Your comment arrives just on time, as somebody must have been downvoting the series. It was 8.5 this morning, now is 8.4. It happens all the time in MDL. Yes, we are very lucky with XuJin they are so generous to each other and to us their followers. They put their heart and soul in their performance in the series and deserve all recognition.

It is important to highlight that they were very honest to say there are no plans for them to act together in the future and wish for everybody to support them in their individuals projects. This should not be a surprise to any of us. To pull a BL in China with small funding -as it won't have the attention of a high production- is almost an impossible task. As it cannot be broadcast in China it takes a while to built momentum there to have some financial outcomes. Jin is moving to his new production set on 30 October and Xu is waiting to hear from projects that he applied for. Yes!!! If I could have chosen 2 scenes more in my comment above, definitely ep 8, the scene of the bridge, the whole devastating dialogue, the kiss, the stabbing, make us feel all the emotions combined. Ep 10, this scene is so sensual. ShuHe showing his collarbone on top of ZiAng with a knife, , then ZiAng turned him over and lifting him to avoid hurting him more. It is designed to portray sexual desire for sure. I think this is the predominant feeling of the last part of the series, hate and longing. Very intense love story.

I like your phrase "wherever you go, I go". At least this part of ZiAng promise was fulfilled by the end.

It is a heartbreaking scene. You are right at this point he is grieving the lost of ShuHe. This is a very good point you are making like ZiAng is suffering "the death" of ShuHe even when he was still alive. So in a way the "revenge" that ShuHe was thinking of was happening ( agree with you post above that "revenge" is something to reflect on). I would like to know the Chinese word use because sometimes some words are lost in translation.

Agree Jasprin. When the series was airing, I also used the term ZiAng own ShuHe to let him go first and owned Shuhe not to see ZiAng die. This is what ShuHe said to ZiAng when he went to see him to reconcile for the last moments ZiAng life "ZiAng don't think to die before me".

There is a lovely phrase he said, I love this cottage because ZiAng brought me here. The best memories of his childhood, his sense of protection only happen when ZiAng was around.

Yerisina, what a task, I have so many "favourite" scenes that I come back again and again, but I will choose three that change the tone of the story at pivotal moments:
Ep 5 Jealously - When ShuHe marriage to the Jibei princess was announced, ZiAng real nature of his feelings for Shu He, hit him like a train. He was consumed by rage. It reached the climax in the drank scene. Brilliant performance by both of them, but ZheXu portrayal and "choreography" is perfection. ShuHe was longing for ZiAng physical desire, we confirm here. Until this point ZiAng had revealed himself as the platonic soulmate. So he provoked him: , so what if I am going to marry this princess, what it is to you? This only increasing ZiAng frustration but he passed out. ShuHe then kissed him tenderly near his ear.
Ep 6 - Passion - the whole end of this ep is wonderful, iconic for me. How is built, from trying to get ZiAng confused into believing he means nothing to ShuHe, only for ZiAng breaking the barrier of ShuHe lies and his own reservations to kiss him. ShuHe tried but it was not possible to resist, he collapsed in ZiAng arms, both reciting these beautiful lines that some of us know by heart. Then they kissed in "that way" symbolising love making.
Ep 10 - Bath scene, red robe - I think most people's favourite. Everything is a slap in the senses, the colour, the cadence of the words, the piercing mixed emotions of sadness, apparently deceive, longing. These lines (we talked about it Y) so final:
If I would not have been the 6th Prince of South Kingdom and you would not have been the Red Shadow guard of Jibei, would this story between us still existed - to which ZiAng respond caressing ShuHe and bringing his face next to him so he can see into his fiery eyes: "Definitely".
