No it happened before her amnesia. He's had the scar on his hand for a while. This was after he and his people were ambushed while under the impression of a truce. She remembers being the one to shoot the arrow at him, which confirms his identity as Lord Huaiyang to FL. She only shot the arrow at him because she thought ML attacked FIRST.

Waterfall scenes for tomorrow giving "quick change". aka looks like exact same camera set up and exact same hair wetness level for both outfits.
Yes i realize the level of hair dampness is a weird thing to notice and comment on. Yes i realize my brain focuses in on random not so important things.

He looked down cause her hands moved and made a sound...he wasn't checking her for weapons. The second he read the letter sent from his friend though....yeah hackles fully up. Personally think he might have found her dagger in the vase. Or something with her handwriting...if he and Lu Wen ever corresponded he might know her handwriting prior to her injuries changing it. Now that she's healed both physically and mentally her handwriting might have gone back to her previous style without her realizing it.

again...I'd like to point out that FL needs to investigate the SML and his assistant because she just learned of an unsanctioned ambush on ML during a truce...which was what kicked off the main conflict between ML and Lu Wen. She realized that ML had a misunderstanding with Lu Wen aka FL. FL is leaving because ML doesn't actually know her, but because she knows she's Lu Wen that her life could be in danger when he finds out. She wants justice/revenge for her little brothers(juniors), and she can't get that while continuing to pretend to not have a memory and stuck in that town.

They are so much alike. They use Go strategies on each other. She places a piece here; knowing it will make him place one there. They are going back and forth, and I love it. I just want them both to be on the same page about being on the board to begin with. aka the truth out in the open so they can actually get to know one another. They know the core of who the other is, but because it was learned under a lie they can't trust those versions of each other right now.

That very loaded conversation at the waterfall makes me think it was a bit obvious....but then when he read the letter it triggered a memory and he went to his home with her to look into something. So maybe the waterfall convo wasn't as clear to him as it was to the audience. Either way, he either knows she has her memories back OR that she is Lu Wen.
My guess is that the letter informed him that her family thinks she married in the capital and/or that the man in the likeness is her uncle. Also pretty sure the vase he looks at at the end of the episode has the secret code painted on it or the dagger inside it. Either way I'm hoping that he's put together her change in personality.

I feel like we aren't watching the same show. She literally just found out that someone within her own group plotted against her and attacked Cui Xing Zhou when they were under a truce....thus kicking off their battle with one another in the first place. Up until this point she thought that HE had started the power struggle/war between Lord Huaiyang and Lu Wen.

She needs to leave him to be able to investigate/root out the person/people that got her beloved brothers killed. She's realizing they are more a like and that although he loved an illusion of her, that he isn't as bad as she thought he was. She needs to make a strategic exit. She also doesn't believe that he truly loves HER, just the version of her without memories.

They have a double meaning conversation at the waterfall. When he looks at the letters afterward he realizes something and comes home. I think he either knows she is Lu Wen, or that she has her memories back in some capacity. Either way, they are at a draw.

She's not going to the 2ML for anything other than clarity about what the hell happened to the plans/why her people are now dead.

coughing up a blood clot, grieving the loss of her whole found family at the escort agency, probably freaking over if her uncle is safe. Not to mention who has been trying to kill her and take over her place within Mont Yang. etc. Baby girl just really wanted him to tell her a truth to hold onto. He should have spoken about what they will do in the FUTURE instead of making up a past. I don't know how I'm going to do one episode a day until Friday.

Sleeping like a baby because he trusts her and loves her. I just hope she can piece that small detail together before deciding to really cut him to pieces.

For a long time she thinks it's because she's been recovering from her injuries. Then...well they come up with that wild excuse of him "not being able to preform...." if ya know what I mean. 😉😏
From what I've gathered from the comment section, is that in the novel they weren't as "chased". The show is giving a little more consent/green flag energy than the novel did. As in the novel they have a son before she ever remembers who she is.
I would have been curious how he would have reacted to HER kissing HIM prior to her getting her memories back. She will kiss him soon, but I wish we could have seen her honest attempt without that back knowledge. At the same time, I'm not sure she would be that bold without her memories just yet. Being rejected by the person you love makes you pause. Testing your enemy makes you bold.

If only CXZ would have talked about their future together instead of their made up past to comfort her/himself he wouldn't have been actively digging his own grave deeper.

She truly wanted comfort/the truth from him. Seriously, the actors are doing such an amazing job with how nuanced their performances are when it comes to restrained expressions. She looks at him in that moment like "Please, please, please, tell me something true. I'll forgive you if you tell me something true." (I now have Sabrina Carpenter's 'Please Please Please' stuck in my head. It could honestly be their theme song.)

I want her to really look back at how chased he's treated her over the course of the months she's spent with him. How sad he looked those last few times in the town before going off to "join the army" aka the two times he's tried to say goodbye to her.

What we, the audience(whom haven't read the novel), are missing is the context of why Lu Wen is the sworn enemy of Lord Huaiyang in the first place. She's giving Robin Hood vibes, but there isn't enough information for me to understand why she chose this path and specifically why she targeted Lord Huaiyang/why he targeted Lu Wen. Cause an arrow to the face seems a bit personal to me...just saying. I hope we get a more clear understanding from more flashbacks/her uncle chiming in. (Did they have to wipeout ALL of her "little brothers", though? Like, we couldn't even get a group hug before Mister Slice n' Dice rolled up?

He's too immature and ego driven to bend even the slightest. He is so set in his "man lead, man provide" mindset that he can't even stand for the woman he supposedly loves to treat him to a meal. I sort of get it, because it's technically her FATHER's money and not HERS....but still he can't even let her pay for food without having an existential crisis.
