For the flatmate, he was basically jealous of him since the beginning lol. Cmiiw, but I think he also slander him cause he was jealous that Flora cared for the flatmate. thus, after he died, leading to their breakup Flora said to Luke something along the line, "Are you happy now that SYZ the guy you slander and hate so much is now dead?!" As for the ex, its more like he was jealous cause Flora is friendly with her ex (he's petty af and jealous but dont know how to show and speak nicely 🥲)

I mean I don't see him as a red flag, but I agree that this drama failed to show why Flora was not communicating her fears to Luke. In the novel it was explained that Flora has a very serious inferiority complex (partly due to Luke novel's version mouth) and is very insecure about their relationship (again, due to his mouth 🫪). Thus, it appears as if in the drama Luke is the better one in the relationship.

Someone who comes to Lime using her rich background cause she likes Luke and someone who will also trigger Flora's inferiority complex 🥲

When in the novel he was not this expressive and openly affectionate and very very blunt 🫪 thank god they also changed their relationship, I mean I dont think I can handle it very well if they stick to the fwb/bed partner thing.

for ep 18, he was mostly jealous of the ex and I think he also saw Flora hugging SYZ🥲 when he's jealous he cannot control his mouth and thats when I want to smack him so bad. you know how to kiss and not how to communicate? smh

It's basically a gamble he took in the novel. If it's successful, then it is, if it's not, he's ready to walk away. In the novel, he resigned as a way to pressure the board to accept his proposals much like in the drama. The difference is in his proposals, one of it was to actually have Dony to make a public apology to Flora (in a way it is his way of giving Flora some closure (?))

tbh, I don't really see him as a red flag lol cos Flora is the one who wanted to have a 'secret' relationship (I understand her tho) when Luke was announcing here and there he has a girlfriend and even introduced her to his best friends (he only introduced her at the end of the novel actually btw 💀). It's only his sarcasm that may seems harsh but I know he meant well. they washed him in the drama, others would not be able to accept Luke on the novel 😌😂

I agree with your take on this, I'm not mad at Luke for snapping at Flora. I understand why he got mad tbh. He just wants Flora to lean on him more and see him as a boyfriend who can protect her from any danger. Put yourself in his shoes, won't you get mad if your partner is SA'ed but your literally one of the last one to know abt it? I love how he was also deeply affected by it and in the end he also came to apologize.

ngl, I prefer that scene in the novel but I guess its all abt censorship 😞
