the people of the country she's sword to protect with her life. She can't "turn on him" just yet. Her sister, thus her entire family, are in the CP's control. I believe she is trusting JingHe to be able to get the antidote to the Emperor in another way. Even if the Emperor dies I believe only then will she take matters into her own hands with the CP. I think she truly did start to fall for the CP and knows that she will have to be the one to possibly kill him.
Sorry, nothing can make me like the emperor’s relationship with cocubine yan. An old man with and underage bride…
I like to pretend that he sees her as the daughter he could never have, and that he is the father that she always wanted.
Disclaimer: I have no clue if there are princesses running around with his DNA as we haven't met any on screen. This is me rewriting as I watch so that I can still love their story. Let me live in my delulu bubble. If production wanted to, they could have designed the lighting, music, and shots to show a more paternal love, but alas they did the slow-mo fuzzy light while he looked at her...
The production does a good job at not "lingering" in moments of affection that would be considered weird imo.…
Ep 27 just aired today. A character who has been trying to harm FL accused FL's mother of being "fickle" or "loose" calling into question FL's birth. She talks to ML after this scene but she is still in shock over other things and he comforts her but the interaction is cut short when FL is called in to talk with the "adults" about something alone. That something turns out to be 2 witnesses to her birth. So only now is she coming to grips that it might not just be slander but fact that she isn't her father's child. 28 and 29 will dive deeper into finding out the truth. So we as an audience haven't seen the shift of their relationship just yet.
Saw a clip on twitter & Weibo. LSY will investigate with Minglan painting. He will find out its Wei Ling. He will…
It's any country real or fictionalized that has titles and royalty that get extremely confusing if you aren't paying attention. Also the fact that sometimes subbers will use the name instead of title of someone or viscera makes it even more difficult to keep up.
Honestly, this one is kind of for the romance girlies. As the ML navigates his feelings for someone who believes he is their sibling....it's giving Darcy hand flex. The family politics are the center of the show, but the slow burn wont disappoint if you are good with Jane Austen levels of romance...which lets face it...most of her novels were family drama romance.
Can someone brief me about the dynamic between ML &FL? I haven't started yet, waiting for the show to end to binge…
The production does a good job at not "lingering" in moments of affection that would be considered weird imo. When they both think they are blood related there is only affection coming from sympathy and interest in knowing someone else who has suffered under the same roof/family. When he finds out that she isn't his sister his protectiveness switches from brotherly to that of a man protecting a woman he cares deeply for. Her eyes don't rest on him like ML's rest on her. (It's all about how long a shot of someone lasts and the lighting/music used) FL is trying to find him a suitable wife & he barely looks at them and watches her. I think there is maybe 1 moment that I can think of off hand that there was a definite "pause" on her side, but again the production didn't linger on the moment. I think both the lead actress and actor are doing an amazing job at showing care and love at the varying stages of their relationship so far. Ep 27 is the first time anyone but the ML is hearing that she isn't the biological daughter of the Second Master of the Luo family. So we haven't seen her with the ML since she's confirmed this information as fact and not slander.
I wish they had styled his hair differently...sniff. Anyway, does anyone know if there will be a print feature?
Oh, I thought both of their styling was really well done. Just enough sharp and soft. Natural textures/fabrics well other than 2 of her looks. But the overall vibe was well captured.
what do you mean ? the schedule says ep 26 for today (so ep 27 for express, still one ep for today), that is was…
Thank you for this, cause my brain was struggling with the dates cause I was like surely the time difference doesn't matter that much to shift a whole day number....So this explanation finally clears everything up.
The schedule that the production releases themselves not being correct is starting to drive me up the walls. This is not the first nor even the only current drama with this issue.
I'll be interested to see what scenes play in what order(as teasers never have events in order)

(please don't become toxic like the other father figure in her life, amen)
