Social standing wise as in-laws to the Emperor 5th brother-in-law has the most "power". He is also the son of the wife(not concubine) so that matters as well. I was trying to figure out why Sa Xin seemed familiar. I just finished Flourished Peony recently, he's the little brother that comes back in the last episode to work with the FL. The only actor I hadn't seen recently was second female lead actress...I haven't seen her since 2018 and didn't even recognize her. (not based on appearance just the fact that I hadn't had a memory of her that really stuck had to go into her filmography to see why my brain was like...I think I know her but don't know how.)

Quick question for those who have been following the production. Did they change the ML character's occupation? In most of the things I've seen prior to watching the first episode it made him out to be a military solider, but they repeatedly make a clear distinction in episode one that he is a volunteer NOT a solider. Was this a change from the novel? Did the position of solider not pass either the censors or audiences?
