The unsolicited advice comment - -Check in reality - "poor me" attitudes won't be rewarded with a second chance and even less a handsome rich man. This is fiction! Stand up for yourself and even if life circumstances are challenging, create spaces in your life in which you feel proud and grateful for being alive. This life is not a rehearsal! 🙏
So liked the drama but 2 no so positive comments: What on earth were people wearing in the main CP wedding??? they look like they just came from the office to have some drinks in a pub!? The plastic surgery of Yura/BoA: girl go a suit your plastic surgeon for leaving you looking much older and with a face like a cardboard.😣
(an unpopular opinion that proved before being very popular!)For me the best character in this drama was my girl SooMin, she keeps her "charm" even in prison!- I resent though she has nightmares or remorse about MinHwan - that snake. It is so not her character! Having said that, she had tremendous chemistry with MinHwan (so they were my favourite CP!) but on a very side note, the actors Ha Yoon/YiKyung do not look like they enjoy working together. there is hardly any bts of them and when there is they are very cold toward each other. This also comes to prove that acting is like any other profession, you don't have to like your colleagues, just to get along to have the work done and how great actors they are that they manage to create that "magic" for the fictional characters purely on the strength of their acting skills. Bravo!
In Woo is the best ML in Korea to handle cheesiness. I normally dislike the very cheesy parts in K dramas (even if I like the drama), but In Woo is such a sweetie for real, he can just tune in and handle it so well (and make me enjoy it!)
It is funny that a female character have to put to avoid the censor 🤣whatever storyline a little changed .…
I was so suspecting this!!!! honestly, Chinese censorship should stop with its heteronormativity/homophobia and let everybody else enjoy a good brotherhood drama!
Ep 1 - I am watching this for Ding Yu Xi because he is a great comedian and so handsome too. So far, the usual silly situations, I like the CGI of the cat (don't know why people are complaining here). Please give up on the idea this is going to be something like The Untamed or World of Honour, the time of BL adaptations to soulmate/bromances is gone in China! New regulations have been passed that forbid those adaptations and even if the original material is not a BL, bromances are not in the good books of China's censorship agenda. This is simply a team of men (to say it somehow) with no homeorotic undertones! - to add there is a girl thrown in the mix, if there is going to be any romance will be with her. For all of those who like a good BL from time to time, let's stick to Japan, Korea, or Thailand productions.
Bromance? That it isn't BL, I know- but I enjoy Bromance very much as well..
Bromances are not favoured by Chinese censorship nowadays and adaptation from BLs into bromances, those def are forbidden since a couple of years ago. I think it is simply a men gang, men academy kind of plot, so genuine comradeship without innuendos or homoerotic undertones. They have also added a girl in the mix, so if there is any romance I assume would be with the girl.
The actress playing Su Min does her job real well. At one point I remember saying to myself, what kind of evil…
SooMin actor lip filler does not bother me but in this drama, two of the female actor has had serious plastic surgery. The worst in this drama is BoA to the point she looks like a cardboard but the FL has also lots of plastic surgery too (this has been proved) and her facial expressions are starting to look a bit frozen.
To a certain degree, I'm glad that So Min is a fighter. Unlike Ji Won in her past life, she kept the angst inside…
I wrote a similar post to you! Bravo for SooMin as a resiliant woman. I read the web novel (not the webtoon (I think they are different) and the ending there very pedestrian. The series has been an improvement for the characters of MinHwan and SooMin and their ending reflects this.
Ep 15 - (maybe an unpopular opinion) I am so glad that my girl SooMin has survived until the very bitter end. Because it is a woman that has shown to be a survivor. I like the representation of resilient women even if they are up to no good! I hate the "poor me", victim mentality of the first JiWoon. Remember this is not the SooMin who was a winner and who was exploiting her cancer-suffering friend. This SooMin is the one who received JiWoon's thrash and none of her luck in the new life. She is the one showing teeth and deciding to survive with all her might. MinHwa, both versions, was a creep, the worst kind of man, so no tears for him. He said something to SooMin that make him tiny bit human and tiny bit emotional viby about SooMin, he said "you are great", so even if he had the worst of intentions he was not blind to this woman's force. There has been a bit of GL in this drama, in the worst way possible. SooMin has a twisted obsession but very emotional, very attached to JiWoon. Her feelings for JiWoon were almost her reason to exist, she will pay the price but will go to the bitter end responding to her crazy emotions for her. What a great actor is Ha Yoon as SooMin, I hope she receives the recognition that she deserves for this performance.
