Does anyone know the actual airdate for Disney+ US? It still only just has the trailer, and all the other sites don't even have a show page. If anyone is able to watch it legally and can you tell me the platform and what country you are in I can use my VPN to work around it? Seriously, SOS yall.
EDIT: YALL.....click the link for VIKI on this page the site says "Available in 725 DAYS!!!!" i'm dead.
plzz why are the confession scenes in this drama soo beautifulðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜...That marriage proposal was…
We get spoiled with confession scenes. I have to name them differently in my journal(i keep a drama/media journal to keep track of the the things I watch) because there were so many. He confesses in front of the EMPEROR and then doubles down on said confession in front of the WHOLE DAMN COURT. Be still, my beating heart.
I can't help think about He Yan as the Sun and Xiao Jue as the Moon. She brings such warmth to those around her and anytime Xiao Jue faces her, he radiates such love and devotion....he literally glows around her. XJ is unwavering in his love for her throughout the entire show. The only time they actually fight in the entire show was to prove to her identity for himself. Only one other person knows his family's fighting style and that's her. He supports her every move. Ready and willing to let her lead. Never afraid to let her shine...because when she shines he glows.
Viki has a page for it, but I had to find it by searching with ML's name and not show title.
VPNs only work when you know which region has the license. if not you're bouncing around the globe reloading every few seconds to see if THIS is the one.
Anyone know when the Disney+ US release dates are? Tencent and Viki don't even have pages for it in the US region. I might have to use my "other" sites, but I try my best to watch shows I actually like on a platform that tracks viewer metrics.
Oh well i understand that Chu guy was second male but don't he got screen time more than the main in ep 27. If…
I think about it more as fleshing out his character before all the pieces need to come together on the board for the final arc. And doing it after the leads confess to one another would be even more annoying to viewers. This is nowhere near as annoy as 'The Princess Royal' was...literally taking scenes in the novel from the ML to give to the 2ML...
Directors & Writers are you sure Chu Zhao isn’t ml ?! He’s having too much screen timeIn ep 27 he yan…
I'm not seeing it as too much screen time. The episodes are much shorter because of all the things they had to cut out. But at least we are getting at least one other character fleshed out a bit. I feel like without the context they are showing us he would feel like a stickman.
At the very least I'm pleased most of his scenes are with He Yan all the time. That is one of my bigger pet peeves with some other dramas. As long as they bring all the foreshadowing back around in later episodes I'll be happy. I'm trusting the process at the moment. But my opinion is subject to change if they don't land it in the last 8 episodes.
What did ml told the king?About that He Yan is a girl🤔
Possibly. I would hope he did, because lying to the Emperor is a whole family wipeout kind of offense. He might have gone so far as to tell him everything he knew or suspected at the time of that meeting.
I think the contrast between Chu Zhao and Xiao Jue really highlights their distinct ways of relating to her. Chu…
Every time he is calm and collected when she is about to go against an enemy is so nice to see. He trusts her to take care of herself, and will back her up all the way. But he will never act for her when she can do it herself. There are a few times he shows amusement when someone tries to do something to harm her and he just sits back and watches her wipe the floor with them. It makes me giggle because I just hear "that's my girl...that's my girl" playing in my head.
I'm on episode 7 and still watching. I'm here for Ryan Cheng. The drama is just ok for me so far. Hopefully it…
I don't know how far you are or if the 7 episode count is up to date or not....but I think that she does a really good job when in actual general mode. Whenever the real fighting starts or she is up against an enemy she shows calm strategic strength. The different ways she holds herself depending on the situation and who she's around is a good acting choice in my opinion.
Now, who would've thought? I'm actually starting to like CZ! He's actually quite a sweet person. Unfortunately…
I just want him to realize that though he and He Yan are kinder spirits they do not hold any actual romantic love for one another. He admires her for getting out from under her family's rules. I need him to admire her/love her enough to understand not only who she loves but WHY she loves him...and want to protect that for her happiness. Time and time again he has but the People above himself and his goals, I need him to see that the power couple of He Yan and Xiao Jue is too strong and too good for the people to get in the way of.
I don't dislike Chu Zhao (second ML). I don't like him for He Yan(FL) either though. I just want him to continue to show integrity and loyalty to the Emperor and the People of Wei.
I like that He Yan was able to give him warmth, and I hope that it can develop into an actual friendship and he can let go of his romantic feelings for her. I need him to see her as more of a kindred spirit who was also confined by their birth and able to rise through their own merits.
I haven't read the novel so I have no clue if he goes full comic book....I just hope that they can all continue to work together for the greater good of the people. The show shows us over and over again that he dislikes those who look down on others simply because of their position in life. I don't want his morals to become twisted just to fit some other narrative. If anyone has seen 'Blossom' Xhu Zhao's character reminds me of the scholar(grandson of a court official) the FL helps save (i think Wu Shan is his name). Anyway...hoping that Chu Zhao bows out of any romantic entanglements with He Yan and Xiao Jue like Wu Shan did in 'Blossom'.
I just need Chu Zhao to show a little more actual trust toward Xiao Jue(ML). At this point everyone knows everyone's secrets for the most part, they just aren't sharing that they are all aware of each other's identities/connections. I truly fear for his maid though. She is giving off self-sacrificing vibes x1000.
Who was the actor who originally played Lisu? I was trying to figure out why my brain was like, this isn't the same person you just watched in Dream Within a Dream. I normally recognize people by their body movements not their face and for the life of me I couldn't connect the dots. That is until, I finally hit a video that was talking about an AI face swap situation...and it all clicked. That's why sometimes i'm like oh yeah that's him and then other times, I'm like who the hell is that....
I just need to jump in an applaud the director and editor real quick(as well as the actor). There is a moment in episode 18 when they hold on a shot of a character that knows He Yan, reacting to the Leads' dynamic with one another. It's this kind of surprised knowing/understanding...very short small moment...but it's moments like that that add up and just make this story so enjoyable to watch.
Rebirth of a Star GeneralYou can read it at lazygirltranslations
Okay, that would explain why Xiao Jue isn't recognizing her voice or movements as He Ru Fei yet as she would have looked and sounded different if she was in another person's body. As well as the weaker physical actions (other than the whole poison/bed ridden for a month) during training.
I don't have the best vision so I can recognize a person's movement before I see their face. Everyone kind of looks like a Monet painting from far away for me...but the second they move I can recognize who I'm looking at if I know them. Or hear their voice...even if it's been 20 years...(literally ran into someone I knew in high school the other day and recognized him out of the corner of my eye with his back turned because of his voice and walk.) I say all this because I was like "How the hell doesn't Xiao Jue recognize the person he went to school with for years and was trained with/fought alongside with?" "How does he not immediately clock that He Ru Fei has grown half a foot and gotten twice as wide?" (I honestly chalked that up to mourning and trauma)
Novel readers may be able to weigh in on this, but imo he most certainly fell for her first. They haven't shown too too much of their time at school, but pretty much once Xiao Jue knows she's a woman his admiration for He Yan goes through the roof. The way his eye DEVOUR her anytime she's around him...like damn...might want to turn down that heated gaze when others are present my guy. (Seriously though, the quickness of him changing his eyes when someone intrudes on him looking at her is masterful)
If anyone is able to watch it legally and can you tell me the platform and what country you are in I can use my VPN to work around it? Seriously, SOS yall.
