So glad I watched this without reading the comment section. I don't even remember why of all the shows on my TBW list I chose this one to watch on my days off, but I did....and I enjoyed it. It's not going to be for everyone, but it was a quick watch for me. If you're on the fence just watch it.

yeah. will love in spring was a really great drama. I still feel they fumbled in the final 2 episodes, but that's just a personal beef with the writers. the overall production was top tier. the whole vibe of the show was just..."it" ya know...

oh no, not them fixing their problems because of a life or death situation...eep. they better have either already worked through their issues at this point or have a really in depth talk after. Have no clue where this falls in the over all show.

Once it's done I'll be able to give a solid yes, but I've seen Will Love in Spring, and they kind of dropped the ball in the last few episodes imo. But both dramas are giving a similar vibe of confident adults navigating their true sense of self vs the expectations of others.
I think that the cinematography/direction and OST was stronger in WLiS(serious the OST slapped).
This one is pretty good. I'm not a huge fan of the multi couple story filler cause we are following not only the ML and FL, but the FL's 3 best friends AND the woman who's in love with the ML. aka we have 4 other stories all connected to the ML/FL, but not directly effecting their own relationship with the exception of the woman who likes the ML(she causing some angst).
The couple I skip all the time is the bestie/roommate and ML's "uncle"(who is younger than the ML, the "uncle" is the ML's great aunt's son) other than to have a reason for the great aunt to support the FL, they don't really add much to the overall story imo. Cute, but...pointless so far.

She was with him for 4 years and they were looking to by a home and get married...even though she did realize that they weren't right for each other, months(not years) later he is marrying one of her best friends. She is seeing a life that she was supposed to have with the man she thought she would marry....that's going to make you a bit introspective. She also very much loves her best friend and still very much cares for her ex's happiness. So they are bittersweet tears. Mourning the loss of something she knows she no longer wants, and happy that the people she cares about are happy together. Still doesn't mean that she wants to be front row center for ALL of their happiness, hence why she took a walk once the main ceremony ended.

Imagine that you have been working toward something for years, but you had something else you felt was more important to your core sense of self, but you have to give up the former to attain the latter. Then you see the thing you were working toward realized by someone else. close to you....emotions are going to bubble up even if you've already processed leaving the thing you were working toward in the past.

They were both in the wrong, but she doubled down when she found the documents and instead of talking like adults in a business and romantic relationship she retaliated for revenge.
A "How does that make you feel? Cause this is what it felt like when I read the documents you hid from me."

I was like girly this isn't just about your feelings, this is about your company and everyone below you and you went nuclear on you relationship and business investor....like girl take a breath, pause, and have a conversation.

I think that JX has shown that she has a few trust issues. With her ex she searched his apartment top to bottom after he ended things looking to see if there was evidence of another woman. She didn't ASK if there was someone else, she first looked for evidence. So her behavior tracks.

With HT there have been so many chances for him to say something about him owning the company that everyone keeps comparing hers to, but he stayed silent. When multiple people are telling you, you don't really know your partner and you have any kind of insecurity...yeah I get why she did what she did. It wasn't right or mature, but HT definitely didn't do things right either.

They are both so used to how they do things or how they perceive how things are done that their communication had a complete breakdown. She should have immediately gone to HT after ZD spoke to her and said. "Hey, I don't really trust ZD, but she said some things today about you owning HB and it made me really confused and I'm not sure how I feel about this information." Instead she was vague as all hell talking around the issue and he chickened out once again with telling her, missing his final chance to get even a little bit ahead of things.

She was sooooo in the wrong for finalizing funding from his main competitor falling RIGHT into the trap laid by ZD. ZD just underestimated how badly the other guy wants ZD's company to have nothing to do with HT.

I'm trying to remember if HT has actually sat JX down and explained in detail the dynamic of his family and the relation to their family business. Who he doesn't trust and why he feels that way. JX is learning so much from him when it comes to business, but the underhanded way he does some of his lessons is not great for a romantic partner. Some of it is necessary for her to stand on her own, but other things seem slightly manipulative.

I think both are so in the wrong for not communicating things to one another on a business level and on a private level. But I'll give the writers props for having an accurate argument that would happen when you mix this kind of business with personal life.

Haven't seen too many of his dramas yet, but have seen Best Choice Ever...the few things these have in common is that they are both for more adult audiences. They aren't what I would consider "idol" dramas or younger family dramas. His characters are in their late 20s early 30s so that could be a factor. But again I'm sure a lot of factors go into a kiss/intimate scene in Chinese dramas these days. Also the actresses listed in all three are some of the top actors in the industry imo. Aka they are more experience in acting and could possibly be more comfortable with kiss scenes then some of his other co-stars. We've all seen senior actors take the leads in certain scenes so maybe it's something like that...?

Can someone tell me if the novel is actual do-over and not "it was all a dream". I figure the dream aspect is due to the censorship board. Wasn't my favorite of endings to skirt this issue, but I wouldn't trade it because the acting from everyone in those last episodes were...STUNNING! I'm so glad that these are the actors that are coming up in the industry right now. The whole cast did an amazing job. Just making my way through all of their back catalog of projects since seeing them in Love Me Love My Voice and Admits a Snowstorm of Love. Seriously it's like the never ending branch off of watching one actor/actress' work and then finding another amazing actor/actress in THAT project. Can wait for their future projects.

Not her, LR, struggling to open the doors blocked by PWX's scabbard only for the exterior shot of the doors to show another pair of doors unblocked right next to the others....🤣🤣💀 if she wanted to she could get out of that building. there has to be at least a dozen ways in and out.

I'm on the second to last episode and SRQ has spent more time on my screen then the titular character LR. Why? Who wrote this and thought "Yeah lets take this Romance novel and give half of the ML's scenes to the 2ml who is the villain...yeah...perfect everyone will love that."

My guy...bad move.
I will never want to revisit this drama again. I was loving this show and the banter and chemistry of the leads, but then the writer extended the SRQ plot past it's expiration. They then proceeded to have extended scenes with the FL and the SML with romantic music and shots.

This was the first drama I had seen of the lead actor...i binged watched SOKP in the middle of this show airing...so he wasn't the reason i was watching the show, but dear lord I wouldn't be surprised if his fans are writing up a storm on Chinese social media about how disappointing this show has become.

It was going to be a solid 10/10 show for me...but with only an hour left until the conclusion and SRQ still breathing and acting like he has a right to be all chummy with the FL still...yeah it's already down to an 8/10(which is low for me for shows of this caliber)

I'm not putting this under spoiler because I genuinely feel people need to know what they are getting into before starting this drama. It had amazing potential but they fumbled the bad because someone had a hard on for the Victorian Wormtongue that is SRQ.

In The Double the lead actor is the same age as his character...around 20/21 he just looks mature for his age.

Still in episode 36 and still want SRQ to die already. Really can't stand how much excessive screen time the character has gotten.
