Honestly, that’s really good to hear. I’ve said before that the Douban score doesn’t bother me much—Douban has always leaned more toward harsh critics than fair raters. Some people disagreed, saying that in the end everyone still looks at Douban over platforms like MDL. And sure, Douban does carry weight, but for me, those rankings matter more.
Veil of Shadows has been consistently dominating the charts, even in character rankings, and now with its Youku download achievements, it’s even more impressive. Even YunHe rated it S+, while LBTG only received an S despite having a higher Douban score. That alone says a lot.
So in my opinion, a low Douban score doesn’t define the drama’s success. A hit is still a hit—those rankings and its commercial performance speak far louder. Now we just wait for the ads to roll in hehe.

imo, there is a duet, cause if they just combined it, their voices will be overlapping. What was used in the drama was the one where they harmonize with each other hehe
