I read the novel first and I really like it, I am mesmerised by the main two characters. The Enigma/Alpha CP is a contribution to the genre. Outside the camera the relation of Elliot and K. (his CP) is lovely, yet I am starting to get worried just on the evidence unfolding in front of our eyes, not from comments anywhere. It really makes me feel uncomfortable the questions that the producers are throwing at them to create this "fan service". It is really obnoxious now. Elliot and K look alright, a good excuse to be clingy to each other which they obviously enjoy - some fans in china are saying they are a real CP, impossible to know at this stage. The second couple looks most of the time lost and uncomfortable. I am going to be attacked for what I am going to say I know, but it started to feel a bit creepy. I am trying to avoid and even actively block all the fans accounts at this stage. I just want to enjoy the series for what it is. Not a masterpiece but a sound accomplishment.

He was raped by HY when HY escaped from his heat period - he unchained himself. When Sheng knew he was already in love with HY. It put him off and delayed his relationship. That was the only assault in the novel.

Im watching because of them!!! They are riveting in the story as characters and the actors Elliot and partner has amazing chemistry inside an outside screen. The 2nd CP is the opposite. Toxic no justification for one being abusive and the other lost in love (i read the novel before watching the series) and no chemistry between the actors.
