Well her name, Mu Dan literally translates to Peony & he named her Xiao Hua aka Little Flower. So it actually…
oh I wasnt trying to exaggerate thing. Sorry, I was just over explaining things I didn't mean to offend you. I knew the original name of Blossom was Jiu Chong Zi, which had be translated to me as Nine Layered Purple or Deep Purple...the cast always pose with their hand in a number 9...I was curious as to why they were posing with their pointer finger in a hook like form so I did some digging. I ended up down the "Blossom is the most used word in 2024 for English titles" rabbit hole.

6th? Who?
It was the first time his name appeared next to him. Characters that will show up again later on always have their name titled next to them. it's just Netflix is lazy about translating them so I feel like a lot of people miss it.

Netflix is the reason I have dropped some Chinese shows in the past. I can't hear the words and understand like I do Korean, so when Netflix mistranslates or just doesn't translate what's on the screen I get frustrated. Now that I've been watching more Mandarin spoken content for a few years I can actually hear & understand some parts on my own. mainly titles/names. So how Netflix constantly translates the girls names instead of using their nicknames/titles that people are calling them. I'm like, for the love of all that is holy, how someone calls someone else is important to show relation to each other amongst other things it implies. Thank God for fan translators who have explained meanings behind titles & nicknames. I would have been so lost without it.

This isn't wuxia, it's xian xia
can you explain the difference. the tags said wuxia so I assumed that is what is is....come to think of it im starting to think i don't actually know what wuxia is. I just know that most of the shows that have that tag just don't do it for me, but I've never had anyone breakdown the different Chinese sub categories.

Like how in the west I know the difference between sci-fi, fantasy, & supernatural & their sub-genres.

I think I'm going to have to dip my toes into at least the first two episodes just to see. I'm not really a fan of the Wuxia genre, but don't want to completely disregard it.

(For context, I'm usually not a fan of the Wuxia genre because of the over editing that happens in post, and some more technical film/production side of things. If they are mainly in practical sets I have less issues, but when it's clear that the majority of a show took place in a blue studio space I tend to check out mentally. )

In BlossomBlossoms in AdversityBlossoms ShanghaiBlossomThe Blossoming LoveBLOSSOM REVERIE !!! (EDIT)Upcoming :…
Well her name, Mu Dan literally translates to Peony & he named her Xiao Hua aka Little Flower. So it actually fits more than some of the others. Also to add, Hua also can me Flourishing. Fang Hua means fragrant flower.
So using the trending English word Blossom seems a bit lazy on their part.
Blossom should have been translated to something involving 9 layers.
Blossoms in Adversity fits because they are the Hua(flower) family and they are going through adversity.

Title Perfect Match Spoiler
6th? Who?
Zhou De Qing, who is the guy that Hao De(4th) is scoping out for Qiong Nu(6th aka adopted sister). He also happens to be the man that ignored Qiong Nu's pleas to help 2nd and 3rd sister when they were kidnapped. Normally this action alone would have disqualified him for the running of BiL potential, but Yang Xian exists so...expectations are in the basement. Still holding out for 3rd's twin to show up out of nowhere.

I saw some edits, our boy is going to suffer from the hands of his wife the fth lady.she is not the type of patient…
All I know is that he better correct the whole concubine situation, or I don't think his brother-in-laws could even save him from their wives and mother-in-law. LeShan will be leading the mutiny.

Okay so so far the pattern looks to be holding of about 8-9 episodes per couple(as lead roles).
1st: 11-19
2nd: remained only supporting, but had screen time with 3rd and 1st's stories.
3rd: 1-10(though this may seem like more, half of these episodes were establishing the family dynamic and not only focused on the couple)
4th: 19-28
5th: 28-to potentially 36

Alright potential 6th brother-in-law...imma need you to think wisely from here on out. A family 10 siblings deep that all love each other, and have powerful connections....or....a snake that would 100% let you die if it meant he got his revenge. The choice is yours.

What is going on again ? What did he do ?
I still have no idea what this YuZheng guy has done. I've heard his name in passing but outside of it being mentioned when the casting was announced for Wang XingYue's current drama(filming) I don't understand what's going on. And vague as hell posts that just talk about how WXY should leave the company, but nothing to explain WHY he should leave.

Our true enemies to lovers couple is about to kick off. I feel like he is going to kidnap her on her wedding day or something. (this is going based only on the correlation chart so I might be wrong)
All I know is I'm going to need begging(on his part) and a complete 180 when it comes to his outward personality/decision making. Cause oh boy does he act an asshole unless he has a deeper connection to someone. And by deeper connection, I mean ties to nobility.

just finished EP25. Yangxian is a good fighter, NO DOUBT. He's so badasss and can kill without hesitation, unapologetically.…
His next few roles are Wuxia. He'll be in a supporting role in Moonlit Reunion, and second male lead in The Boundless Bright Moon. Moonlit Reunion is finished and waiting on licenses/date and The Boundless Bright Moon just started filming last month.

I don't think im in a good enough headspace to watch this drama right now. I think im going to have to put it on hold. I'll probably check back in once it's done airing just to see how the ending goes over with everyone. But seriously look out for yourselves with this heavier subject matter.

Person Lee Seung Gi
Not sure why people are upset with this guy..did he debut a kpop group and mistreated them or something?—I haven’t…
First he married someone who's stepfather(adoptive father whose last name they took as their own) manipulated stock and did insider trading. This caused many families to go into bankruptcy all while her family continued to live a very privileged life. (Lee Da In, daughter of Kyeon Mi Ri and Im Young Gyu(bio father), and sister to Lee Yoo Bi are all actors too) the bio father also served a prison sentence for unrelated money related crimes.

Okay....now to the most resent issue. He was a host/judge on a trainee competition show, Starlight boys . When the participants(some of whom were minors) were forced to repeat the same choreography of a song with a 30 second break between each time. This was repeated for about an hour....the children were exhausted and had no water during this time....under stage lights(aka extremely hot).
When one of the trainees who had already passed stopped production to speak out for the kids still having to preform the dance, Lee Seung Gi stood there and said some really stupid unforgivable shit. He does NOT preform on stage the way they were making these boys perform...he has NEVER preformed as a dancer in his entire career. He was a ballad singer, host, and actor with a stunt double...https://www.kpopstarz.com/articles/321448/20241103/lee-seung-gi-faces-backlash-gaslighting-trainees-after-1-hour-non-stop-dancing.htm link of a clips so you can understand more why the general public especially the younger generation don't like him.
It would have been one thing to have them in a practice room with ac and access to water, but they were on high platforms under stage lights performing the same dance about 18 times at 100% with no water and no end in sight.

The man is a walking PR nightmare.

Title Study Group
I love that production is letting each character shine. The show is still amazing...keeping it's humor balanced with the darker tone of the show. The production team and writing team have done a really good job keeping that balance and utilizing the different characters throughout. You get just enough of everyone's story to keep you interested and wanting more. And just when you think you've got them all figured out another side of them is reveled. I think this is one that could have multiple seasons, depending on how they land the finale, as all the main students are just in first year aka 10th grade.

Stunt team putting in the WORK. Go stunt team, go stunt team, go! Go stunt team, go stunt team, go!

As an aside I really need award shows to start including the stunt teams and fight choreographers on productions...they deserve the recognition. They are the ones literally putting their lives on the line for art and entertainment and most of the time you will never even see their face on screen. Okay, stepping off my soap box now.
