This is a great series and a great effort, but there is a constant sense of fatalism that I am not sure how much is the reality of gay men in Korea. Certainly in Europe, having a long lasting relationship among gay men is quite common nowadays and all my friends are in very solid relationships, some of them married and with adopted children. The stories are really impactful but the one who blew me away is his relationship with the homophobic gay. The chemistry, the level of acting for very challenging roles, both actors deliver a visceral performance. The highlight of the series for me.

The chemistry of the wonderful Wu Jin Yan and Liu Xue Yin is great. Another very strong CP with her, but who else thought Baron Chen's pairing with Zhao Xiao Tang was riveting? The Crown Prince longing for his General Yi, the slow attraction from her, the aphrodisiac scene, so beautifully filmed and the surrender to their feelings in the strongest defeat situation had a magic of its own. It was an impactful storyline that felt too short. Hopefully, they will be cast together again in the future.

I was so dissapointed with that youtube video because it looks she were meant to be with another man that Ni Ni didn't have any chemistry at all!

Does anybody know for sure if there will be any romance here? I read that there is not romance between the characters of Zhao Lusi and YuNing that will be most dissapointing!!! I was looking forward to a nice romantic CP between them again!

Do you know how long take for a Korean court to decide over a custody case, particularly when is the women the plaintiff? There are cases of foreign women in Korea that fight for a year only to see their children. The practice in Korea is for the mother in law to remove the child or children, and not letting the mother to see them until the court decide, particularly if the child is a boy. The figure of kidnapping does not exist among parents until the court decide who retain custody. This is not exclusive to Korea it happens in most countries in the world but in Korea is perfectly acceptable for the in laws to take control of the women's children. There is the written law, there are the faults of the law and there are the social mores and practice.

Women's reality check in Korea - Some of you are rejoicing that NY has been deprived by her mother-in-law of her child because of her negative behavior, this is not just fiction and has nothing to do with the NY being evil. It is a reality in Korea, that women do not have an immediate right to their children if their husbands decide to divorce them. There is a social media campaign warning foreign women who want to marry Korean men about this fact.

Ep 4 and 5 - Amazing and moving performances by Beppu and Sawamura as the leads!!! This is a jewel of production not only in the JBL genre but in J dramas in general. it certainly deserves a 10 rating and not a meagre under 8. Child sexual abuse and exploitation as the background of this love story is not for everybody watching experience but if viewers can handle it you have the most raw and emotional romance. Highly recommended.

This BL is excellent but very disturbing. I won't recommend it to everybody, particularly in episode 4 the portrayal of child abuse is raw. We are used to Japan giving us very visceral adult viewing experiences but with older actors here the main CP are portrayed by "idol actors" type more suited to a conventional JBL and they have risen to the challenge. I think they are giving sound performances and have amazing chemistry.

I liked both leads so much before this series that I had never imagined that they would make a powerful CP paired together. It's such chemistry, so endearing to watch. Now, I would like to ask about the characters. Was the FL life partner of Ziyu the young Emperor in the mountain? Was the assassin, now an Emperor's concubine, his lover in the mountain too, and this is why the FL abandoned him? Thank you.

Maiake was the best actor in this project, but he did not left, the project went into "chaos". At least he should have been left in the casting in this page as the project it is not going to happen anyway.

I like the series only because the CP, a perfect match, has the greatest chemistry, and so endearing to watch. On the other extreme, I so dislike the FL father both the actor and the role (that actor always does the same roles anyway). Both mums are super actors in Korea and their presence in any drama is a bonus but their characters are not great. One is a violent parent the other one a super snob. The secondary CP does not cheer me up at all, so nothing else to watch than the two leads and I like them interacting with each other and with everybody else. Charming performances from both of them. Their children's versions are the best too.

He could be a great actor but here it is too exaggerated for me, which make his performance uni dimensional. Somebody commented the same before. So it is not just my personal opinion.

This for me lost any promising beginning. The actor playing Taichi is so over the top, very repetitive performance, it gets tiring. The girl with hearing problems is deeply annoying, Kudos to Motoki Nakasawa (Koehei) that is carrying this BL soul by himself. Lovely and very endearing performance by him.

This BL has brought lovely (and properly done) kissing scenes. From the beginning, Natsuma willingness towards Sahashi advances renders those moments very endearing. I like this CP, they have great chemistry. It feels strange, however, that these over-the-top talks about work are between expressions of love!
